That's because these are modified guns, not human guns. The Na'Vi are huge and these guns are still big, and you can only get ammo from mechs. Correction: The AMPs mainly use the GAU-90. The guns we used are modified with big calibers meant for taking out Na'Vi.
yeah I'm very surprised at how little amount of people mention the laughably low amount of weapons in "open world" game, there is like 5 fucking weapons in total...
@@giggajames1903 its stated in multiple companion books that an arrow fired from an adult Na'vi huntress has the same stopping power as a sniper rifle. That's a reason I find it funny how people complain about the RDA not having "arrow proof" glass on their gunships, considering a Na'vi arrow is similar to a high power rifle. And with a banshee dive it increases in power exponentially.
Stepping out of the movie and into reality for a second. Historically (and even in modern times) there are bows that can go up to and even over 300lbs of weight needed to pull the string back. Think for a minute about how much power that translates into. Along with this, there were even arrow heads designed specifically for punching through armor. These kinds of heads could even be made simply by burning down the arrow’s head in a fire, thus hardening it. The reasons guns eventually supplanted bows was due to how it was easier to train someone how to use a gun and how much easier it was to manufacture ammunition and aim/be more accurate with the weapon. With all that taken into account, and stepping back into the world of pandora, humans have said the Na’vi are physically stronger than humans, and like before how bows can go into the 300+lbs range of draw weights, what’s to say that Na’vi are not in possession of bows anywhere from 400-500+ in terms of draw weight. Even with windshields rated for those kinds of forces acting against them, they’re probably not rated for something as small as a piece of fragmentation striking with equal or greater force.
I was expecting a lot more rda weapons like the 2009 game but also the lore says there’s about 2 handfuls of weapons that can be used by na’vi/avatars, oh well that’ll have to do
Well the rda made a few different handguns, rifles, and even LMGs for there avatars I just wish that we could have been able to see the revolver from the second movie

I think id personally enjoy an avatar game more if you played as a human avatar driver. So you could get the human experience with the full arsenal of weapons and human vehicles, but then could switch to your navi body sometimes and be able to use the navi weapons and ride animals. That way you get both experiences in the same game.
Think Navi has the Left Hand as the most common dominant, so when they gave them human weapons, they instructed them to use them as we did, where the Right Hand is dominant. At least, that's how I see it making sense, the guns weren't made by the Navi, so it doesn't line up with their most common Dominant hand.
I am a bit disappointed in how few weapon types they added to the game. Avatar the game, which was released in 2009, had much more variety in weapons with flamethrowers etc. Since most of the missions involves combat in Frontiers of Pandora Ive quickly grown bored with what they gave us. Which is very sad since I really enjoy the beautiful world that they have created.
I think they need to make the spear thrower optional while having a standard spear and dynamic melee with it equipped. They need more melee weapons like a knife, club, mace, axe, etc. make it to where I can properly get in the RDA’s faces 🙂🤣
