    Hey, I think i have a tracking issue with Tobii when using the head tracking only. I used head tracking alone, and when i zoom in on the cockpit panels the view jumps up and down. This may be due to my beard. Having used TrackIR, and you have probably zoomed well into thee instruments, have you experienced this twitchy bouncing that seems to be because of inaccurate tracking? Im looking for options to tobii.

      Hey! When I use my TrackIR setup I don't have any sort of bouncing issues when leaning into my instruments. I do it all the time when using the displays in the cockpit of aircraft in DCS World. I use to use a PS3 Eye Camera headtracking setup and had no issue with any bouncing on that. Recently I have moved to TrackIR 5 and that also has no issue and tends to move more fluid and works better out of the box but it is more expensive. I haven't personally used the Tobii Eye Tracker, however, so you might be better off asking for help through Tobii's official support channels which you can find here: help.tobii.com/hc/en-us
      Hope this helps!

      @@VKNorthern I sent them support inquiries already last week, no answer so far. Good to hear about the no bouncing, i think im gonna opt out for TrackIR too. Thanks.

    So to get this to work, you just need to use your head.

      what's the difference? Because I use AItrack and OpenTrack but I can't it doesn't rotate my head fully on the right, is it my webcam's fault or are the apps not that good?

    Still don’t understand how you turn your head but are still looking at the monitor in front of you…

    • @lulifz
      @lulifz 9 місяців тому

      Its not 1:1 sensivity, you just need to turn 25 dregrees to virtually turn 160 for example

    • @VKNorthern

      @@lulifz Yep that's exactly what it is! Thanks for helping in clarifying what it is.
      You're amplifying the head movement in game compared to your actual head movement in the real world so as to mimic free head movement with the in-game camera and not having to use a separate hat switch or other control to move your camera around.
      Your eyes will still be looking at the monitor but your in-game camera will be turned much further so that you can continue to see the monitor. You won't be looking directly behind you to see behind you in-game unless you are actually using. The only exception to this is VR which will allow you to look in the game world at a 1:1 ratio since the display is fixed to your eyes.
