Well, I have to agree that the game is a mess at the beginning, but the mid and end game is one of the best in the industry. Warframe is about DAMAGE and PLATINUMS, but it takes a long time to get there

I have over 15k hours, on Warframe, so I had to respond. Why am I addicted? 1) Endless modding of stats of Warframes and weapons. 2)Guns are all a little different. 3) So many Warframes with different abilities. 4) The premium currency is tradable so you can be a trading Mogul with some time and knowledge and get an insane amount of the in game currency. 5) You don't need to spend any real money. With some grinding and smart trading you should have more than enough Platinum to buy whatever you need. 6) You can compete with other people in the squad to see who gets the most kills. 7) Grinding to get everything is addictive.
I started Warframe not long ago on my own, and at the time I started I would've agreed with him. The game is not friendly for new players, if I didn't had some friend to show me how deep the game is I wouldn't play it anymore. Very very rough to start this game not knowing anything about it, and yes it just feels like you can just win by pressing E all the time early on.

The story doesn't properly start till Uranus and is just a mediocre space opera mixed with boss fights about as complex as a spyro 1 boss fight. Add a pinch of operator/drifter tutorials and you've got the wattpad story you praise so highly.
by the clips you have used i can tell you have very few hours playing and you havent gotten to the hard/good part yet, also if you had actually played the game you would know that the story is a lot more complicated than an old guy chasing you around. please dont call games bad until you ahve actually played a significant amount of them

Spy missions, exterminations, and mobile defense missions r actually insanely badly designed. But I know the game is gonna get better like with the divuri things, steelpath, etc. but god the early game is a struggle

The problem is when you have to spend 10+ hours to get to the good part of the game. I like warframe, it's one of my main games rightnow, but having to put that much time in is rough.
The A.I and combat loop are exactly the same as from the Closed Alpha over a decade ago. I begged for changes in founder forums, less bullet sponge and more dark souls, properly designed spy missions, depth to melee combat, realized in 2016 the core gameplay mechanics would never change and gave up on DE.
i played it for a year in 2022 and took a 2 year break, now im back and finished all the quests and i cant believe how boring and repetitive this game is the level of grinding and just running around blasting through enemies with no difficulty what so ever. 24mr and I was like... i havent got time to be hunting and leveling for weapons/frames that i dont need just to level up. I got a job.
People will call this rage bait but it's actually my experience, the game is so piss-easy nothing feels rewarding while also being so overcomplicated with its 200 systems that aren't explained. Also unlike other looter shooters, you don't get weapons from drops, EVERYTHING has to be crafted which means WAITING for EVERYTHING.

They teach you how to play the game and learn the controls. If you understood the Monetization or Story then sure you should be able to note this as a review. Agree with the fact Warframe can get boring and it's mostly a grindfest. But it I disagree that it's not F2P. Yeah there are micro-transactions in the game but the difference with Warframe and money hungry games is that in Warframe it's objectively easier and actually achievable to get as far as someone who spent money on the game, and unlike other games, you can get ALL exclusive items just by playing. In warframe P2W is just as an option. With regards to story, it has a lot more than what you just described, the only problem with it that I'm sure you're also having right now based on how little you know is that the game doesn't do well on guiding new players to it as well as most of the mechanics of the game. This often leads new players to be confused and get burnt out early and having the same mindset as you that it's "repetitive". And to be fair, it does get repetitive, but that only really applies to end game players. If you're a new player and you're already at the part where you feel it's repetitive and you don't know what else to do, understand that there's a lot more that the game just doesn't care enough to assist you with.

Warframe has not that much microtransaction, thats starts when you have to pay like 300-500€ or $ just for the full game experience and story. Everywhere is microtransaction but a Game is getting a Microtransaction hell when that happens.
Being able to play with others and show the colorful frames are the main reason I still play after 10 hours, p2w is an understatement..... you're forced to wait hours to use a weapon you found after grinding or you can cough up cash for premium and skip the wait. It's free to play so I guess they can sorta get away with that

Get the free bundles that release every so often containing platinum that can’t be traded to others. How do you get plat WITH the trade system? Simple (even for you I’m sure) go to your inventory, pick a random prime part you have and want to sell. Go to trade chat and say “Want to sell [link to the part you want to sell] for XYZ amount of plat” or if you are too lazy to go to Google and search up proper pricing and also too lazy to even take the time to advertise then say “WTS [link part] PMO” (PMO means private message offers”) after that just wait for people to message you with an offer, if you don’t like their offer then you are free to decline them and wait for better offers but that is the trading system and it exists so that impatient people like you can skip wait times, if you are too lazy to even try then don’t complain. If you don’t want to take the time to use systems that are already in place to help you then don’t complain about being forced to buy premium currency to skip wait times when you aren’t being forced. You are actively choosing not to use a key system. It’s your problem and your fault you Are having trouble Hardly anybody enjoys having to trade but it’s something you Have to do if you want to get into the end game and get weapons and warframes that you want to use as fast as possible

I can kinda agree. The gameplay is flashy but ultimately makes you cower into a spam and repeat meta. There need to be cooler bosses, better melee mechanics and not over the top bullshit broken AOE abilities. Looking at you Octavia. Although my gripe is the fact that trading is really essential to getting things you want and actually being able to progress. It runs on platinum which you technically don't need to buy, it's constantly traded and shit in the market by plenty of people who do buy some platinum. But I hate having to waste my time to just get 2x more weapon/warframe capacity by getting relic rewards and having to search through the market and sell them to someone. I literally cannot play the game rn because... school, the game wastes too much time before I get to do a fun part so it's mostly repetitive grinding. I have a couple hundred hours but the game doesn't feel as different as when I began. Also I'm most of the time absolutely confused on what to do. Do I do these missions or do I do some quest? Is this even worth it and etc.
best advice i can give is to cover multiple "grind points" (afinity, relics, resources) example being, if you need cryotic: you can play void fissure excavation and put an underleveled weapon in your loadout (as long as you can deal damage with warframe or another weapon ofc) with that you cover the leveling, the resource and relics with one mission
Look i have many hours of warframe and can i say is really not that bad for free to play game many crucial progression are time gated especially mastery rank because you can't rank up multiple mastery rank in a same time

I understand why he feels this way and I admit, I had similar thoughts when I first started. I absolutely love this game but I think there are valid reasons for why he dislikes the game, even though he makes many biased, uninformed assumptions and tries to provide them as fact... for some weird reason. To me it sounds like he played maybe 5% of the game and is now claiming to understand the entirety of the game. Even though I dislike these kind of people I do understand why they think this way. - The difficulty, especially in the first 50 to 100 hours is quite literally non existent. Enemies don't provide any challenge at all. It becomes quite repetitive and frankly boring (early to even mid game that is). Horde hack and slash style games only become fun when you understand how the game works and know how you can use the tools provided to you to create a min-maxed build that breaks the game. Which is the exact opposite of the new player experience. This is why people don't stick with the game. Because they don't see the fun in the game. If people don't find a game engaging or interesting, than that's not the players fault it's the game's fault. Things like variety, story, exploration are key to keep new players engaged and Warframe provides almost none of these to in the early game. - The game is very stingy with giving new players frames, weapons and mods. You kill a boss, get all the blueprints you need then just to find out that you can't even craft them yet. And you can't even farm the materials effectively since you don't have a good farming frame yet, which makes players spend way too much time just grinding basic materials which just isn't fun. relaxing maybe if you are right type of person (which I am), but not fun. - The game mechanics are not explained by the game at all. Instead the game relies on players going out of their way to read the wiki or ask people to get info on even the most basic things. Most new players aren't even going to think of reading the wiki when they are confused and will get frustrating. It's easy to blame the players for this, but the wiki exist to give information to players who want to dive deep to the inner workings of the game, so that they can min-max builds or optimize their strategies. Reading a f*cking documentation should not be a requirement to playing a video game.

0:00 Balancing in Warframe is pretty whack. You can make your damage numbers break the integer limit if you have a strong enough setup. Try putting a boss from literally any other game into Warframe without giving them Damage Attenuation and it will die instantly because of the ridiculous amount of power that is given to you in the game. Enemy density in low-level missions is downright pathetic. Warframe has a mode called The Steel Path, which offers much higher enemy densities, adds +100 to the enemy levels on the Star Chart, and doubles the likelihood of rare resource drops. This is why a lot of people would rather play the game on The Steel Path instead. There's a bizarre transition between early-game and mid-game/late-game where the game goes from 1-on-1 enemy confrontations into becoming a mass genocide speedrun simulator where you kill 20 people every second and a mission completion time of 3 minutes is considered slow. In terms of Warframe being a challenging game, I think that most vets actually agree that Warframe isn't really a challenging game. However, the latest update finally gave Warframe a boss that you could consider "challenging". it's pretty goddamn hard to beat it if you don't know its attack patterns or have builds optimized specifically for fighting against it, but you can still kill it in 5 minutes once you get the hang of it (I chose 5 minutes because that's the fastest I've ever seen anyone kill the boss online). Warframe's main problem with challenging content is that the ridiculous amount of power that we are given makes it near impossible to have challenging content and the few examples of challenges that we actually have are kinda pointless. Referring to the aforementioned latest boss in the previous paragraph, there's no point in doing it unless you want a cosmetic for your ship that you can only get by beating that boss. I don't think it even looks that good, but that's just personal taste. 1:21 That is the very very beginning of the entire storyline. That's the tip of the iceberg. The intro cinematic was added years after the intro quest itself, so it doesn't make a lot of sense (who tf is that girl). I think that the starting cinematic spoils important stuff, but you don't really know what's being spoiled until you go deeper into the story. The main problem in Warframe's story is that there is almost no important story between Vor's Prize (the intro quest) and The Second Dream ("what the FUCK" the quest). You have to reach Neptune before you get to play The Second Dream, which takes a whole 30 - 40 hours to get to. This makes Warframe the epitome of "it gets better after X hours". Once you do get to The Second Dream though, there is an entire story arc that this first quest puts into motion. The Sacrifice, the 3rd quest in this story arc, is depressing as fucking shit. There's a quote from it that still sticks to me to this day. It's a very ironic one because of who the quote is being delivered by, but it's also a very touching one.
Spamable abilities, melee feels boring, some weapons do crazy damage others no damage at all. Certain warframe abilities are usless and have no reason for existence other than just a filler. Spamable one shot abilities, armor strip to 100% and watch everything die. Grind obviously, main story quests are some of the best i've experienced in a game. However I'm starting to hate the combat and always hated the movement speed everyone just rushes through the maps cause they are empty and the objectives are very short and simple rescue this dude by bullet jumping through the entire level hack 2 - 3 times and then go extract as an example, even the new open world bounties are boring. Duviri is awefull, Necremechs are amazing, Albert entrati meh. But the game is free so yeah and fashin frame.
I agree and I feel like I have the most fun in railjack but not everyone likes it. I think its the best part of the game cuz its harder to rush through and the scenery is awesome (for a free to play game that is). I just wish DE would expand on more mission types and activities in space since that's where most of the game takes place. I feel like Soulframe and Duviri is such a departure from what was supposed to be a great game. Now it feels kinda fractured and unfinished at times.

LMAO. I have over 20k hours on the game. If you make a game like this hard, you lose a lot of people. It is a power fantasy. Everyone is OP. It is good in so many different ways, that it would take a long time to list all the ways it is good. But it isn't for everyone. If you want a game that is "hard" and not everyone can do, it probably isn't for you. If you enjoy messing with endless builds for frames, weapons, and cosmetics it might be for you. If you enjoy obtaining everything for free without an unreasonable grind, it might be for you. If you enjoy earning endless Platinum, the premium currency, merely from trading with other players it might be for you. If you enjoy trying to get the most kills in missions, it might be for you. If you enjoy a company which is very tuned in and sensitive to player feedback, it might be for you. I recommend everyone try it. You know what they say: If you try to please all the people all of the time, you please none of the people all the time.
We wanted the game to be hard. DE Rebecca and that bald guy never listened from Day 1, we asked them to fix Conclave and Archwing, they added underwater archwing, deluxe skins & dogs. The criticism was always "stop introducing more and more fluff without perfecting the core gameplay mechanic you just added." This is why most of the founders quit.
Why this video is bad. 0: saying you can play the whole game just by pressing E is dumb because you can also get through the game without melee, any weapon or play style can breeze through the game if you put in the effort to make it work. That's not true at all at least in FFXIV you can do raids and still have fun and do them again. Warframe hasn't even had a raid system since the removal of the Trials.
My guy, you said easy but most of your gameplay is the literal first missions Vor's quest, so no true review video, or even first impressions (since that is the tutorial basically). You completely butchered the history and lore. Melee has not been the meta in Warframe for a long time and now the guns are the way to go (not that melee is not hella powerful still). You said nothing about railjack, mecromechs, the factions, Duviri, so I'm guessing you didn't come close. For some ungodly reason you talked about the conclave (the pvp aspect of Warframe) and yes that sucks, although to be fair Warframe doesn't claim to be a pvp experience. And pay to win, are you crazy, is this a trolling video? You can buy everything in the market with real money and you still would not "win". The fact is that there are absolutely NO barriers in the game that force you to take out your wallet. I've been playing since 2015, done all the guests, have most weapons and almost all 50+ frames and not a dime was spent outside the odd skin for Xaku and Protea... scratch that the delux skins for those frames, were bought with platinum (the premium currency of the game) that I got buy selling stuff in the in game market. Bait or not i really wish much of the newest content in the game wouldn't be gated behind unfun activities like Railjack or the reskins of open worlds on repeat for the millionth time. Specific frames made useless by certain mechanics, that's bad game design. They aren't what i would call good content, it's just grind. Even Diablo get boring after a while with all the mindless grind. It's a hot take but he's got a point. I enjoy old content once in a while just for the sake of it because the rewards aren't great unless you play all day but it's been getting like this especially lately.
The new player experience isn't great but dude you didn't even hit midgame. You barely touched any of the great parts of the game (and the ones you did require lots of experience to fully utilize and enjoy)
Here’s what I tell every new player “just play to Neptune”. The reason players quit early game is because the beginning story isn’t fun, the crafting times are absurd, and there just to much grinding involved. The game gets better the more you play. The quests get a lot better and the grind gets easier. Sadly the crafting times stay the same but you can rush with platinum. The reason the combat is boring at the early game is because you are fighting low level enemies. You also don’t have to spend a penny on the game. This is because you can trade for the platinum currency in game and everything in the market can be grinded for in game.

Looking at your channel, you do rage bait / clickbait content revolving around terrible hot takes for popular games. So, I mean, if that's how you want to get views and comments, you do you. But for players potentially interested in trying out Warframe, just understand that this man's take is completely uninformed. The "story" he described is literally the first 90 seconds of the tutorial cutscene. The actual story is literally so complex and deep that i cannot explain it in a text - if you're interested, there's a 9 hour video that explains everything prior to The New War update - which there's been a ton more added since, so now it'd probably take 12-15 hours to explain everything considering The New War, Duviri Paradox, and Whispers in the Walls were all so story dense. But if that's overwhelming, and you're not that interested in the story itself, it doesn't require you to have much more than a superficial grasp of the story to enjoy it - you can frankly ignore the story entirely and still enjoy the gameplay. The gameplay in the tutorial is super easy, yeah - like every tutorial in any game, because they want you to get a feel for the mechanics before they start testing you on it. Based on his take and based on what he's shown, he has literally not progressed past the first couple of planets. There's 14 planets in Warframe as just a start to the game, finishing them is often the first thing new players are encouraged to do before the game really opens up with the more difficult stuff. Things like Arbitrations, Steel Path, Archon Hunts, Netracells, are all going to be a lot more challenging for players who aren't maxed out on everything like many veteran players are - so much so that you'll probably need players much stronger than you who have done it for hundreds more hours than you to hard carry you through content. The game never gets frustratingly difficult, but it absolutely provides a challenge while you are progressing through it. So much so that a significant portion of the veteran player base will often sit in the recruitment chat in their free time and just look for newer players to help with lower level content they're struggling with. As for the "microtransactions" and the "pay to win" - as someone with over 2300 hours across 3 accounts, one of which is maxed out with almost every item possible in the game, I can confidently say I have never felt the need to spend money on this game ever. I enjoy the gameplay and the market is basically just a shortcut to skip that. In fact, many veteran players will tell you they feel more guilty not spending money on this game because of how much they've gotten out of it for free and will buy premium currency literally just to support the developers for such an amazing free to play experience. It's also worth noting that you don't need to spend 2300 hours in this game to be able to tackle everything with ease. I am a collector, I spend my time in this game trying to collect literally every single weapon, Warframe, mod, cosmetic, etc that the game has ever released. The maximum mastery rank right now is 34, but there is literally nothing in the game that requires you to have higher than Mastery Rank 16 to use. Everything else is basically just extra for those of us crazy enough to chase it. You can easily skip most of the content in this game and still have the same gameplay experience as someone with thousands of hours more than you. They'll just have a bunch more toys to play with :P. Also worth mentioning that while there is technically a "meta" in Warframe, it's literally not necessary - and often NOT encouraged - to be able to get the most out of this game. Playing around with silly and fun builds or your favorite weapon instead of chasing some min-maxed setup is where the bulk of this game's fun is. But if you like chasing metas and you like to see big numbers get bigger, that's also there for you to do. I main a stealth frame called Ivara - a frame considered B tier at best - and I can do literally all content in the game without issue with her and I have a blast doing it. Find something that is fun, and make it work by improving it's stats with the modding system, and don't worry about min-maxing if you don't want to. The game is grindy. That's kind of it's bread and butter. And if the gameplay and the mechanics themselves were not fun in the moment-to-moment experience, this game could never have succeeded for going on 11 years straight now. The fun of just playing is what is going to keep you coming back. The grind just gives you a goal to play for. If you don't like games where you have to put in a little bit of work for your rewards, then Warframe might not be the game for you. However, it is worth noting that most of what makes this game absolutely mind-blowingly good is not found at the start of the game. Until you access The Second Dream quest and The War Within, the game can feel a bit... meh. This is a known and commonly discussed problem with Warframe - the new player experience needs improved. With that said, if you do want to try it: I recommend asking in the in-game chat for some help learning how to mod. It's been said that "you're no longer considered a newbie when you can mod anything on your own without a guide."

I have over 15k hours, on Warframe, so I had to respond. Why am I addicted? 1) Endless modding of stats of Warframes and weapons. 2)Guns are all a little different. 3) So many Warframes with different abilities. 4) The premium currency is tradable so you can be a trading Mogul with some time and knowledge and get an insane amount of the in game currency. 5) You don't need to spend any real money. With some grinding and smart trading you should have more than enough Platinum to buy whatever you need. 6) You can compete with other people in the squad to see who gets the most kills. 7) Grinding to get everything is addictive.
I started Warframe not long ago on my own, and at the time I started I would've agreed with him. The game is not friendly for new players, if I didn't had some friend to show me how deep the game is I wouldn't play it anymore. Very very rough to start this game not knowing anything about it, and yes it just feels like you can just win by pressing E all the time early on.

The story doesn't properly start till Uranus and is just a mediocre space opera mixed with boss fights about as complex as a spyro 1 boss fight. Add a pinch of operator/drifter tutorials and you've got the wattpad story you praise so highly.

I begged for changes in founder forums, less bullet sponge and more dark souls, properly designed spy missions, depth to melee combat, realized in 2016 the core gameplay mechanics would never change and gave up on DE.
i played it for a year in 2022 and took a 2 year break, now im back and finished all the quests and i cant believe how boring and repetitive this game is the level of grinding and just running around blasting through enemies with no difficulty what so ever. 24mr and I was like... i havent got time to be hunting and leveling for weapons/frames that i dont need just to level up. I got a job.
People will call this rage bait but it's actually my experience, the game is so piss-easy nothing feels rewarding while also being so overcomplicated with its 200 systems that aren't explained. Also unlike other looter shooters, you don't get weapons from drops, EVERYTHING has to be crafted which means WAITING for EVERYTHING.

Agree with the fact Warframe can get boring and it's mostly a grindfest. But it I disagree that it's not F2P. Yeah there are micro-transactions in the game but the difference with Warframe and money hungry games is that in Warframe it's objectively easier and actually achievable to get as far as someone who spent money on the game, and unlike other games, you can get ALL exclusive items just by playing. In warframe P2W is just as an option. With regards to story, it has a lot more than what you just described, the only problem with it that I'm sure you're also having right now based on how little you know is that the game doesn't do well on guiding new players to it as well as most of the mechanics of the game. This often leads new players to be confused and get burnt out early and having the same mindset as you that it's "repetitive". And to be fair, it does get repetitive, but that only really applies to end game players. If you're a new player and you're already at the part where you feel it's repetitive and you don't know what else to do, understand that there's a lot more that the game just doesn't care enough to assist you with.

Go to trade chat and say “Want to sell [link to the part you want to sell] for XYZ amount of plat” or if you are too lazy to go to Google and search up proper pricing and also too lazy to even take the time to advertise then say “WTS [link part] PMO” (PMO means private message offers”) after that just wait for people to message you with an offer, if you don’t like their offer then you are free to decline them and wait for better offers but that is the trading system and it exists so that impatient people like you can skip wait times, if you are too lazy to even try then don’t complain.

Although my gripe is the fact that trading is really essential to getting things you want and actually being able to progress.
It runs on platinum which you technically don't need to buy, it's constantly traded and shit in the market by plenty of people who do buy some platinum.
But I hate having to waste my time to just get 2x more weapon/warframe capacity by getting relic rewards and having to search through the market and sell them to someone. I literally cannot play the game rn because... school, the game wastes too much time before I get to do a fun part so it's mostly repetitive grinding. I have a couple hundred hours but the game doesn't feel as different as when I began. Also I'm most of the time absolutely confused on what to do. Do I do these missions or do I do some quest? Is this even worth it and etc.

you can play void fissure excavation and put an underleveled weapon in your loadout (as long as you can deal damage with warframe or another weapon ofc)

I understand why he feels this way and I admit, I had similar thoughts when I first started. I absolutely love this game but I think there are valid reasons for why he dislikes the game, even though he makes many biased, uninformed assumptions and tries to provide them as fact... for some weird reason. To me it sounds like he played maybe 5% of the game and is now claiming to understand the entirety of the game. Even though I dislike these kind of people I do understand why they think this way.
- The difficulty, especially in the first 50 to 100 hours is quite literally non existent. Enemies don't provide any challenge at all. It becomes quite repetitive and frankly boring (early to even mid game that is). Horde hack and slash style games only become fun when you understand how the game works and know how you can use the tools provided to you to create a min-maxed build that breaks the game. Which is the exact opposite of the new player experience. This is why people don't stick with the game. Because they don't see the fun in the game. If people don't find a game engaging or interesting, than that's not the players fault it's the game's fault. Things like variety, story, exploration are key to keep new players engaged and Warframe provides almost none of these to in the early game.
- The game is very stingy with giving new players frames, weapons and mods. You kill a boss, get all the blueprints you need then just to find out that you can't even craft them yet. And you can't even farm the materials effectively since you don't have a good farming frame yet, which makes players spend way too much time just grinding basic materials which just isn't fun. relaxing maybe if you are right type of person (which I am), but not fun.
- The game mechanics are not explained by the game at all. Instead the game relies on players going out of their way to read the wiki or ask people to get info on even the most basic things. Most new players aren't even going to think of reading the wiki when they are confused and will get frustrating. It's easy to blame the players for this, but the wiki exist to give information to players who want to dive deep to the inner workings of the game, so that they can min-max builds or optimize their strategies. Reading a f*cking documentation should not be a requirement to playing a video game.

0:00 Balancing in Warframe is pretty whack. You can make your damage numbers break the integer limit if you have a strong enough setup. Try putting a boss from literally any other game into Warframe without giving them Damage Attenuation and it will die instantly because of the ridiculous amount of power that is given to you in the game.
Enemy density in low-level missions is downright pathetic. Warframe has a mode called The Steel Path, which offers much higher enemy densities, adds +100 to the enemy levels on the Star Chart, and doubles the likelihood of rare resource drops. This is why a lot of people would rather play the game on The Steel Path instead.
There's a bizarre transition between early-game and mid-game/late-game where the game goes from 1-on-1 enemy confrontations into becoming a mass genocide speedrun simulator where you kill 20 people every second and a mission completion time of 3 minutes is considered slow.
In terms of Warframe being a challenging game, I think that most vets actually agree that Warframe isn't really a challenging game. However, the latest update finally gave Warframe a boss that you could consider "challenging". it's pretty goddamn hard to beat it if you don't know its attack patterns or have builds optimized specifically for fighting against it, but you can still kill it in 5 minutes once you get the hang of it (I chose 5 minutes because that's the fastest I've ever seen anyone kill the boss online).
Warframe's main problem with challenging content is that the ridiculous amount of power that we are given makes it near impossible to have challenging content and the few examples of challenges that we actually have are kinda pointless. Referring to the aforementioned latest boss in the previous paragraph, there's no point in doing it unless you want a cosmetic for your ship that you can only get by beating that boss. I don't think it even looks that good, but that's just personal taste.
1:21 That is the very very beginning of the entire storyline. That's the tip of the iceberg. The intro cinematic was added years after the intro quest itself, so it doesn't make a lot of sense (who tf is that girl). I think that the starting cinematic spoils important stuff, but you don't really know what's being spoiled until you go deeper into the story.
The main problem in Warframe's story is that there is almost no important story between Vor's Prize (the intro quest) and The Second Dream ("what the FUCK" the quest). You have to reach Neptune before you get to play The Second Dream, which takes a whole 30 - 40 hours to get to. This makes Warframe the epitome of "it gets better after X hours".
Once you do get to The Second Dream though, there is an entire story arc that this first quest puts into motion. The Sacrifice, the 3rd quest in this story arc, is depressing as fucking shit. There's a quote from it that still sticks to me to this day. It's a very ironic one because of who the quote is being delivered by, but it's also a very touching one.
Spamable abilities, melee feels boring, some weapons do crazy damage others no damage at all. Certain warframe abilities are usless and have no reason for existence other than just a filler. Spamable one shot abilities, armor strip to 100% and watch everything die. Grind obviously, main story quests are some of the best i've experienced in a game. However I'm starting to hate the combat and always hated the movement speed everyone just rushes through the maps cause they are empty and the objectives are very short and simple rescue this dude by bullet jumping through the entire level hack 2 - 3 times and then go extract as an example, even the new open world bounties are boring. Duviri is awefull, Necremechs are amazing, Albert entrati meh. But the game is free so yeah and fashin frame.
I agree and I feel like I have the most fun in railjack but not everyone likes it. I think its the best part of the game cuz its harder to rush through and the scenery is awesome (for a free to play game that is). I just wish DE would expand on more mission types and activities in space since that's where most of the game takes place. I feel like Soulframe and Duviri is such a departure from what was supposed to be a great game. Now it feels kinda fractured and unfinished at times.

It is good in so many different ways, that it would take a long time to list all the ways it is good. But it isn't for everyone. If you want a game that is "hard" and not everyone can do, it probably isn't for you. If you enjoy messing with endless builds for frames, weapons, and cosmetics it might be for you. If you enjoy obtaining everything for free without an unreasonable grind, it might be for you. If you enjoy earning endless Platinum, the premium currency, merely from trading with other players it might be for you. If you enjoy trying to get the most kills in missions, it might be for you. If you enjoy a company which is very tuned in and sensitive to player feedback, it might be for you. I recommend everyone try it. You know what they say: If you try to please all the people all of the time, you please none of the people all the time.
We wanted the game to be hard. DE Rebecca and that bald guy never listened from Day 1, we asked them to fix Conclave and Archwing, they added underwater archwing, deluxe skins & dogs. The criticism was always "stop introducing more and more fluff without perfecting the core gameplay mechanic you just added." This is why most of the founders quit.

0: saying you can play the whole game just by pressing E is dumb because you can also get through the game without melee, any weapon or play style can breeze through the game if you put in the effort to make it work. Just saying: as of writing this comment 87% out of 566,704 people who left a review gave a positive review for warframe (on Steam). Just because you didnt enjoy your 5h of gameplay experience doesnt make a game bad. I havent seen your other videos but only their thumbnails so i dont know if youre playing a character that generally hates on gaming. But if you hate all those games so much have you ever considered quitting gaming and just switching to another medium of storytelling? Or ever considered just sticking to a genre where you enjoy both gameplay and storytelling more? Just making a channel about calling games shit and calling that "brutally honest reviews" doesnt make your channel and yourself as a person seem interesting or anything - rather annoying. That's not true at all at least in FFXIV you can do raids and still have fun and do them again. Warframe hasn't even had a raid system since the removal of the Trials.
My guy, you said easy but most of your gameplay is the literal first missions Vor's quest, so no true review video, or even first impressions (since that is the tutorial basically). You completely butchered the history and lore. Melee has not been the meta in Warframe for a long time and now the guns are the way to go (not that melee is not hella powerful still).
You said nothing about railjack, mecromechs, the factions, Duviri, so I'm guessing you didn't come close. For some ungodly reason you talked about the conclave (the pvp aspect of Warframe) and yes that sucks, although to be fair Warframe doesn't claim to be a pvp experience.
And pay to win, are you crazy, is this a trolling video? You can buy everything in the market with real money and you still would not "win". The fact is that there are absolutely NO barriers in the game that force you to take out your wallet. I've been playing since 2015, done all the guests, have most weapons and almost all 50+ frames and not a dime was spent outside the odd skin for Xaku and Protea... scratch that the delux skins for those frames, were bought with platinum (the premium currency of the game) that I got buy selling stuff in the in game market.

I enjoy old content once in a while just for the sake of it because the rewards aren't great unless you play all day but it's been getting like this especially lately.
The new player experience isn't great but dude you didn't even hit midgame. You barely touched any of the great parts of the game (and the ones you did require lots of experience to fully utilize and enjoy)
I've been playing this game for 2 years and once you get to the mid-game, shit gets hard real fast. And the mid game is around 60 - 100hrs

Here’s what I tell every new player “just play to Neptune”. The reason players quit early game is because the beginning story isn’t fun, the crafting times are absurd, and there just to much grinding involved. The game gets better the more you play. The quests get a lot better and the grind gets easier. Sadly the crafting times stay the same but you can rush with platinum. The reason the combat is boring at the early game is because you are fighting low level enemies. You also don’t have to spend a penny on the game. This is because you can trade for the platinum currency in game and everything in the market can be grinded for in game.

Looking at your channel, you do rage bait / clickbait content revolving around terrible hot takes for popular games. So, I mean, if that's how you want to get views and comments, you do you.
But for players potentially interested in trying out Warframe, just understand that this man's take is completely uninformed. The "story" he described is literally the first 90 seconds of the tutorial cutscene. The actual story is literally so complex and deep that i cannot explain it in a text - if you're interested, there's a 9 hour video that explains everything prior to The New War update - which there's been a ton more added since, so now it'd probably take 12-15 hours to explain everything considering The New War, Duviri Paradox, and Whispers in the Walls were all so story dense. But if that's overwhelming, and you're not that interested in the story itself, it doesn't require you to have much more than a superficial grasp of the story to enjoy it - you can frankly ignore the story entirely and still enjoy the gameplay. The gameplay in the tutorial is super easy, yeah - like every tutorial in any game, because they want you to get a feel for the mechanics before they start testing you on it. Based on his take and based on what he's shown, he has literally not progressed past the first couple of planets. There's 14 planets in Warframe as just a start to the game, finishing them is often the first thing new players are encouraged to do before the game really opens up with the more difficult stuff. Things like Arbitrations, Steel Path, Archon Hunts, Netracells, are all going to be a lot more challenging for players who aren't maxed out on everything like many veteran players are - so much so that you'll probably need players much stronger than you who have done it for hundreds more hours than you to hard carry you through content. The game never gets frustratingly difficult, but it absolutely provides a challenge while you are progressing through it. So much so that a significant portion of the veteran player base will often sit in the recruitment chat in their free time and just look for newer players to help with lower level content they're struggling with.
As for the "microtransactions" and the "pay to win" - as someone with over 2300 hours across 3 accounts, one of which is maxed out with almost every item possible in the game, I can confidently say I have never felt the need to spend money on this game ever. I enjoy the gameplay and the market is basically just a shortcut to skip that. In fact, many veteran players will tell you they feel more guilty not spending money on this game because of how much they've gotten out of it for free and will buy premium currency literally just to support the developers for such an amazing free to play experience.
It's also worth noting that you don't need to spend 2300 hours in this game to be able to tackle everything with ease. I am a collector, I spend my time in this game trying to collect literally every single weapon, Warframe, mod, cosmetic, etc that the game has ever released. The maximum mastery rank right now is 34, but there is literally nothing in the game that requires you to have higher than Mastery Rank 16 to use. Everything else is basically just extra for those of us crazy enough to chase it. You can easily skip most of the content in this game and still have the same gameplay experience as someone with thousands of hours more than you. They'll just have a bunch more toys to play with :P. Also worth mentioning that while there is technically a "meta" in Warframe, it's literally not necessary - and often NOT encouraged - to be able to get the most out of this game. Playing around with silly and fun builds or your favorite weapon instead of chasing some min-maxed setup is where the bulk of this game's fun is. But if you like chasing metas and you like to see big numbers get bigger, that's also there for you to do. I main a stealth frame called Ivara - a frame considered B tier at best - and I can do literally all content in the game without issue with her and I have a blast doing it. Find something that is fun, and make it work by improving it's stats with the modding system, and don't worry about min-maxing if you don't want to.
The game is grindy. That's kind of it's bread and butter. And if the gameplay and the mechanics themselves were not fun in the moment-to-moment experience, this game could never have succeeded for going on 11 years straight now. The fun of just playing is what is going to keep you coming back. The grind just gives you a goal to play for. If you don't like games where you have to put in a little bit of work for your rewards, then Warframe might not be the game for you. However, it is worth noting that most of what makes this game absolutely mind-blowingly good is not found at the start of the game. Until you access The Second Dream quest and The War Within, the game can feel a bit... meh. This is a known and commonly discussed problem with Warframe - the new player experience needs improved. With that said, if you do want to try it: I recommend asking in the in-game chat for some help learning how to mod. It's been said that "you're no longer considered a newbie when you can mod anything on your own without a guide."
