First test run with my new computer.
26.7.23 Non edited. (Lost my video editor)
Update 7 version. Update 8 was bugging and crashing.
60 FPS capped (my screen is 12 years old)
The amount of time tahat took how to link Steam and UA-cam was absolutely ridiculously long thanks to Google BS security problems.

I am suprised and thankfull how my train ride videos got so many views.
I was expecting just to get maybe few hundreds from steam but this is something that I wasn't expecting.
My humblest thanks to all of you!
I am still playing this map.. Updating it.. Renewing it..
I would explain it as a uncut diamond that still needs some fine grinding untill it's ready. (soon 2000h)
I'll try to make some more videos or live streams of it when I got time.

Does Coffee Stain Studios devs have time to look at what people have created? I little bit doubt that but I'm kinda curious what they would thought about this what I have created...
The most impressive part about this to me is how you built the structures around the landscape instead of making a giant sky platform... what a combination of thouhtful design and creativity
This is probably the greatest video game accomplishment ive ever heard of or seen. Im 300hrs into this game and this vid makes me feel like im not even started. Just Unreal. Epic doesnt even begin
It feels like that doesn't it. You can play 20 hours, get half way through the tiers, have your one factory, want to learn to use a blueprint, then open a youtube hole so deep you find out you are 1/100th the way through

The architect in me loves this, the neurotic perfectionist in me tho was stabbed through the soul when the vid started with the train depot not accepting all the bauxite.

Someday I'll figure out how blueprints work in this game. Until then it's magic spaghetti sky factory. Awesome job!
Wow. I just can’t even begging to express the genius of a mind who can create this. 200 hours of my own gameplay and its spaghetti. I’ve built a few structures of aesthetic value but not one of them comes close to your simplest ones. The hours. I can’t imagine. And not to mention you dodged every structure with your camera. Wtf man, hope you find so much success in everything you do. Bravo. This isnt gaming. This is artistry.

I have no words. I'm actually stunned! My mates and I played this for 150+ hours on one world and we didn't even make a railway properly. Unreal work, seriously this is so cool.
I just recently bought the game, only 70 hours on record, and was pretty proud of my little amazon warehouse with a single trainline, boy oh boy do I need some pointers. That was stunning! Well done!
What did I just watch ?! My train is on the edge of a cliff half of the time or cutting through floor...and this guy has the train system from Metropolis going on.
Theres nothing better after a sweaty FPS session with the bois then hopping on Satisfactory and chillin

If you build something like this in a game you should be able to put it on a resume - this is genuinely the most impressive thing that I've ever seen made in a game. This reminds me of the first time that I saw those to-scale Starship Enterprises in Minecraft back in 2009, except you REALLY built out... every part of this. I'm reeling. This is incomprehensible.

*_Though, no fault of your own, but seeing as a good chunk of this video rode at a steady 23fps, with the sights constantly popping in and out and the music actually STOPPING at times to dedicate more time to load the world...I hope 1.0 brings a lot of GOOD performance changes. I'm honestly tired of a game that centers itself around clean, industrial designing struggling to hold itself together when introduced to some of the biggest architectural geniuses this age has to offer (that being you :3 )_*

Thats actually a really impressive train route. I like the parts that you were able to run it on the ground and it actually worked properly. I struggle with that a bit myself. Awesome build m8.

Dang, your aesthetic sensibilities are leagues higher than mine. My rails originally floated in the air for like a year until I finally put pillars below them this year... haha... Guess I could go back in and just do Aesthetic stuff for a while longer.

This is incredible. How did you even begin to visualise building any of this? I wouldn't even know where to start.
At some point I wanted to build train tracks that goes all around the map to gather all the resources that I needed to one place where to refine them. (the base forge) I started finding the resources first. Then figuring out where to place the stations. Then starting building train tracks between stations and after that I started decorating and adding details to it. I have over 2000 pictures that I have taken from my game starting at the begining to this day. Factory city pretty much grow more and more around that base forge when I started building my factories.

as awful as satisfactory is as a game to play, the one thing it's always had over factorio is the sense of scale you get by exploring industrial landscapes in first person. Reminds me a lot of space engineers

To build the whole map or the train route? Whole map (before I hit the max objects that you can place on map) took roughly 1800h. Train route?... Ehhh not sure.. Maybe few weeks or something. I don't really count time when I build something.

I have now used +2200h to this map. Can't really remember how long it took to build that train track around the map. Weeks? Months? I don't really count time when I'm building something.

Incredible. I'm left wondering if we are playing the same game, cause I've racked up 100's of hours and was no where near this level of perfection when I had to give up because my framerate was in the single digits.
I know that feeling. When I was playing with my old computer I had to use lowest video settings and still my computer was struggling to run it smoothly.

Hey, im thinking about buying the game solely for making a train type of factory. How much hours in are you when you can build your first train? Do you think it would be worth it for me?
Edit: does the game give you good reasons to build a train track in the early stages of the gameplay?
you can configure a custom game and unlock the train milestone from the beginning if you like.
if you are talking natural progression then trains are mid to late game unlocks (tier 6 out of 8) especially for a first playthrough when you are still learning how things operate.

It has been quite close a few times that the power would have been cut but that was before I build nuclear power plant. After building it I haven't got any power problems.
