I am a female navy veteran.
I joined partly because I believe our military should be 💯% voluntary. My enlistment began during a time when they were threatening to reinstate the draft.
I don't think people should be forced to serve, but I do feel all medically capable people should be forced to do boot camp.
I have never been racist, but I grew up in all white communities.
I learned SO MUCH during my enlistment.
While attending training in Mississippi, I refused to do any buying in town when I learned women housed with me were afraid to leave the base, and why.
As a female sailor, I faced bigotry from men who felt the Navy was a "men's club."
A black chief, who enlisted during the 50's 😮 saw it, and shielded me from much of it. ❤️ (William, you will always be in my heart.) He requested to be my supervisor, and stayed with me until his retirement. And no, none of "that".

New guy here, also a veteran and it's my first time watching. I started my Tom Macdonald rabbit hole about a month ago, not big on rap, but i watched "Dear Rappers"and I liked it, so I watched some more and once I watched one of his more political songs I was hooked.

Someone needs to initiate low tech communication. We are a massive army waiting to be united and led. And we are more than just one country. People around the globe need us to start something.
Exercise, do your best to control your own food production, make efforts to build real community whether through a church or some kind of social environment. Build bridges and speak out while peaceful resolution is still an option, buy arms and practice with your community so you can protect your families, neighbors, and property in the worst case scenario.

We are all the lovely colors in God's box of crayons. Kamala is a mixed blood. Her mother was Indian but she was classed as white. Her dad was Jamaican iirc he was black and Hispanic.

I cried when I heard the first 20 times and I still tear up. I think every American and every new American citizen needs to serve AT LEAST 2 years in the military. The old school military with the badass, yelling, screaming, no b.s. Drill Sgts who weren't required to baby you.
I am from Brazil, so I can say that those shit are happening worldwide. Here our polititians are dividing us like hell, telling these fake narratives. Anyway, good luck in the battle field guys!

Just so it's clear the one guy who didn't cry is a real man. He didn't feel sadness and instead he felt anger. He was thinking about the things that he would have done and that didn't make him cry it made him fear himself. Another new guy here... I can sub to genuine people seeking, speaking, and searching for truth. I also, LOVED and really enjoyed the jokes that are shunned everywhere nowadays calling your friends the "forbidden names" in the name of comedy.
Tom is changing minds...in over the 3 years I've been watching Tom reactions, I have literally seen a transformation of minds in several reactors. These are reactors who originally did not agree with Tom or his music. Then they started to like his tunes, then they started reacting to social topics, now they love Tom and stand for all his messages.

Hang Over Gang in the house! Salute to my brother and sister veterans. Being a fourth generation vet, that has TBI and PTSD, was homeless 3 years and existing under program for homeless vets. Now i have had more than one TBI in my lifetime in and out, so it becomes questionable on military related and only get 10%. Now i cook on hot plate and take cold showers because i can't afford to have gas on. If it wasn't for food boxes and food pantries I wouldn't eat. At this moment, I'm fighting eviction because the amount the VA gives me isn't enough to pay the amount required for me to live under their VA homeless program. Not to count the headaches, depression, anxiety and all the internal battle bull that comes with TBI. My ancestors fault for the Union, my three older brothers served. I remember when my two oldest came home from nam, if they fell asleep in a chair, their wives would wake them with the end of a broom stick. Remember my dad who was injured in the Pacific and what it did or my Uncle issues who was one of the 520+ pow vets rescued from death march, who's was missing the end of his fingers due to the rats eating on them. My grandpa and his issues from WW1. Oh shit, I'm sorry! I forgot, I'm white so that makes me privileged and racist. Erase the above and forget all i wrote, unless you want to talk about a generational curse looks like. Just saying.

Let me throw in with you vets, and say that I'm a 20 yr USAF retiree, with 3 tours in Iraq, 1 in Kuwait, and other "places". My buddy who was normally going out with me, aside from others, was black, and I could care less! Now I'm 65, got 50% VA disability, and can't stand what the far left is doing to our country! But what is pitiful and shameful to me is that "we the people" don't stand up and end all that sh*t! Blessings to the vets everywhere!

I was raised not to pay attention to skin color. Base my impression of a person based on their character. The Army I served in 1988-2001 backed up what I was taught by my parents and grandparents. I served with many men and women and we didn't see color. We could come and go as we pleased. Nobody stopped us and said this is just for this group or that group. We were a family. In life today I don't care who you are, where you came from. I love you as a fellow human being. We can all help each other, no matter what.

My dad was very racist and my mother was the only truly GOD Loving & fearing christian I knew! She pulled all 5 of us kids aside individually and asked us this "Do you truly want to get to Heaven and have GOD ask you why you despise part of this creation?"
