This is perfect timing! I have a project where I need to move an image with the subject's finger, from out of frame to the bottom/centre. Not exactly what you showed here but now after effects doesn't look so intimidating!

Not sure if there was a reason why, but you dont need to copy and paste your trim paths to your second stroke if they are simultaneous. Just putting the trim paths in the group (contents) below both paths (instead of the trim paths being grouped with the individual path) will tell the trim paths to affect both of your paths simultaneously. Saves you keyframes and time in the future. @Mango Street
Also, As an option, You could key your mask expansions (so you dont have to move them off screen and lose the positions) to a negative so they are essentially void.
Robert Jamison II reason i do it that way is I usually do like to offset their timing. The mask expansion is a good tip, though. Thanks!

I do a lazy color "grade," if you will. I throw a LUT from a Ligthroom preset over everything at an intensity of 30 or so. 👍

Can you do a video about self portrait and taking photos with your phone?
Hi I just wanted to ask if you knew that you don't don't have to render anything if you work with Premiere and AE.
You can just drag compositions directly from AE to Premiere while both programs are open to make a shared composition. When you do this you can just edit your compositions in AE and it automatically updates in Premiere :)
I use it all the time.

Yeah, that's definitely a great way to do it, too. I usually just like rendering it out because I find Premiere handles it a little better that way.
I actually have no idea of what's going on but I'll still leave a like because I love Mango Street :D

2:52 - I understand that this is just a quick example but the end of the line looks like it is standing up, not laying flat on the ground. Change the angle of the end of the line.
As the line gets further away it should get a bit skinnier and possibly a bit darker. Dirt or shading on the line would have made it seem a part of the Video rather than painted over it.
Animating the speed as it painted would have put it past a quick example.
I appreciate that not every technique is covered. It just looks a little off.
Pick an easier example that can be presented in the time you wish to spend.

To be honest, manual masking like this is a lot easier in Sony Vegas. Might just be that I've used Sony Vegas for like 8 years..
