- Tennessee and Texas played an elimination game in the 2021 College World Series. The winner would keep their season alive and advance to play another elimination game, which will be against the loser of Mississippi State-Virginia.

I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

Vols lost because they couldn’t stop walking people and then when they did start throwing strikes, Texas bats came ALIVE. Great showcase of “walks are runs”
Also aggressiveness on the base paths Vols catcher was a weakness for them today and Texas kept exploiting him.

I always thought of it as a football channel, but yes it's a great highlight channel, no matter the sport.
For real. The live shot on the ESPN broadcast was not good but Wheels’ editing skills come in clutch again

Ark fan here and I thought Tennessee was the best team we played all year but in my defense I didn't see the Arkansas/Texas game. Texas is legit. Heck so is NC State!
But to be fair we were better than Texas or Tennessee by far. Just couldn’t beat NC State... I guess that’s baseball.

@@jeffdarnell7942 sunday was a disappointing performance but Virginia showed up. I think we all were blindsided but that’s baseball & that’s Omaha. Every inning counts and it comes to bite back. These guys were great it just sucks that we didn’t get to showcase our team a little bit longer. You can call it typical Tennessee fashion but I got nothing but love for the home team. We’ll be back.

For people wondering about the call at home. It was an obstruction call, that's why he was safe. Same thing happened in game one of the OU/FSU WCWS a couple weeks ago. Ump got the call right. TLDR: You can't block the runner's base path without having the ball. You can either straddle home plate, be on the fair or foul side of the plate, but not in front of the plate's edge facing 3rd. Wasent the best last 2 games we had hard time guess they lost their fire after beating lsu like they did none of our sports can take it all the way.
Don't give up hope. I think this was the first of many trips for Tennessee to Omaha and it can been overwhelming at times. You're up against the 7 other best teams in the nation when you're there, so every game is a battle royal.

7:40 tennessee coach getting tossed for arguing a ball on the chalk inside... just dumb. that's the umps fault though. started the game out calling balls and stikes out that were almost on the chalk then not inside. the inconsistency caused the coaches to get mad. both sides.
