Watch my hair grow. watch my nails rot. send in the hour glass. lost in the desert. if I could live forever. time would be irrelevant. birthdays, anniveraries. numbers, place holders. counting your days in this prison. marching towards death. in perfect rhythm.
Such a great song, in a genre that (to me) is full of a shit load of songs that I like the idea of but rarely delivers on a per song basis like this one.
Sup duders. I'm puttin together a crust punk and power violence channel for artists coming from northern California, mainly Santa Rosa. If anyone is interested on what's going on, scope it. I'll be loading more videos as time progresses, and as more bands emerge.
I never thought of them as powerviolence? I always thought they were just a straight up grind band, but then again i've never listened to a powerviolence band before haha
Hatred Surge fucking rip. Wish I knew more bands that were this heavy and pissed off... Only one I can think of is Despise You. On the bright side, I just took 5 minutes of my (obviously miserable, parent-hating) life and tabbed this song. Too lazy to do the solo, though. Let me know if anyone's intereted. If I don't feel too lazy I'll eventually upload a cover to youtube.
powerviolence is different grindcore in that it's more sludgy. and it has more of a hardcore feel than a metal feel, like grindcore does. that's how i define powerviolence.
really there isnt much dofferance between powerviolence and grindcore,powerviolence if it was a label too music in the 80`s then bands like heresy/intence degree/pycho/cryptic slaughter/wheremcht would be classified as powerviolence,,i think,,lol,
@PlatypusxOuroboros "Wish I knew more bands that were this heavy and pissed off... Only one I can think of is Despise You" Seriously? You aren't looking hard enough.
@haveacigar91 Come on. Kids who want to be provocative will listen to shit like Slipknot. That this music doesn't speak to you is your loss, and that's totally ok. But at least have some respect for musicians who actually make authentic music and don't make money from it. If you really think you should invest your time in bashing Hardcore/Crust/PV bands then your vision of music is completely wrong. Now go back to your awesomely pretentious "intelligent" music, I won't judge you for it.

@freddy aides because they're fucking awesome, and powerviolence doesn't play by stupid rules or stereotypes. That's why.
& chicks fit in perfectly into Fastcore/PV...their vocals are amazing
Check out the band Immoral Majority.
this got me excited. thats super-rare. so fucking good.

Why is the sound quality in this video so much better than anywhere else? : /
You think this sounds good, listen to VALLENFYRE splinters, it blows this away
There's a version floating around on the internet of this album that was ripped and encoded shittily that's compressed as hell. This is the better one

@pigsticker860 This.
originally grindcore and powerviolence sounded different from each. crossed out hardly sounded like assuck. in my opinion anyways.
Out of all genres, why are their so many powerviolence bands with chicks in them?
@haveacigar91 Trolololo
I only like the bass hahaaha
