Chevy El Camino 572 Burnout

  • Chevrolet Hot Rod El Camino with a big old 572 doing a burnout in front of the Hot Rod Diner. Electric Cut out exhaust, open headers. Part of a burnout contest, not a burnout fail or gone wrong video. Not drag racing or drift, but this would be a beast if it did.

Just wanted to point out my opinion. Older people with these types of cars and power know how to do burnouts without hitting somebody else. Very cool.

Reminds me of a car I street raced back in the mid 70’s. I had a 1970 Mach 1 mild 351 small block auto with 3.91 gears. The other was a 1970-72 El Camino with an LS6 454 with headers, tunnel ram and 2 4bbls through the hood. I had him by 6-7 cars through about past the 1/8th and my buddy next to me was screaming “you got him, you got him!”. Then we heard what sounded like a pro stocker come up from behind and go flying past me. We went back later and found 2 wide black marks from the elco running from the start to probably 500’!

    I love El Camino's. Had 3
    A 69 big block ( 396/375 hp)
A 72 blown up 350 . Swapped a 283 2 speed from my 64 station wagon. Pure transportation nothing else, had to get to work thing.
3 finally got my grandfathers 1970w small block 350.
I got it at the worst possible time in my life because I was partying way to much with the wrong people and I ended up screwing up the best vehicle I have ever had.
Hind sight is 20/20 . And kids WILL do stupid shit. Glad to see some nice Camino's on here. Thanks for posting

Let me guess, another crate motor? I loved fitting piston rings , having valves fit to the point of almost contacting each other, hunting for pistons and boring them and rods to full floating pins , changing crankshafts , champhering oil gallies , restricting oil flow to the heads cause you were running a solid lift cam , using a degree wheel to figure out the overlap of the cam profile you wanted, Man , I do so miss the engine building days!
Intake manifolds with open or stepped plenums. Cast iron and aluminum, tunnel ram or dual quad.
Sunoco white , Esso premium , dual roller timming chains , gear drives , like the "Pete Jackson" type . So much time , blood and heart went into those engines. Now you just drop 5-6 grand in the U. S. Mail and low and behold you've got a mean monster machine !
Lazy and got more money than you need!

Listen to that big block cam holy cow good things about the stall out it's shaking so hard from that cam. That's a crate engine from Chevy I wonder if it's stock like that it sounds like there's some extra forged equipment on top of that 572. Great Sound. It was also a break fans into letting out of race stand burnout until it hooks up and then stops Casino I love cars like a 71 Chevelle 454 where is you can be driving down the highway at 80 miles an hour with aftermarket wheels rubber add a simple half on the gas is a 71 4000 lb car I've seen it break the tires loose with no problem today everything has babysitters that car the 71 Chevelle with a 454 I believe the LS6 stock was more like pushing almost 500 but they down rated them for insurance and a lot of them were automatic with a giant from the factory 3 speed with a massive torque converter mated to the automatic which was pretty much beatable at the track it was able to jump off the line the 69 Chevelle Super Sport with a 396 and the more boxes look definitely has my heart to I love a good brake stand but that engine could have been wanting so much more. there's something very special about seeing a muscle car from the 70s 60s era especially one that has nearly 500 horsepower from the factory and to see that car cruising down the road at 80 miles an hour I just a good hard top of the gas will break the posi and completely lose and you ain't got no traction control to Reign it in so you got to know how to drive. today there so many safety features on everything they're getting rid of the humans that tries it's obvious California just wanted to pass a bill where are you couldn't work on your own car it's happening so like they're surely a year cars won't even matter this country is split in two it will never recover from this last election where are laughing stock where Banana Republic we have no more credibility we are going to be starving we are going to break up just like the u s s r have fun why you still can remember to stock up food is number one water and protection where you going through reset they've brainwashed Americans to the point where they are passive sheep and we are being led to the slaughter and no one's fighting back it's so obvious on what's going on how can you stop small business and keep Walmart open people have been so dumb down since 9/11 they don't even know what a trojan horse is or how to think logically critically in the real world I mean 20 20 is definitely hindsight I was supposed dystopic year I have ever lived through and it's just going to get worse please people we need to take back our constitutional government everybody knows what happened wasn't right were laughing stock we are now fully open and Republic up for sale they're not even hiding it. the country is split down the middle there's absolutely no good outcome I wish people would look at history a little better. The Justice 5G 3D printing and robots with artificial intelligence quantum computers and super artificial intelligence is the end of humanity as we know it and we are running full steam into that wall. people think it's so inevitable that the singularity is going to happen and everything is going to be connected to the web where you cannot do basic living without being connected which means track trace and sold for your data. this is no way to live life it's tearing Society apart all of it. And people still don't get it.?

You don't park after a burnout! It's a closer not an opener. You're supposed to leave right after. You save the biggest fireworks for last, not first!
