I agree Sherri! I live in NYC and months ago they were fixing my entire bathroom so my door was open so the construction people can come in and out. Some crazy homeless lady went inside my apartment and thank God I have dogs that started barking because they knew she was not welcomed so my sister opened her door and grabbed a broom and kicked her out. After that we told them to don’t let people in the front gate and close my door

I have lived in NYC for over 10 years and I really never hear the typical NY accent because everyone I work with and around with are from other places in the USA or the world. I guess it depends where you live and work
