Is that substrate mix the only recommended one? I was at a garden center and saw Asparagus plants but I have the seeds already. I asked the man what is the substrate for it and he gave me Natural Organic Peat Soil. Thanks for any incite into this!
Peat is the surface organic layer of a soil that consists of partially decomposed organic matter, derived mostly from plant material, which has accumulated under conditions of waterlogging, oxygen deficiency, high acidity and nutrient deficiency.

I got 2 stem cuttings without roots . can I root them in water ?
This plant water propagation isn't possible, best propagate it in soil with some roots.
