From my understanding, a variant is just a version of someone not from the "Sacred Timeline". In Loki we learn that the universe that the canon MCU has been taking place in was controlled by He Who Remains and the TVA which he created. He Who Remains himself was a Variant of Kang from one of many alternate universes, and was the last one standing after the Kang's multiversal war. After the war, He Who Remains seperated the MCU from the rest of the multiverse and created the TVA to prune alternate timelines in that universe to maintain one main timeline.
The reason He Who Remains dud this is:
1. By isolating their universe, Kangs from other universes cannot attempt to conquer their universe, thus removing them from any future Multiversal wars.
2. By maintaining only 1 timeline within that universe, he can ensure that no variants of him pop up and overthrow his control.
From what I can understand from Loki and the Multiversal movies, the multiverse has infinite universes, each universe differs from the rest in some way, and each unique universe can have infinite branched timelines based on the decisions people make.
Due to this, it is my belief that there is only one TVA and that is the one from the Loki show. So because Wade wasn't pruned for his disruption of the timeline, this means either a. They're introducing a new TVA, or b. This takes place "post" Loki. I say post because technically, since the events in the TVA happen outside of time, the events of Loki have now "retconned" reality to have always existed. What we do know is that since Deadpool and X-Men have clearly been seperate cinimatic universes until this point, they take place in seprate parts of the multiverse. But, now that Loki has happened, they are able to enter the core MCU through the TVA, or through other means such as what we see in Multiverse of Madness and No Way Home.
This is all to say. It isn't really important whether or not Wade is a variant since he is from a seperate universe. The TVA isn't grabbing him cuz he's a variant, there is some other, ulterior motive which drove them to seek out Wade.
Hope this helps a little. Not saying I'm right but I spent a lot of time making sure I had an understanding of Loki since it was one of the most important events in the MCU. Also, just to clarify something since it is vague in the movies. The version of Loki from the TV show is a variant since he changed the timeline by teleporting away with the teseract in End Game, however, in End Game we are shown him teleporting away as if it is part of the main story, but I think this was meant to tease at Loki's story and hint that he might not be gone forever after dying at the hands of Thanos. Again, just my personal view on everything, keep up the good work fellas.

This is extremely tough to explain so thoroughly. And I do believe therin lies the problem. I personally really enjoy what Marvel has been laying out, but I also understand the storylines. To the average fan or casual viewer it may be way too in depth and difficult to understand because everything matters. So much content to follow.

Cmon now. Sure not everything landed in the past 3 years, but there have been just as many hits as misses. I think Marvels been on top so long that folks tend to highlight the losses and glaze over the fact there are still many hits as well.

That was the beginning of the decline, imo. Marvel movies always make money, doesn't always mean the flick is good.

Captain Marvel is the main one of Phase 3. Guardians 2 was OK. Dr. Strange was good, but the final villain was kinda lame. The rest of Phase 3 was great. Phase 4, on the other hand........

Imagine criticizing a franchise that’s gonna be around for 30 years or more. I don’t mind criticizing the MCU when it’s required but acting like Deadpool is gonna save the MCU is just pathetic. Since avengers endgame phase 4 and phase 5 box office has made over $8 billion dollars. MCU is still and always will be the best comic book franchise of all time. Do they need to get better?? Hell yes but acting like this is the DCEU is crazy to me.

@@ThreeShadesofWhatever I can show you good-great comic book films that didn’t make no money but that’s not the point. The point is that the MCU has hits in phase 4. The problem is that they’re making too content. The comic book genre is still the genre out right now. It’s just not as consistent as it used to be. When I think of a bad cinematic universe I think of the DCEU and the MCU is far from being that 💯
I'm crossing my fingers that everything bad released so far in the MCU was on purpose. Just for this movie "event" that will finally change the course of the MCU going forward. Have Deadpool kill the "wokeness" and "She-MCU" and talk about it and even be the solution to the Kang the Conqueror villain problem now that the actor won't be coming back. I wonder if Loki recruited or chose Deadpool as the one to bring the New Avengers together to face off against Kang but ends up messing the MCU even further instead of saving it and that is what leads to "Secret Wars" aka Battleworld in the Void planet we saw in Loki series. That giant gas monster at the end of time was in this trailer for a brief second taking a TVA Soldier.
I think they've definitely been on a decline since the end of Phase 3. (Endgame) Infinity War to me was awesome and Endgame was a decent conclusion to over 10 years of buildup. What came after has sucked. She Hulk, Quantumania, The Marvels, Madame Web..... Loki was the only decent thing to come out since the end of Phase 3 for me.

@@ThreeShadesofWhatever You might be referring to the grading, you could argue that. Even then though, that wouldn’t be accurate. As well, that’s not cinematography. The framing beats are much closer to Deadpool 1, as are aspects of the grading; or even akin to Matthew Vaughn films in terms of cinematography itself. There are literally EXACT frames referencing both previous films in a tongue n’ cheek way multiple times just in the trailer. Utilizing the exact same cinematography methodology as previous films… So, again. As I said.
That’s alioth that smoke taking that TVA person.. so they have to be in Void there 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
