Thank you for posting this video. Very straight forward and very concise. I have a set of 272's I want to install and this will make it that much easier.
Awesome video fella, I’ve just gone Shimless buckets too. Very close now for fire up for me shooting for 1000whp…. For now ….. then shooting for 1400whp later this year. You need to do more 2JZ videos haha I don’t have enough to watch lol 😆
That'll be a rowdy machine at 1400whp! 🤘 I've got more coming. The assembly video and some others will be dropping sooner rather than later. It's a lot easier to make content more consistently now that the parts are here. Lol
About to have to do this again.. because I’m converting to vvti head with my 7675. I’m going to dlc coat them. Where did you purchase your shimless buckets?
I picked them up from Elmhurst Toyota. Normally I’d go through McGeorge out in VA but they didn’t have the all the PN I needed. Where are you getting the DLC done?
it’s good too use two feeler gauges that will square things a little more one gauge is 70% of the gap, and the really thin one too reach your desired thickness if you watch some Jap builders they do it this way. pretty sure the Nissan manual says that using two is the better way
I was watching a head games video and they were grinding the tip of the valve to set the clearance. I’m assuming so they could use the same size buckets?
You can absolutely do that too. I figured most people would be doing this with the motor still in the car in which case you wouldn’t be able to cut valve stems. I actually ended up pulling the #1 intake valve after filming this and having a machine shop cut it down to get the desired clearance. I don’t have access to a tool that would give me straight cuts on the back of the value so I opted for the measure and order method. 🍻
BTW you can sand some of the nose too get thing’s perfect. The hardness layer is way more than a few thou
you sir taught me exactly what I needed to know'
Glad I could help! 🍻👍

Can we get that excel sheet lol??? Very handy
I might be able to figure out a way to make it public. Not sure how I'd be able to lock out certain fields though. 🤔
@@2JZAddict Could import it into a google sheet I know you can lock fields in sheets.

On the lift?? There’s a MKIV Supra on top and an R33 GTR on the bottom.
