Hi everyone! I have a NEW food photography video on five tips to improve your food photography! Check out the new video here and let me know what you think!
bit.ly/improve-your-food-photography
Thanks
Something I really love about this is that you have an entry level DSLR (like most people probably do) but you emphasize the use of a tripod, light diffuser, and great composition! You also seem to have a great working knowledge of the camera and photography! Having all this knowledge makes your food photos look amazing!
Hi there! Thank you so so much for your kind and supportive comment! And yes, you can definitely take high quality photos with an intro camera if you know how to work with light and composition :) I talk more in depth about those topics in my new video if you want to take a look! ua-cam.com/video/EMmHixjZXTs/v-deo.html
@@RainbowPlantLife Amazing thank you! I'll be sure to check it out!
I love how carefully chosen each of your props and photo elements are! You truly tell a story with your shots. Thanks for being so kind and for sharing your tips with this community!
MystelWinters aww what a thoughtful and sweet comment! I appreciate it and so happy you enjoyed the tips!
I love the idea of crushing the cranberries! I love adding purposeful messes bc it adds some texture & a homemade look 🙌🏼
I love that too! Thank you, Taavi!
Totally in love. I was needing to see something like this! Thank you Nisha you’re amazing💕🙏🏻
Hey Keisha! I'm so happy you found this helpful :) Lots of love to you!
Love this!! I just started taking food photography seriously, it's wonderful to another foodie's process! Sometimes it can be a struggle to adding a human element when you're a one women show!
Hi there! I'm so happy you loved the video! I agree - I love seeing how others style and photograph too! The human element can be tricky but I always use a remote so I can get in the scene myself :) If you don't have a remote, I definitely recommend getting one (the remote I use is here www.rainbowplantlife.com/shop/). Hope that helps!
Whoa genius! When someone does it with love and passion, it just shows! 👍🏼💯 ❤
Appreciate it :) Thank you so much!
I am beginner with food photography and watching your tutorial is such a delight , you make it sound so lucid , well explained and yet crisp . Highly recommend to more friends who are interested in styling
Please make more food photography videos! They are so good and you explain it in a way that totally clicks!!!
Aww I am so happy you find them helpful! Thank you for letting me know. I will try to do more :)
Great video Nisha! You are so sweet to share this with your viewers. Great to see how other people do their food shoots! Playing around with the different settings on my camera to get the look I want is SO much fun!
I keep coming back to this video as a reference. Please do more!!! 🙏🏾
Love the composition and lighting of your first shot

THANK YOU so much for making this video!!!
Your photography tips are so helpful, you have no idea. Please keep making them! :D
Aww I am so happy you love the video - thank you for the feedback :)
Great job, Nisha! Your tutorial on cameras, food photography & styling was excellent. For a moment I thought I was in a photography class taught by a university professor. You were able to explain with ease all the secrets of food photography & lighting. Your video also reminded me of food photography show on food network years ago by Ina Garten. Keep on going.
What a sweet comment! I still have a lot to learn myself so I’m not quite a professor but I appreciate it :) and I’ll take any comparison to Ina Garten!
Ahhh, thank you for this in-depth tutorial, Nisha! It was very informative and I learned so much! I love how you showed your gear and the different camera settings too. And I seriously don't know how I've managed without a remote for this long! What a brilliant little gadget!
You are so very welcome! And I am so happy you learned so much, not that you need it - your photography is stunning, Joscelyn! I love the little remote!
Thank you so much. I always loved food photography. Recently I bought a dslr and now I know how to do it 🙏
So happy to hear this video helped teach you how to use your new camera!
Id love to see more videos like this!
Thank you so much! Your tricks are very helpful! I just started in Food Photography, to be honest in Photography general... You are very authentic, I love your photos! And the outfit in your video :)
How sweet are you! I’m so thrilled to hear that you have found these tips helpful as you start your photography journey!
This was such a helpful video, please do more of them! for example how you edit and process your photos ))

Hi Lucy! So kind of you to say! Thank you, dear!
I love your channel, your voice is so soothing. I just started food photography and I wanted to thank you for sharing all these tips! Lots of love.
Thanks again Nisha! You are truly a beautiful person in side out. You shared so much info in details which has helped me so much as I am in the making of my food blog (mostly everyday family meal including Vegetarian Dishes which my family eat every Monday) and a newbie to food photography.
Hi Nina! What a wonderful compliment. I am so touched by your words and even happier that this video has helped you as you start your food blog and experiment with food photography. Big hugs to you!
This is so interesting! I loved the behind the scenes view of your beautiful photos and picked up on some great tips for taking photos myself too! Thank you for creating this video! ☺️
So happy to hear you learned something new from the video! Thank you so much for the support, Reshma 😚
Thank you very much! The overhead shorts are awesome! I looking forward more videos :)
Thank you, dear! I'm so happy you enjoyed the video. I appreciate it!
These are so helpful, I need to really up my food styling game!😂 I use a Nikon 5100 and still learning so much. Thanks for the great tips!
I use Nikon too! Nikon 5300. I've been using a very high f stop on aperture priority which makes the shutter speed slower. Maybe I need to try going down below f16.
Thank you for an awesome tutorial on how to improve food photography shots....I will have to take a closer look at my settings on the camera and look into possibly purchasing a larger tripod for those overhead shots (as you say without breaking my back).
Catching up on your videos while sick in bed today. Love all your tips Nisha! You're styling is beautiful!
Aww Jess! You are so sweet. That makes me so happy to hear. I really appreciate the support 😘

You're awesome, amazing photographer. Thank you for the awesome vid!
This was so so amazing!! That last shot is beautiful and i seriously need to get a remote. Thank you for all the amazing tips and inspo, it's really fun (and geeky) to compare settings too :) P.S. where do you get your boards and backdrops?
Aww I’m so pleased to hear you enjoyed it! A remote makes my job so much easier! I love to geek out on that kind of stuff too! My boards are from eclectic lab designs - i love them :)
Hey Nisha! I just found your channel & I am loving it! Which styles of boards have you bought from Eclectic Labs? Just wondering the names of your favorite ones. Thank you!
Hi there! Thanks so much for your kind comment! The dark black one in the video is asphalt. And my favorite light one is called Pearl!
@rainbowplantlife have you ever made your own boards? I was thinking of using flooring samples or contact paper and was wondering if they would work as well. Also I would love to see a video on how you store your photography props and supplies 💕
If your camera/software support it, consider using tethering to your computer.
Amazing guide .. thanks
Thank you so much, Madhu!
