I loved the Benny Hill show back in my college days. It was the first time I had cable and could get more than the one channel I grew up with. Benny Hill was new, different, and fun. Thank you for this.
I watched Benny Hill on PBS when I was a kid. Thank's for the memories, y'all.
Back in the 70s Benny Hill would come on and my mom would watch it and way our apt was that my bedroom was at end of hall with bed next to the door. So if I left door open and was at end of bed, I'd be able look down the hall and see the TV. So I'd be up past my bedtime watching late shows on the sly. I loved Benny Hill despite being under ten. Once I was in my teens mom let me watch it with her along with several other British sitcoms like Fawlty Towers. Black Adder and Are you Being Served.

No one does stuff like this now. I know it’s hard for people not to take things literally today. Everyone is looking for a reason to be offended. But when this was made in the late 70s or early 80s, people wouldn’t have been bothered by this. It was just looked at as a live action cartoon.
