Brother, Tom is the most “controversial” artist. He’s the biggest troll of a particular mindset. More importantly, and you may not agree with every single thing he says, but he is The Truth! What you just watched is a track from Tom’s collab album with numerous independent artist, including Adam Calhoun and Dax. I think you’ll enjoy the Tom Macdonald rabbit hole which is full of societal and political music but that’s just what put the biggest independent artist on the map. I know you like to research your artists… you should definitely look into his history. I would start by watching or reacting to his most recent interview with Megyn Kelly. My son sent me a song from Tom just over 5 years ago and am now a huge fan. Tom doesn't expect everyone to agree with everything he says but wants to start conversations. Tom is fantastic, he's a very versatile artist, not just counter culture. He's 100% independent...he writes all his songs, makes all his own beats, his gf, Nova Rockafeller films and edits all his videos. She's a fantastic artist as well. 🔥HOG🔥
I have never liked rap or hip hop but I love Tom MacDonald. All of his songs are great and not all are political or controversial.

Going down the Tom mcdonald rabbit hole is a must. If i were you id go down the samson rabbit hole and the dax rabbit hole. Samson is very raw and he speaks truth and is a really good rapper. Dax is a friend of tom mcdonald and he is an amazing rapper and he makes impactful music. You dont believe me, ask any of your followers thats heard these two guys and theyll tell you the same thing.
💯 Dax is the MAN! He is another one that has this 70s kid listening to rap at 60 years old. And he is so kind and generous to his fans.

I'm an LDS grandma and I freaking love Tom and Adam. That's a rabbit hole you won't regret. His fans will blow up your channel. They are called HOG (Hangover Gang.) Tom was born in Canada but is one of the most patriotic people around.
Coleman Hughes is awesome too. I don't agree with every single thing he says but THAT'S OKAY. And for the most part everything he says is at least based on common sense, education and decency.

Tom, Adam, and Nova are all amazing. Completely independent. No backing from the record companies. They are doing it all on their own, getting important messages out there, and tearing up the charts with every release.
Definitely worth a deeper dive down the rabbit hole. Tom has banger after banger that almost all portray message that society needs to hear. Adam also has ton of great stuff. His stuff has more of an old school east coast and dirty south kind of feel to it. Nova is Tom's girl. She shoots all the videos and is a very talented artist as well. She has less music out due to her focus on doing Tom's videos, but the music she does release is fire.

I apologize for this long post. Some of your comments reminded me so much of myself, I got comment diarrhea (gross symbolism, sorry). I only share this with you as I am impressed at how well you have your head screwed on right and I feel you will take to heart what is being said (I don’t share this info with just anybody).
If any of my phrases seem weird, feel free to ask (I am a 65 year old Hispanic American - 2nd gen - and I sometimes use slang from when I was your age, a long, long time ago).
***Personal Opinion on Tom***:
I think part of the anger Tom has towards the corporate music industry is due him buying into the message presented by rappers. He wound up depressed, messed up on alcohol and came close to suicide.
He couldn’t pay his bills AND was evicted, living on the street until he went back and lived at his mom’s for 9 months, fully disconnected from the world, not even interacting with other humans.
He finally made his way back and has nothing nice to say about the music industry labels or the message they push to the mainstream. He will not compromise and had no choice but to be truly independent. His music is also his therapy for the darkness of the depression and anxiety - that monster never goes away, I know because I’ve tried to kill the one lurking in my shadows.
If you check out “Sober”, (ua-cam.com/video/H5kt27itT4U/v-deo.html ), you will get Tom’s story. He is an open book and knows that keeping it 💯 helps keep the monster locked down.
His spoken word joints are also good for backstory.
As you react to more of Tom’s tracks, you will see why there are 3 groups of people that listen to Tom’s tracks:
1. The haters. Never gonna change and the #hangovergang will always just wave🖕🏽🖕🏿🖕🏼

3. We are people that have done battle with our own demons, such as alcohol, drugs, other addictions and depression. Many of us have even been close to suicide but we kept hanging on (ua-cam.com/video/MDqKX_lgrQ0/v-deo.html). We still fight our demons but we refuse to give them power over us. While Tom’s music is therapy for him, it’s also a source of strength for us. The thing that gives us the greatest power over the darkness is knowing we are not alone. That is why we are part of the #hangovergang, we will never be alone, there is strength in numbers (ua-cam.com/video/LuVPnW0s3Vo/v-deo.html).
Lastly, some things I’ve learned after flipping the bird to Death 3 times:
*: Life is full of absurdity. When non-critical shit happens (I.e. bought the wrong car part or the car part breaks), treat is as an absurdity and laugh your ass off at it. That takes all the power away from absurdities. Things like dyslexia are also absurdities (I have it bad but joke about it because, well you know, it’s ABSURD!).
*: Life is a grand adventure. And, just like any roller coaster, there are scary parts and there are the thrills. All you have to remember is to Hold On Tight and enjoy the ride. Substances like alcohol and drugs don’t enhance the adventure, they will however, muddy the experience.
*: You are not alone. No matter what struggles or challenges you may face, others have been there. There is no shame in the struggle, it’s what makes us stronger, like lifting weights. As we lift more, we get stronger but, there is a time when every weight lifter takes on a little more than they can safely handle and the ask someone to be a spotter, just in case. The only shame in life is when we are trying to “lift” more than we are able, to not seek help from a spotter. There are lots of people who are willing to serve as a “spotter” when asked.
