Thanks for watching!
Scourge: "I've mastered the ability of standing so incredibly still that I become invisible to the eye."
Lol 🤣
*slowly eats a chip*
Scourge: *thinking to himself "M-maybe if I stay quiet he won't notice I'm here and he won't slay me where I stand..."
Lord Proteus Yup.
Lord Proteus lol or maybe scourge was full of shit and after the "meeting" he was like who the hell was that guy? XD
+Kyle Lynch read the book
XD jizz ironically between the time i first left the comment and between now, i have.
if revan finds him scourge might be like please don't kill me
Revan: I was betrayed from within!
Player: I assume he paid for his treachery.
Scourge: (whistles, walks away, and puts his hood up)
Jedi Knight: "One of your allies stabed you in the back. I aasume they paid for that"
Scourge: "Umm, I dont think he did umm this is awkward."
Revan: I am dead and reborn, over and over. Jedi. Sith. many lifetimes.
How did Revan know that many have played KoTOR 1 as a sith and/or a jedi?
4th wall braker Revan XD
Well it's obvious! He used the force XD
I am dead and reborn, over and over. Jedi. Sith. Man. Woman. Many lifetimes.
😂
Because he is Revan. All hail our dread lord!
Revan was a Jedi first. Then he was a Sith, a Jedi, a Sith, and finally the man we see here: a Grey Jedi.
Revan: "He's right behind me isn't he?"
Scourge (remembering what Revan did to Darth Nyriss): "Shit, I'll just stand here, pretending to be a furniture and hope that he doesn't recognize me. I'm a table, just a table..."
"I hate you so much I'm going to completely ignore you, Scourge."
I like how Scourge was just like...yeah, whatevs...*shrugs*
"He wont see me if I don't move..."
Scourge = succeeding where Drax failed
I took Scourge with me through the Prelude to and through Shadow of Revan and no one said anything about how or why he was there. When we fought Revan and met his spirit..nothing. How disappointing. They really dropped the ball on that one.
When he says the Exile was his most trusted ally I can just see Bastila's force ghost saying, "Really now?" xD
I thinks she say would say that when he mentioned that the Exile was something more than an ally. I mean come on, if we go by the light path in the first KoTOR game and the hints in the second one, Bastila is essentially his wife.
@@whitewolf3051 Not essentially, literally. They have a son.
They touch on this in the Revan novel. IIRC, Meetra (the exile) is a bit jealous of Bastila. Or maybe it's the other way around.
The exile was basically his work wife.
@@GhostLink92 why
So in the Revan novel, Bastilla is at first jealous of Meetra because she knew him during his Mandalorian Wars days, and was a completely devoted follower of Revan but then realises that those thoughts are unwarranted..
Similarly once Revan has been freed from his imprisonment at the hands of a Dark Councilor by Scourge and Meetra, Meetra watches a holorecording of Bastila and Vaner (Revan/Bastila Son) and becomes a little jealous of Bastila, because unlike her, she and Revan don't share a "True Bond" like on of love ect, despite Meetra having no feelings as such for Revan @@larniieplayz6285
I knew I recognized that voice. KYLE KATARN IS THE REINCARNATION OF REVAN!
I would say you made my day, but you actually just made my whole life XD
WOOT KYLE KATARN!
1:50 He even said "Dark Forces"! XD
My two favorites EU characters ever
You just made the entire game so much cooler than it was
I really think showing Revans face and clearly hearing his voice was an enormous mistake.
He should have been wearing his mask, which masked his voice. To keep an air of mystery around him.
+Cellulanus You do know that one can see "Revan"'s face and hear his voice all the time in KotOR, right? And after Revan got a caninical description in the book, i don't really see why not...
That said, Revan is SWTOR was pretty bad. I wish they would have left him out of this and instead just made KotOR 3.
+Michael Berl The point was because his universal face is that mask since Revan is a man made character.
***** As far as I'm concerned the new stuff is the stuff that isn't canon.
What's your point besides? Revans entire existed is non-canon if you go by that standard.
+Alli Agreed about Revan being a woman, it just feels right. If they were to make Revan canon, I say let Revan's identity be a mystery, and make no canon-set gender of the character. That's how it was supposed to be in the beginning.
I agree they kinda spoiled it a little... but he has always looked like a dude to me (mask and armor or not). now his mask should have been on him BUTTT they couldn't do that cause on Dromund Kaas the story mission is you give his mask to a Revanite (though they could just say its a fake tbh)
if they actually met eachother again Revan would probably cut him down for killing Meetra
He probably would, but if you recall what Traya once said about the Exile "If she is a Jedi, she will forgive. And if she is not, she will not care." The same could be said about Revan in this situation........just saying.........but he probably would attack Scourge for killing one of his friends
but also remember revan is beyond jedi and sith he is neither yet he is both and in-between so imnot sure that could be said for him like the exile...but he probably would kill him for that and for killing por little T3M4 is you read the Revan book
1:50 HE'S BEHIND YOU! LITERALLY! HE'S RIGHT THERE!!! TURN AROUND!!!!!
Lmao 😂😂
Worse then Dora
I find it a little bit disheartening that Meetra was reduced to being nothing more than a Revan fangirl in this game. Must be BioWare taking one last swing at Obsidian for making the more compelling KOTOR game.
I don't know how much crossover there was between the development team of KOTOR and SWTOR, but I suspect not much. KOTOR was written/developed by a relatively small team working in partnership with LucasArts and the story was actually sent to George Lucas for approval, SWTOR was entirelly developed at Bioware Austin which was a whole new studio set up specifically for that game and I doubt most of the people there knew much about KOTOR/KOTORII or even cared.
Like all MMORPGs, it's generally best to just pretend SWTOR never happened. It's nothing but a cash grab with little concern for quality or consistency with the established canon.
@@BigUriel I’m not going to pretend that the game is great
@@larniieplayz6285 agreed we will instead pretend this whole revan ark never happened instead
@@1juanvasquez what we know about KOTOR 3 is canon to me
@@BigUriel I feel like SWTOR has really great original characters like Darth Malgus, Darth Marr, Satele Shan, etc. The real problem is the radical change of context the mmo has compared to KotOR. Needless to say, the game isn’t kind to Revan and especially not to the Exile. That alone makes it not worthy of being canon.
Why couldn't Bioware have gone with Kreia's explanation for why Revan was doing things? Why was he a slave of the Emperor during the Jedi Civil War? Kreia's explanation was MUCH more interesting than that. Made him much more cunning, much more subtle.
+Giannis k. pass the salt
Because they completely screwed the pooch with TOR. They fucked it all up; they retconned the KOTOR games into meaninglessness to shill the Emperor as a badass, they kicked Revan and the Exile to the curb in the favor of the Hero of Tython for no reason. They violated the KOTOR games.
TOR on its own merits is fun and at least mildly interesting from a story perspective *sometimes.* But every time they touch KOTOR, they defile it. They're like Bethesda with the Fallout series, simplifying it, cutting off the branches, defiling it, forcing unwanted canons upon us.
What was Kreias Explanation again ?
That Revan never truly "fell". She points out that when he returned from the Unknown Regions to conquer the Galaxy with Malak, he purposefully left all of the key infrastructure intact. His military campaign would have been far easier if he had simply destroyed it all. She theorized that he didn't want to destroy the Republic - he wanted to take control and ensure it was ready to repel the Emperor's invasion.
Well, honestly, I always felt KOTOR2's treatment of Revan spoiled the message of KOTOR.
Kreia's a shameless liar so take her word with a pound of salt. But assuming she is right--which, considering how many other people shill for Revan, is supported--his redemption arc throughout KOTOR is meaningless, because he is a perfect soul whose wisdom and foresight absolve him of any guilt for screwing over the galaxy with Malachor V, the Star Forge, and Darth Malak's fall.
Like, what motivation do I have to play LS in KOTOR when the sequel paints my past as better and an ultimately good? KOTOR2 started the trend that SWTOR ended.
“History remembers her as the Exile. To me, she was… more.”
The feels.
I too felt disappointment and frustration in that moment
I always pictured The Exile as a man. Someone who got shit done, a little brother to Revan who wasn't afraid to speak up whenever he got out of line
@@odd-eyes6363 Women are just as capable of doing that.
@@NoName-oo2td Only if the subject is fashion and boys...
@@illseeyaonthedarksideofthemoon lmfaoo thats the dumbest shit ive ever heard. i know a fuck ton of women who would get shit done more than your dusty cheeto finger ass. youre probably either 100 pounds or 300 pounds no in between
Love how he talks shit about scourge with him standing not five meters away and doesn't even notice or acknowledge him in any way.
I understand that by the level you achieve to unlock this flashpoint, you couldn't have Scourge with you. So they didn't bother to write anything for him. If you play it "by the book", you wouldn't realize this :)
Cem Dinçarslan I know that you won't have him at this level but it would have been interesting if they had inserted dialog that was only triggered if you do this later on when you have Scourge.
True that
"I'm ignoring you because you're an asshole. You'll get yours outside."
"And if he just so happens to be listening, *ahem*, he should know he's a piece of shit who's not worth my goddamn time."
I feel so bad for Revan. The crew of the Ebon Hawk and his beloved Bastila are gone.
Hey meetra too. All her allies helped form the jedi order anew and yet nobody seems to remember them or her at all. At least Revan and Bastila are remembered by the Jedi. Meetra and her force sensitive allies literally saved the jedi order and they haven't even got a bit of recognition (at least I haven't seen it)
I feel so bad for Revan, having to experience the Exile and himself being defiled by SWTOR
I also feel bad for him since bioware wasted his character's potential.
If recent events and reviews have taught me anything, it's that Star Wars fans are big babies who can't handle unhappy endings.
@@CyberController- Ugh, shuffle off your pedestal you condescending twat. Fans are okay with unhappy endings; fans are not okay with lousy, poorly written, unearned endings
revan looks ike Keanu Reeves
I agree and IF Disney as much as the idea pains me did make a live action movie with Revan than at least get Keanu Reeves as the actor for him.
If he ever gets a pet... don't mess with said pet. Under no circumstances.
Saheb Aneja no, KEANU Reeves is Revan
Elyseon They better not touch the Gizka on the Ebon Hawk lol
No. He doesn’t
Revan: He still lives by the same dark forces I do, serving as the Emperor's executioner - his undying wrath.
Meanwhile...
Scourge: I'M RIGHT HERE!!!!
"Huh? Did you hear that? Anyways, let me keep roasting this one 'friend' I had..."
Jedi: One of your allies stabbed you in the back? I assume they paid for that.
*Scourge walks away slowly. Meetra turns around and sees him.*
Meetra: You bitch.
Revan: I lost everyone ... betrayed from within...
Scourge: SHIT SHIT SHIT!!
What a pathetic end to two fantastic characters.
This is not end of Revan yet.
@@darthportus No but it is of the exile, arguably one the most interesting characters in Star Wars lore. Yet they couldn't capitalize on it like Obsidian did.
@@baaLsecundus Man BioWare grew money hungry. I don't care what people say, my ending is Meetra Surik/Jedi Exile, Scourge and Revan killing The Emperor. This is ridiculous ending to two great characters.
Just look what they did to T3 the Emperor blew his ass to pieces. Meetra got stabbed in the back, Literally.
😢😢 bouhouhou i cry
why did they give the exile such a bad death
Probably because Kotor 2 was made by people who are actually better at making RPGs
Nina Azara ...you realize Meetra Surik was killed in the novel "Revan" and Bioware had nothing to do with it right?
@@swannie5930 You do know who wrote that novel right?
It's the Worf Effect. In order to establish the threat of a big bad, they are shown as effortlessly dispatching characters already established as powerful. tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheWorfEffect
@@baaLsecundus Drew Karpshyn, writer of Star Wars The Old Republic: Revan.
''to me she was more''
me:arn't you married to Bastila
both ligth and dark both bastila and exile XD
In the novel is describes the bastila revan meetra love Triangle. Revan and meetra are the closest friends can get I guess that's what you would call family lol
Meetra was like a sister to him.
To be fair, being remembered as Exile is the bottom of the barrel so basically remembering her name is "more".
Maybe they banged during the Mandolorian wars?
Damn, Revan really became a chatterbox since KOTOR 1.
+Linkforlife199 well honestly reven has always talked now he just has a voice actor
For people complaining about no conversation between Lord Scourge and Revan.. Logic people, Logic. The Prison break of Revan Takes place before Lord Scourge was ever in your party. So if you decide to go back to do old FP's before you reached Lord Scourge as a Companion you would not get any reaction of him. Period!
Its the same with all companions. You will constantly get something whether its a comment or just companion approval from the first companion since you received that one before you could do any FP's. Any other companion you received at a certain point only will add something to an FP that happens at that time or in the near future. Nothing from what happened before.
.....When did Winnie the Poo become a Jedi Master?
RenegadeElite101 Since Disney bought Star Wars?
+General Jimmies no, they teamed up for merchandise. Then Lucas left Disney and teamed up with bad robot.
Bahahaha
Right?? lol
Revan:"Betrayed from within..."
*Scourge in the background:"............awkward..."
the best thing is that the kotor 2 music hits as he gets asked about the exile
trolol someone betrayed you? I assume he paid for that...
Revan: yea and he's right there
lolz
His punishment was to live for an eternity in pain :)
They did meet and work together, much like JK and Scourge now. I know that this mission was available before Scourge joins JK crew but it still is disappointing. Was it really so hard to make him say something? Anything? Even one line would make things so much better. Shame on you BioWare…
Scourge: I've mastered the art of standing so perfectly still I become invisible to the naked eye.
3:53 kotor 2 song kick in and I nearly teared up.
Swtor isn't a continuation of Kotor for me. I perfer to see it as what could have happened if my Revan and Exile fucked up. I mean really Revan, betrayed by a 'friend' a second time?
In the book, scourge betrays revan due to a vision he had shortly before dueling the emperor that showed another person other than revan (swtor Jedi knight) striking the killing blow on vitiate.
I was hoping it would be for me, but I think the mmo formula is hamstringing it, and the writing isnt as interesting.
To this day I'm angry we got swtor instead of Kotor 3.
legion999
I can understand the frustration. I wanted to see what would happen a bit into the future with the Exile's companions and what remained of Revan's group. They never freaking revealed what the eff happened to Jolee Bindo and Juhani.
@@alphatyrant8677 lol killing blow my ass till 3 expansions later
@@alphatyrant8677 So they fucked up one of the most interesting two characters in Star Wars lore just to make MMO JEDI KNIGHT strong? XDDDD
uuhhh.. Question... How can the exile be 'one with the force' when the whole point was that she was split from it, not apart of its fate or binding?
By the time when she finally, and completely destroyed Malachor V at the end of KotOR 2, she had also finally come to terms with her personal issues. Particularly very much this, and also the complete destruction of Malachor V closed off the wound in the force that was both Malachor V, and herself. Ultimately, she came to terms with her choices, and was relatively at peace, the necessary requirement for becoming a force ghost. It can be assumed that she remained this way, until getting stabbed in the back, since she obviously was capable of being a force ghost.
So let me get this straight, your saying BioWare, the people who made Kotor 1&2 don’t know how the story turns out
@@Jackbws Obsidian made Kotor 2, not BioWare.
This is after KoToR 2 as Meetra has already gained her force powers back and came back from nearly being killed by the council who were too arrogant in that they wanted her removed from the force instead of being a wound in the force itself.
I never liked the idea that they canonized too much detail about Revan or the Exile. It's cool to think each player could create their own part of the Star Wars Galaxy and choose if Revan is male or female and make them look the way they want. It shouldn't be set in stone.
well if he wasn't a male then satele shan would't exist
Gabiblack Not necessarily. SWTOR is about 200 years after KotOR. That being said, Bastila could have married somebody else. Either way, her parentage didn’t add a great deal to the lore.
@@jsthlrd Stop being salty. They needed to canonize stuff to bring him back. I don't understand why are people so pissed about this my Revan from Kotor also looked different then this but i am not bitching here.
@@darthportus You're overreacting. I'm not pissed, nor am I "bitching". I simply said it was cooler to keep some details vague so a player can fill in the blanks themselves. I've still played through SWTOR stories and enjoyed them. Do you work for EA or something? Makes no sense why you're getting so heated over a simply expressed opinion.
Revan is male in canon, but doesn't Matter anyways since the games aren't canon anymore
is meetra the exile?
+Stan Robinsom Yes
+FluffyNinjaLlama thankd :) just finished reading revan so I looked up scourge and revan
Yes the Jedi Exile is Meetra Surik
Stan Robinsom yes
Yes. In kotor2 you play meetra...the jedi exile
i want a game based in the mandilorian wars maybe a series with the jedi civil war . a nice real time rpg you can play 10 times and still find new things, new conversations and such
I think Dark Horse did a prequel comic that showed Revan and Malak fighting the Mandalorians.
really ? cause i havent been able to find anything what so ever on the mando wars which sucks because its practically my favorite part of starwars
would not be much of an RPG. But more of just an action game or RTS.
honestly a blend of everything would probably be best
This is what happens when You bring your companions into a Flashpoint. You get their powers and their battle cries, but not their affection, nor their involvement in the actual conversations with NPCs of the Flashpoints, aside from the momentary affection from certain options when speaking with the people who hand the Flashpoints out, Like Oteg and Malgus
Becouse you get Lord Scourge on 40+
And Maelstorm Prison for 32-38 lvl. So it's not canon to have a Scourge here/
Still it's poor game development.
Revan and Meetra where very close, he gave her control of half his fleet in the mandalorian wars. She was also his closest friend. She and Revan where very close, they also had a force bond.
Not to mention, Meetra was the only one who actually left Revan to go back to the Order on Coruscant and face judgment from the council which caused her to be known as the Exile.
"Woah no way! I know someone who betrayed you and the exile and served as the emperor's immortal executioner! What a coincidence!"
If only we had a Kotor 3 so Revan and Bastila could reunite and The Exile and Visas, Handmaiden, Atton, Disciple, or even Mira could reunite (Depending on how you play) Wish Disney and Bioware didn't fuck the true Kotor series over
SWTOR came out before Disney.
the reason for this is your sapose to have a team of 4 with you during the flashpoint so cannonically scourge wouldnt be there
Ah so that's what SWTOR sounds like with music turned on.... EXTREMELY LOUD!
He even spoke of Scourge right in front of him. >.
They turned Revan into an edgy hispter...
I he already had a character
Yes?
Master oteg makes its sound every day to find and save heros and fight fleets and then go home
Oteg probably knew Revan before he was captured. Remember members of Oteg's race have exceptionally long lifespans.
MrShocktrupr Yep I wonder what the look like when there are young or what they class as young
MrShocktrupr You probably didn't play Kotor 1. Oteg knew Revan when he was still a padawan, before the mandalorian wars, even trained him(like so many others), and then after Revan gets his mind wipe by the Jedi and Kotor 1 starts, Oteg trains Revan again.
artur6912
Actually, that was master Vandar, not Oteg.
Anthony Harwood sorry my mistake
Even the Senate bows before The Mighty Revan and his knowledge.
I like how Scourge is in the background like some creepy stalker ^_^
Ugh....I don't even recognize this Revan.
WHERES MULLET HEAD REVAN, HE WAS THE BEST REVAN, NOT THIS SCAR MASKED REVAN!!!!
Vectavist224 I like mullet Revan that's my cannon but isn't that the same Revan look the mullet Revan with a few difference
1:44 "Who betrayed you?" *Scourge slowly scoots away from view*
The way they deal with Revan in "Shadow of Revan" expansion is just so lame. The story behind Revan in original SWTOR was much MUCH better it looked so promising. I hoped he will play a biger role in the story but his storyline ended strange and bad.
+Sioolol just no. no revan anymore i'm sick of it. he should have never been made THAT big.
+cannabiscorpsefan Revan was going to be in clone wars.
He can be as big as he wants really.
No one noooo. i'm fine with the character but in swtor he's nearly treated like a god. revan here revan there. it's all pure fanservice and I'm glad it ended with swtor-sor once and for all. it's time for new characters to shine. revan had his go.
***** I am complaining not about his death, but about the story behind it. WTF, force ghosts, fucking AWENGERS TEAM COMBINE in the end... seriously wtf. This looked like Bioware just wanted to kill Revan as fast and as cheap as they can. Revan deserved better end, with better story. (like the way Bioware done with shepard in Citadel DLC) Not this nonsence bullshit that he got.
Sioolol they killed the exile as fast and cheap as they could, they didn't do it with revan certainly. they kept this guy alive for 300 fucking years! is that cheap and fast for you? how long should his story have gone on? forever? fuck that!
I have always wondered what happened when Revan met Satele Shan. What was their first meeting like?
Perhaps we will find out soon given recent events on Rakata Prime :P
revan would take her out for diner on bestine cut of her hand and say: i am your father . the only right way to say it in the star wars universe
X-Ray The red Reaper and then she'd be like: shouldn't u sa like ur grand grand grand * etc* father?.
X-Ray The red Reaper and he would have said : well yeha but that doesn't sound catchy .
Imagine the reaction of Theron in the whole Rishi/Yavin meeting.
Showing Reven and the Exile was a storytelling blunder on many levels. This version of Reven is just sad to look upon. Zero fucks for the choices we all made as those characters in prior games are being given here.
It's been three hundred years. It makes sense that you can't see the results of your choices.
My two favorite characters: Kyle Katarn and Revan in one character (Kyle’s voice actor voicing Revan)
The point of no return now. SWKOTOR is officially broken
+Rekt Hardly. You just gain Scourge later than this flashpoint.
***** Hoth is after this storyline. This story is lvl 31-37 and Hoth is lvl 37-41.
you gain scourge on the emperors fortress don't you? whenever he frees you and your companions
The missed opportunity to give us at least a short dialogue between them two is unforgivable. It was a thing that everyone looked forward to after learning of both Revan and Scourge being in the game.
The reason why there is no dialogue for Scourge in this scene is, first, this scene is not part of the Jedi Knight class story, and second, this is a flashpoint that was originally meant to be done with a full group (meaning that you could not have any companions here to begin with).
This was just Terrible, and really put the nail in the coffin of Bioware for me. Its just as bad as them dropping the ball with Hawke in Dragon Age Inquisition, after establishing how personal Hawke feels about the bad guy, then even if Hawke lives they just disappear and nothing happens.
Bioware, Lord and King of major missed Opportunities. Yet despite completely shatting over all Revan and especially the Exile (presumably because Obsidian Software made her), they wont bring the Warden back.
+Lena K At this point, I'm glad. They'll probably find a way to ruin them too.
+Lena K You guys really need to learn this about companies that have different branches in different places. This was by BioWare Austin, the normal BioWare games that have been recognized and the best of them are from Montreal. If you notice a huge change or mistake it's most of the time because it's dished out to a different division or that division "helps" out.
thank the gods. I don't want them touching my warden.
@@GabrielleduVent if your Warden was willing to take the final blow than how are they still alive to write that letter also depending on how you look at it they might not be looking for the cure for themselves but the other Wardens so that they dont have to go through the Calling at the end and can live a normal life.
@@GabrielleduVent depends on how you roleplay your Warden my mage for example was selfish and did things to his benefit so him looking for a cure to length his life is totally something he would do revolt or not.
Jeff Bennett is one lucky/talented son of a bitch. He voices Kyle Katarn AND Darth Revan, two of the most badass Star Wars Jedi ever.
I believe nothing happens, because I think this flashpoint should be played before you meet Lord Scourge canonically. but i am not sure.
Man, this is such a disappointing explanation for the greater context of Revan and the Exile's stories that Kotor 2 so deftly and critically expanded on. Kreia and Revan's companions tell the Exile that he left the Republic after Kotor 1, in its most dire time of need, to find the Emperor - to fight the real war, the war that was cloaked by the Mandalorian Wars and Jedi Civil War. But nope, Revan was just doing his bidding the whole time.
Making Revan simply a servant of the Emperor since Kotor 1 removes any cunning and agency Revan was given in Kotor 2 -- and thus removes the agency of the player, because I guess whatever actions we chose in Kotor 1 were simply orchestrated by the Emperor.
And why did they make the Exile a Jedi? The Exile - and by extension the player - was a means for Kotor 2's writers to question the dogmatic philosophies of the Jedi and the Sith. But here Sutrik has simply become a cookie-cutter, wisdomatic, obi-wan esc. Jedi force ghost. What a slap in the face for longtime Kotor players and to the writers of both games.
Yeah, KOTOR I and II, along with SWTOR are all fun, but the story in SWTOR is so garbage. No characters stay dead, there was so many retcons (multiple Star Forges, the Emperor keeps coming back, etc.) I’m pretty sure once they kill the Emperor AGAIN, they will revive him once more. And then there is the fact in-universe the Republic and Empire AGAIN go to war right after KOTET. I guess no one realized that going to war in the beginning was the reason all of these threats spawned. And then there is the fact that in KOTOR II Kreia says Revan never actually “fell”, but made a sacrifice. He became “Sith” to prepare for a war against the True Sith. It was only once his mind was wiped did the mask slip and the true Revan emerge. But now He’s just a puppet, cause Emperor so powerful, he could manipulate what Kreia said was “the heart of the Force”. If I could retcon one thing, it would be that. If the Emperor was truly that powerful, make it so that Revan’s “fall” was just something the Emperor engraved in his mind because not only would Revan not want to admit he made a sacrifice like that, but that would be even more fear-mongering for the Emperor. Either way SWTOR is fun, the story is outright garbage.
Like many, I'm an early fan of the Kotor on xbox-PC, especially the 1. The story of Revan, his relationship with Bastila, his endearing friends, the story very well put together, etc. But then the MMO The Old Republic is a betrayal against. Instead of giving Revan a nice ending, we pull the rope, and EA finds a bogus excuse to find it 300 years later. And go it back, die, but not totally, then again because it was "split in two".
Frankly, the best thing for Revan would have been to kill the Emperor with the exile, and then return to the galaxy. Revan would have ended his life with Bastila and their child (ren), the exile would have been reintegrated into the Jedi order, and all the old ones (Jolee Bindo, Vao Mission, Carth, etc.), all those surviving friends, would have ended in the joy of being together to celebrate the victory of the Light, the Life!
Unfortunately, just as Disney has messed up the end of episode VI by sabotaging the Han / Leia wedding, sabotaging the future of Jedi Luke, and the story itself (yes Anakin must restore balance in the Force and now we find ourselves with new sith and a "pseudo-empire" in episode VII, basically Anakin was useless), so EA sabotaged the end of the Kotor and messed up the happy ending Revan would have had with Bastila, the end of the exile etc ... to lay us, in addition to a pitiful story of a Revan quoted above, the story of an emperor who never dies ... and so Here again, like Anakin, Revan was useless, since the other ball on the dark side changes body as shirt. All this for a question of money, as always. Disney wants money and we sabotage the Star Wars saga of George Lucas.
EA wants money with his MMO and ransacked the saga of Revan. In the end, it's sad to say, but it would have been better to stop everything after Kotor 1, simply. Or at the worst finish the trilogy Kotor with a third game so, on PC and console, like the first two, where we would order Revan and the exile in the wilds, killing the emperor, and returning to the end in the galaxy towards theirs. There we would have an end worthy of a Lucas, worthy of Star Wars.
It would be nice but unfortunately we are in no position to erase this. As much as I want to. I'm a hardcore Kotor fan as well the 300 year thing yeah not a fan.
If you actually read the book of Revan you'd realise that the he went after the Emperor again and was held captured for 300 years 😂😂😂and this was all before Disney took over. Just shows how much you know about star wars.
Not a fan of what the book and subsequent MMO did to Revan and The Exile. A proper KOTOR 3 was/is needed to properly conclude their stories. Not that that is likely to happen, if Disney does decide to stick their meddling hands in the matter the result would be even worse than what the book/MMO did...
That what happen in my Canon. Revan return to Bastila and Meetra return to Atton and her friends. I ship AttonXMeetra sorry.
@Emperor Vitiate And is that a problem? Liking Revan and Meetra. There is no problem liking characters but like Luke, Revan and Meetra had to be ruin.
Kyle Katarn as Revan? Why is that freaking perfect?
Lord Scourge: maybe if i just stand here and don't talk they won't notice me
I might be wrong, but I'm pretty darn sure that Revan was NOT wearing that when he fought the Emperor....
Wearing what, his robes or his mask? Because he was wearing both the day he and Meetra confronted the Emperor.
Zuriel the robes and the mask also that robes Revan wearing is not the same as the once he had before KOTOR 1 and the mask is different look for KOTOR 1 mask and Swtor revans mask
Revan should kep the silent protagonist role. WHAT AN AWFUL LINES bioware put to Revan in this storyline. "In my hands will save the galaxy" MY ASS. This is no cannon and never happened.
Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it's not cannon. Get over it.
CaliberStone Jay and the other fans have a right to refuse this, RPG Main characters with so many multiple choices should never become NPCs, Each of our Revan's were different, same as out Commander Shepherds, We play them our own way and there's no way for an NPC to match each of our main characters. KOTOR2 had it best when they refrenced him by the rumors and legends of him, how some said he was good and some said he was evil and some said he was a she but nobody can get their facts right. That's the way Revan should of been left, either that or do what ME2 did and ask you questions about him so they can decide what kind of guy YOUR revan was
Regardless wether you guys choose differently in kotor 1 and 2 there will always be a canon version that existed even before swtor and bioware.Revan was canonically a male while the exile was female.
+Nazmi Ahmad completely right man the butthurt fan boys should stop using all those buckets for those tears
Jay Jorrensen I don't even mind the lines, but his voice is so weird
Well at this point in the timeline you haven't actually met Scourge yet, so there you go...
Revan's voice...it's the same voice actor of Kyle Katarn in Jedi Knight 2!
Not sure why your comment is marked as spam considering it's both relevant and true.

I don't know, I guess some other people posted something similar so mine was considered redundant.
Maybe he's near-sighted. *shrug* Hey, it happens when you get older, and according to the novel, he was in his forties when the emperor imprisoned him.
I guess it is fair to make the exile female since Revan was male in cannon.
The exile is female in canon too.
Meetra Surik.
KOTOR 2 is a RPG,so we have a choice to make the Exile male
King Derner Cousland But in cannon the Exile is a female.
Max McClintock It not longer "canon"
King Derner Cousland I meant canon to the KOTOR storyline, not canon towards the movies storyline.
Hah! Once again I nail a voice actor down! I knew Revan's voice actor was the same as Kyle Katarn's, he has a distinct sound from time to time :D
"I wish I had you at my side when we faced the Emperor"
Meetra: Am I a joke to you?
So, Revan is Kyle Katarn? We're never going to talk about this, are we....
It's possible that Morgan and Kyle Katarn are descendents of Revan. His KOTOR 1 name might have been "Katarn" lol.
@@richardched6085 they're talking about voice actors lol. I think it would be really quite dumb to make him a descendant anyways. Not every powerful force user needs to have a super force sensitive ancestor
Is it just me, or am I the only one who noticed how many people misspell the word emperor?

Lord Scourge is just like, "...Yeah... about that."
That moment when you realize that both Raven and the Exile both cheated on their significant others with each other
is the exile meetra?(shown in the story of revan book)
Burtonsonline Yes, it's her.
FluffyNinjaLlama ok thx
+Burtonsonline For the case this wasn't clear for you: Metra/the Exile is also the portagonist of KotoR 2
+J Giesen (NerdWana) ok thanks
Personally I dissown The Old Republic from a lore perspective. They raped who Revan was for me, and he had nothing "more" with Meetra Surik (The Exile) I mean he went on to marry Bastila Shan and have a child with her for gods sake! It is utterly retarded. Also, by giving him a face and a voice, they violate all immersion I once had.
1. he aready had a face before this
2. I'm pretty sure that when he said 'more', he meant a very close friend
3.Even if he does mean it as romantic, its not that retarded that he could love two women
Well said Epicemissary
"its not that retarded that he could love two women"
... oh give me a fucking break, that is such a pathetic excuse to use.
Rick Raven Sometimes, you get it right. :)
he had nothing with meetra. read the book SWTOR: Revan. He didn't "love two women". His relationship with Meetra was that of a Master/Apprentice. He loved Bastila to the end.
I came to rewarch this and it's even funnier when they speak about Scourge like he's not here and we see him in the background.

Lord scourge: please don't notice me
Oteg sounds like Winnie the Pooh...
1:22-1:29 Revan sounds almost exactly like Kyle Katarn.
same voice actor
i liked the voice actor
After listening to the Revan audio novel, its crazy that Revan and Scourge say not a single word to eachother
Kreia: I would let the galaxy burn, to preserve you. You are beautiful to me exile
Let it be remembered that The Emperor messed up Regan so bad, it retroactively altered his sex, alignment, face, and gave him a voice. That's right, Vitae's just THAT powerful, he can force his own canon things like some nightmarish fanfic writer.
Canonically, Revan is male, and the "Jedi Exile", Meetra Surik, is female.

This was a disappointing hole in the writing, but I understand it from a certain point of view. This plotline is normally encountered before you make Scourge a companion. As such the writers didn't add any companion dialogue for Scourge. They really should have thought about replay and encounters in a different sequence.
“To me, she was…..more..”
:’)
I can easily imagine Meetra Surik also being alive, by draining life from her enemies. After all, she was the wound in the Force.
Not by this time. The destruction of Malachor V was the final part for her to stop being the wound in the force.
Damn, that was the Exile??
Yeah...
Remember when Revan just stood there like a badass, no talking, only cross armed?
Scourge toughts: i'm not here, i'm invisible, please don't notice me, im not here...
Scourge: If i don't move, he can't see me.
As far as I'm concerned, it never happened. Kotor and KotorSL are canon to me, but this cash Grab? Nope. My Revan was a guy, my exile was a guy, you can't make things canon when you've built the first two games around the premise of your choices affecting everything
well revan was a guy and the exile was a female thats cannon their have bean books and comics that established the lore you can't put every decision in the game with every combination of actions in a game or established lore that's impossible
I don't mind canon them but what I do mind is how they end the characters!
They reduced Meetra to little more than a plot device. Her exploits little more than a footnote in history.
They didn't do her justice, alas this is what was chosen.
"Revan is free then gives scourge a dirty look and ignores, scourge then just shruggs"
Cool how kotor 1 and 2 protagonist are together
