Oh my god, I love ur accent 😫💖✨
I love my asparagus fern so thank you for showing your care tips :) I look forward to propagating her!
💖😊I was just about to compliment you on your beautiful accent, and then noticed other people have said the same.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Very helpful!
Thank you very much from Oxfordshire,I love my asparagus fern, I'm now going to try and propagate her, even though it's not spring :)
Very helpful information. I thank you and will be back for information on other varieties.
Thanks, i watched from Slovakia. I like your advice. 👍🥀❤️
Thank you from Washington State. This is my favorite houseplant. It helped me out tonight more than book from a bibliotheque..
I'm so glad to hear that! Thanks for visiting my channel and I wish you a happy and long lived Asparagus fern ^_^
Thank you for this vidéo ! Really complet and usefull :)
This is an informative video
Thanks for sharing
Stay tuned
Love the intro! Brilliant vid!!
Thank you! 💚
Helpful for me 👏
Fabulous 🙏🏽
Nice video thank you ❤
Thanks so much for your video. I received my asparagus yesterday and I am considering repotting it in a glass pot. I am very nervous about it but I think it might work. With clay balls at the bottom of course, since the pot does not have a draining hole. Your video is very helpful 👍
Hi Lucie, thanks for stopping by! If you'd be interested in my opinion, I wouldn't recommend repotting it right away as newly acquired plants often need some time to acclimate to the new environment, so repotting so soon would add unnecessary stress to the plant and may lead to yellowing leaves. That is, unless the plant has arrived in bad conditions and it needs repotting in an attempt to save it. I would recommend distancing it from your other plants for a few weeks though, in order to ensure it hasn't been infested with some sort of a pest. After a few weeks you can inspect it for pest and if the general condition of the plant is good then you can repot if needed. Regarding the glass pot - in my experience potting plants in pots without drainage holes is not a great idea as it may lead to overwatering and rot, it's always better to pot it in a pot with holes and then put it in a cache pot for aesthetics. Sorry for the long message! Good luck with your new Asparagus and fingers crossed that it grows well for you! 💚
nice
I cut mine and it still had the white chunks will it survive
Wow i like asparagus fern

Nice video, thanks. Quick question, what is the name of the plant with the big green leaves on the back shelf, on the right hand side of the Monstera?
It's Anthurium Clarinervium 🙂
Mine has gone yellow. Why is this? If i accidentally touch it just slightly the bits fall off the leaves even on the greener leaf, I notice yours doesn't wheb you touch it. Also a new stem doesn't have many bits on it (leaves?)
loved the video! i have one in my bathroom where it is getting indirect light. some leaves turn brown occasionally, but the plant seems to recover from it each time it happens. what could be the cause of browning leaves? subscribed to your channel :) i think you are sweet :) thank you for showing us how to propagate this plant
Thank you so much! It means so much to me to see that people like my videos, it's so motivating to make more of them! 💚
The reason for browning leaves might be if you forgot to water it a bit too long (they like their substrate to always stay slightly moist and never dry out), it might be if it's too hot where you are or if you lack humidity in the air, or a combination of these. Mine gets dry leaves too but as long as it doesn't progress and it continues to grow it's nothing to worry about!
Needs more light, i have a few and the plant i have on a hanger facing west seems to be doing better than the others.
❤❤
A lot of my leaves turned yellow, assuming because I didn't water it enough. So I cut most of the leaves off, all the way down to just the top of the pot. Will it grow back?
Also, do you have an updated video to this one?
Hi Dilma, if the roots aren't dead yes it should grow new shoots from the base. I'd say make sure to keep it in the most favorable conditions you can, bright indirect light, elevated humidity if possible and water it when it starts to dry out, and give it some time. Just make sure not to overcompensate with water as that may drown it.
Unfortunately, I don't have an updated video, but I wouldn't know what more to add to what I already said here :)
Hello ans thanks for the tips, I’ve an asparagus fern at home for a year. How can I promote new growth. Thank you 🙏🏻
Hi there, thanks for visiting my channel 😊 Sometimes they need some time to acclimate to the new conditions in your home after they are taken from the shop. Normally if you give it some good light and enough water, it should start growing. But the light is really important. If you don't have enough light and you have enough plants to make it worth your while, you should consider getting a grow light.
Thank you for showing how easy it is to divide the plant and propagate. My question is, why kind of soil mixture do you use to plant it? Thank you!
I used just a normal potting mix from the garden center plus added perlite to aid drainage. After I shot this video I discovered a better method to cultivate this plant though, since it loves humidity and it needs the substrate to retain moisture, it's better to plant it in a ceramic pot (but I don't recommend this for other plants than ferns) with holes at the bottom, and add a layer of sphagnum on top so it doesn't dry out as quickly.
@@MiniHomeJungle Thank you so much for replying. I will definitely try your recommendation of potting it 😊
Happy to help ☺️ I don't always manage to answer so quickly to the comments but I try haha
I hope your Asparagus will be happy ☺️
Hi, I just got an Asparagus fern and there has been white substance coming out of the roots, just white blobs. I’m not sure if it’s mold or just natural? Please give me some advice. Thank you!
Hi, not having seen what it looks like I couldn't really say what it is, but I can certainly say it's not normal - the normal roots of the Asparagus fern look thin, bright and there are many of them if it's well rooted, as you can see in the video where I take the plant out of the pot. It may be mold or something else. It also may be root mealy bugs. Please check on google for reference. I hope you find out what it is and treat it accordingly.
All the best,
Aleks
nice nice
Is this edible?thanks..from Philippines...
Awesome video I have this fern and like it! I want to propagate it though so I’ll have more than one fern but I’m afraid to!
Is it necessary to separate the plants or can they all live together?
It's not necessary to separate them, that's just a way to multiply it. If they live together, naturally they will take over the pot quicker so you'll need to repot it in a bigger pot when the pot is full of roots :)
Very good information New friend joining stay connected
Do you have updates on the propagations? ☺️✌🏼💚
Yes! They all succeeded and I gave them all away to friends. By the time I gave them away even the babies needed repotting haha
Just over a year later. How did they do?
I have one that's over 20 years old now...time for a repot!
Hi! They did great despite the massive underwatering treatment I gave them 😂 Until recently I had them all but then I gave them away to friends because I had too many haha.
Wow if yours is that old it must be huge! It does sound like a repot is due 🙂
@@MiniHomeJungle Thank you for the update, and congrats on your growing Asparagus (not asparagus) Fern (not fern) Family!
Following your fine example this afternoon.
ကညွတ်ကလေး in Myanmar.Thank you.
Where did you buy it I can not find it IN Australia ?
I live in Paris, so I bought it in a local plant shop. I have no idea where you could find it, but considering that it's considered an invasive species there, maybe it's not sold in shops? Maybe it's dangerous in a way that they sell it in a shop, in case someone plants it in their garden and then it takes over and you can't get rid of it :)
I did not hear you talk about propagate the plant as the title said☹️, very disappointed
@@ngoisaomai2012 I'm sorry to hear you're disappointed, but I did talk about propagation: this plant is propagated by division and in fact I show how I divided the plant in the second half of the video :) Thanks for dropping by anyway!
Do they have spores
Can i put it above the fish aquarium i mean roots only in the aquarium?
Not sure about this, I'd rather turn to the aquaculture professionals/enthusiasts with this question 🙂 unfortunately I have no aquarium experience even though it's something I'd like to try eventually, but for now I'm not one to answer these kinds of questions, sorry 😁
@@aleksandrasaneva4661 thank you very much i will try my self and tell you the results
Барав податоци пред да го купам растението и го препознав акцентот :) Поздрав од Скопје
Хахаха не мислев дека ми е до толку изразен и препознатлив македонскиот акцент ама ете 😂 браво во секој случај и поздрав од Париз!
@@aleksandrasaneva4661 И јас едно време живеев надвор и ми викаа: "you are Russian, right?"
how do you trim it?
I only trim the yellow stems with scissors.
are there other ways to propagate?
Another way would be by seeds, if you're lucky enough that your plant produces berries for you :) Unfortunately it won't root from stem cuttings like most other plants.
So did you cut the plant in half?
I divided it in more parts :)
@@MiniHomeJungle yes but HOW? You didn’t show it.... that’s the reason most people watch this video
Dear Mimi, please head to 4:47 of the video, that's where the division starts :) Thanks!
@@MiniHomeJungle dunno how I missed this. Excellent. Thank you...
Can I propagate from seeds?
It does reproduce by seeds but it's really hard to make it bloom indoors.
Cette plante est tellement rapide à pousser quasiment plus de 1 mètre par 1ans minimum
greetings from California... nice accent.. are u slavic? thank u 4 your helpful presentation..🌞
