There's actually a deleted scene that shows that Tsu'tey survived the fall. He's too badly injured, so he asks Jake to kill him, and in doing so passes the honor of olo'eyktan/clan leader onto Jake Edit: I'm aware that this is actually in the extended version, I meant deleted as in deleted from the original cut. Thanks lol
It's not a deleted scene. It's the extended version. He did not survive but slowly dying. He asked Jake to do the native ritual because he knew he can't survive, like when Jake or Neytiri do when they finish the dying animal while praying " I see you Brother and thank you. Your spirit goes with Eywa, your body stays behind and become part of the People ". Here is the scene ua-cam.com/video/6XuFg0aVt6o/v-deo.html
"How do they know the difference?" If you look close, the Navi only have 4 fingers, while Jake and the Avatars have 5. It's a more obvious difference than just the way they talk and carry themselves.
I mean I always thought it was the fact that their literally dressed in clothes that humans wear, I noticed the difference with the fingers but I always just assumed the clothes was an immediate give away to the Navi
Also, their facial structure is different. It’s not so apparent in Jake but if you take a look at Grace and Norm’s avatars, their features are closer together and more narrow (more humanoid, basically) than the Na’vi that we see in the movie.
As a wheelchair user I agreed with the happiness and anger that Jake felt with his chair and honestly if you had the choice to walk and be with the one you loved and leave your disabled body behind, I’m taking the blue da ba dee life 😂
@@Zombina638 yeah, I don't think that's the reason. From what I understand he's been "world building" which is why the sequels are going to come out in relatively quick succession.
And fun fact, the Na'vi actually shoot their bows backwards! They shoot with their wrist turned outward, away from their face. It was something James Cameron thought of on set. When he brought the idea to the archery teacher, they had said something along the lines of, "You can't shoot a bow like that!" and James just grabbed the bow, and shot it at a nearby bush, and was like, "There. I just did!" 😅
Jake is so fine as a human and an avatar!!! Him and Neytiri look so good together. And yes... T'sutey is a babe too..The movie is one of my favorites and I can't wait for part two to come out! I've been longing for this for years!
A lot of people thought that Graces avatar looked weird, you’re not the only one. The reason for it is that they modeled Graces avatar to be 16 or so years younger then grace actually is. They even pulled reference photos from alien, when she played Ripley to make it look like a younger version
Which of course makes perfect sense because Grace has been on Pandora for a considerable amount of time - e.g. she invested at least 10 years in the school, plus time conducting scientific investigations
@@clarkebrazofsky9558 yeah her's was a first generation model of avatar, which is why she looks more human than even the other avatars, other than the 5 fingers she also has eyebrows and smaller eyes. Also another reason she looks younger is that the na'vi and avatar age slower than humans, their lifespan is apparently 30% or so longer than human's.
A lot of people give this film grief for not being original. But when you look around the world it's clear that we still haven't learned the lesson yet.
A way the Na'vi know the difference (in a deleted scene between Neytiri's mother, father, and Tsu'tey) they can tell from faciel features like Jake's smaller eyes. Its really cool to know that there's an uncanny valley for Na'vi's and that is dream walkers :)
Highly recommend watching the new one in the theater! The first one was an EXPERIENCE. The way they created the movie to be viewed in 3d was intense and so beautiful. I was glad to have been able to see it in-person back then.
The natives have alot of differences from the human driven avatars, first the Na'vi have 4 fingers, while avatars have 5. Secondly the avatars have hairy eyebrows while the Na'vi just have colored skin. Third, the natives have bigger, rounder eyes compared to the avatars. They learned to identify these traits while attending a school that Dr. Grace Augustine was running. This is also where they learned basic English. This school was shot up by the military and Neytiri's sister was killed. This is why they dont trust "the sky people" and say they cant be taught. (The reason they give jake a chance to prove himself is because the first humans to come to Pandora said identified as "scientist", while jake claimed to be a "warrior", somthing they could understand and more easily relate to)

I still read Tsu’tey fanfics on ao3 and I’m PROUD.
Tsu'tey will forever be my favourite character in the Avatar franchise and I will forever be salty they killed him in the first movie. (Also I wish there was more fanfics for him on AO3?! Why aren't there more?!)
the na'vi in general are just so cute imo and their culture is so beautiful. I hope out there in the cosmos there is an alien civilisation like them and i also hope we never come across them for reasons you see in the film haha
you could always watch it in cinemas and then come back to watch it at home when it gets released digitally! i would love to see you watch the second :)
Omg I never even thought about that ahahaha ha 1:46....all I use to think is that he reminded me of the soldier from toy soldiers lol
Avatar Jake is SO FINEEEE for what!!! Neytiri too!
17:20 I CANT STOP LAUGHING HE JUST DISCONNECTED 😭
"Which is why they offered me the gig because..."
"you can't walk."
"...cause i can link with tommy's avatar."
"oh. nevermind, sorry."
💀💀
This movie is one of my favorite’s so happy you watched it :)
I find it funny how you talk about this movie
12:46 his smile is so cute 😭
Yes please go watch the new one in the cinema 😁 avatar is still my favourite 3D experience and I'm a huge MCU fan so that's saying something 😅 this is one of those experiences you never forget ❤️
James Cameron (the director & writer) said that there will be 5 Avatar movies total
From the first few minutes, you already have me rollinggg lmao
the greatest movie of all time....still ranked #1 in the world. This movie was 100 time better at the IMX in 3D. Note even close to being as good on regular tv.
Lmaoo when Tsu’tey first came and the music came in and you were like ookaayy👀
I cackled 😂
When Jake's ikram comes back it's like the Na'vi lost trust in him but Eywa still trusted him by sending his ikram back (?)
11:22 the way you said "it's only his first day" lmfao 😂
I loved your reaction video/ response sort of thing. You are very entertaining and I like how your commentary was similar to my thought process during the movie. You just a got a subscription!
my dad looks EXACTLY like the commander with the three stripes, its crazy 💀💀
Avatar 2 is gonna be movie of the year this movie means so much to me there is no way it can be a flop

Omfg your editing is gold “go get the gun” had me dead af
Bruh , the computer sound when he passed out has me DYING 🤣🤣🤣
If you didn't notice, the big dragon thing TRIED TO KILL JAKE, SHOWING THAT IT CHOSE JAKE BEFORE JAKE JACKED HIM!!!
i can not wait to see your reaction to the second one it’s amazing
18:43
Look as that little scratch
*Pilot looks over*

GURLLLL I MISSED THIS CHANNEL!! And you’re covering my favorite movie too 😭
If you loved this movie, may I recommend James Cameron’s other blockbuster classic hits: The Terminator and Terminator 2?
theres gonna be much much much more! in the 13 years of filming they were also getting ready for 3 and 4!
I've always had the hots for Jake and tsu'tey, they have no business making them so fine 😂
