what a really ergonomic and aesthetic looking design for the supports. it's been killing me trying to figure out how to make a longer train network without spending 500 hours on a flashy support setup.
Lately I just build the track up in the air on foundations, then remove them and put a steel post up under the track every 20 meters or so. My network is over 50 km at this point.
@@extrawatch7194 This is such a weird comment. I get what you're trying to say, but traintracks and their designs are pretty irritating and infamous in regards to laying the tracks, angles etc. Train tracks are just one small part of the game. I almost fell asleep to this 3 times while at my desk. It was so relaxing and I was literally about to fall asleep until for whatever reason this happened at 13:33 and it triggered my fight or flight reaction like crazy and now I'm wide awake. Great video and fantastic build tho.
Absolutely well done !! it made me look at my own train network and made me conclude i need to re-do it .. would love to see a map layout for inspiration and get building again..
So many beautiful creative choices on this path. The corkscrew elevator was superb and the timing on the flying creature right at the end... VERY good job. Could easily work as a trailer for the game.
A huge thank you for this! Me and a friend have been struggling with rough looking short length rails and decided to bite the bullet and paste this in. So worth it and all be it cuts a certain element of gameplay out we have already started extending it in the same format so we don't feel so cheaty haha
its a giant flying manta ray but you are right looked awesome, that beep the train made randomly shit the fook out of me but certainly got some inspiration from this, im about to unlock trains :D
Watching this train tour while listening to the soundtrack is a soothing experience to me. I really like how well-designed it all is. As a veteran Satisfactory player, I am a supporter of two-way rail network designs and I love the uniform design for your train track supports. I assume it wasn’t easy without blueprints? I also like that you ran tracks through the tunnels to act as shortcuts between your tracks.
Awesome video! Looking forward to see the blueprints 😀been meaning to do this but haven't had the time with work and stuff and thought I'd look for inspiration and you've nailed it! Can't wait to see more!😁
Seems like I copied this exact rail support design from someone on Reddit who either is you or took inspiration from you. Still discovering the game for the first time and it definitely helped! Hopefully one day I manage to create curves as good looking as yours. My curves are all wobbly because of my support placement and rotation.
well done men, i ve like it alot, only down side is that when you personnally have been in a train cookpit you ll never forget the sound of those huge machine pulling a 3km long heavy cargo and what it s take to climb hill and mountain. Wish some day a sound team will climb aboard one of these giant and really get us the sound of those machines and belive me when i say there s more to it than the sound of tracks.
About to automate Fused modular frames, and finish all the hub stuff and have yet to start any railroads. This is very well done, and quite relaxing to watch.
This video inspired me to get off my unproductive butt and finally start laying tracks. I've gotten most of the west coast and the grassy fields south cliff tracked up, working toward the crater lakes next. It's actually kinda fun!
Never saw the point in trains beyond cosmetically. By the time you get far enough to use them you already have or close to the best conveyors which are easier to make and enough to transport every you need, making trains redundant before you make them.
Me: "Ummm, pardon me conductor. Why do the seats on this train have rollercoaster like shoulder harnesses?" Conductor *smirks "Just keep your hands inside at all times.
This looks great! I tried building my first double track connection through the desert canyon but couldn't avoid those small wiggles that happen over long distances when curving or stepping down/up in elevation. The rails always try to orient themselves to the slope they're placed on but I can't think how to make it ONE long curve rather than multiple smaller ones that level out every pillar. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Why cal the station s'Hertogenbosch?? highly curious since i did not anticipate seeing the name of the rarely know town i grew up when i clicked on a suggested video.
I hope to have a copy of this world, i LOVE how smooth the tracks are. You can remove any factorys and progression. i just really desire the track lay out xD
1st rule: you have to build supports on the same grid 2nd rule: stick to 25/50/75/100% inclines only to be able to smooth track connections by 1/2/3/4 meters ramps
The moment I walked around the map was the saddest, there was nothing else to do in the game. Once everything is scouted there's no more reason to build any more factories. Factorio is better suited for that. But... yeah, that was one hell of a world! Or... heaven? That was beautiful.
Absolutely impressive !! Great work and as a veteran Satisfactory player, it makes me play more !! If I may ask how many hour did it take you to build the whole railnetwork with your quite aesthetic support pillars ?
Can somebody explain to me why you would run all trains on the same tracks? I never saw a reason to not have them all on seperate tracks? Or is it just becuase it looks cool?
Hi i dont understand at the end of the video at the station why you have used a block signal between each storage bin at the station a station should always be one block
I tend to 1x1 rails, so there’s a dedicated rail in each direction, but I feel like if I was better I’d be able to scale it down to just one, and have trains waiting for the route to empty out. There’s so much unoccupied rail..
Is there a trick to making turns with the rails? Every time I try to turn the track, or make a loop, it is a royal pain in the ass to get it to work. It's always too tight a turn, too steep, or too long. My loops end up being massive because I can't get them to work right. And when I do finally get it to lay down, my OCD is tweaked because none of them are uniform, and they look like trash.
Isn't there a significant risk of collision in double track intersections if you don't take the precaution of passing over or under a rail of another loop? .
I doubt it tho, if you had set up the signal correctly, it shouldn't be. as i understand, the signalling is the similar to the one in factorio and openTTD where you need to ensure the "block" is setup correctly.
I grabbed this on SCIM and using it in new build... Very well done, hits every area and I really love the double stacked stations! Not sure how you got it all working w just block lights. I added a station and put in paths on that new one, but it stopped traffic.
