NOTICE
I don't own guild wars, its cool pictures or awesome soundtracks the only thing that's mine is the thrown together video and my opinion that I think the soundtrack kicks ass.
Incredible soundtrack, and painfully nostalgic. Man. Simpler times for all of us I'm sure.
God, I remember when I first arrived in Kryta, way back in 2005. After all the time trudging through the ruins and the mountains, I finally felt at ease. A promised land, free and untouched, a new home. The music in this game is phenomenal.
The emotions this brings back. Sad I will never be able to fully relive them.

Goodwin Funny how I relive them everyday but others cry around on here making others think the game is completely dead. Enough with the false claims... this game is still alive.

GW1 was soooo good. So much potential and opportunities for GW2, but they just blew it all off.
Guild Wars 1 was the best game Ive ever played in my entire life and this soundtrack reminds me of that time...
more commonly known as that song that was looping in the background for hours on end when sitting in temple of the ages spamming "Perma-sin A/E looking for UWSC with cons!"
this song reminds me of all the time I spent farming ettins for their runes near beetledun in kryta. Thumps up if you did this in gw back in the day!

Me too man, just the guild guys everybody tryna help each other out and giving advice. It was such a balanced game with the skill system and how everybody got their own build and such. So amazing I remember making the worst choices just because I was a noob and I was a kid. You gave me the feels man I just want to have that feeling agian go back in time and be there with the guys on guild wars
@@Xivinux I remember if you move your menus around during a trade with "Deposit Gold to Xunlai" menu hovering over the "Modify trade" button, you could click 3 times in a row to turn 1,000,000 gold to 1 and get free ectos.
This song reminds me of my cute little ranger Dorothy Wayneright fighting in Random Arenas and going all the way up to 20 consecutive wins. I was so proud of her; and I miss her so much! :)
Just sifted through all 78 tracks of the GW2 soundtrack looking for this song. Turns out it's in the GW1 ost instead. Oh well! Glad I found it!

i cannot tell you how strong a wave of nostalgia there is flowing over me.
A different time. A different world. But most of all, it was us who truly were different. Nothing will ever bring that childhood innocence and sheer sense of wonder back after it's gone. Just enjoy those memories and be happy it happened. And if you feel that your eyes are tearing up, so be it :)

I love the sound track by itself,but playing the game with this invokes bad memories of getting hurt a lot. It's been years since I played but this still makes a shiver go down my spine.
It's a great soundtrack and a brilliant game. Even after all this time, I can't wait for Guild Wars 2.
Holy shit I was looking for this for so long in gw2's soundtracks, couldn't find it anywhere. Never knew they used music from the first game (never played it)
Just started playing Guild wars again. Primarily EotN. So many memories of the first character I ever made. So sad that barely anyone plays in the GW1 regions. Most of the people I see are in EotN regions.

i had the best time ever playing guildwars 3-4 years ago.
the music is truely memorable, the graphics are pretty and the gameplay is so unique - fantastic.

Even after years and years, after GW is closed down eventually perhaps, we will always have the wonderful music, that's one thing I'll cherish amongst the memories too.
This has to be one of the greatest soundtracks for any game ever made, its just amazing. Jeremy is a fucking amazing composer and I have yet to be disappointed by anything that he has composed. This was the first song of Guild wars I actually listened/payed attention to, was PvPing on my ranger and would always /dance to this : ). Thanks for uploading this and bringing back the great memories from this fantastic game.

This is the soundtrack that was made for Guild wars (1), not GW2, where there is a warp hub to go to the main cities, you have to get there on your own before fast travel can be used :)

oh man this brings back memories... the first time i entered the presearing. i want it back. hope the same feeling gives me GW2.
i read that GW2 is unknown when its going to be released, and at the earliest its going to be the fall of 2011, or spring 2012... so i still got time to enjoy GW awesome scenery and music ^ ^
i still have pictures ... well, screenshots ... of my Dervish Explorer (Dervish were kinda lame, i had to find him a purpose..) posing with Xandra on a ridge above Maguma Jungle and of me and a few coop friends posing in front of the Mines of the Southern Shiverpeaks, in Deldrimor war camp ... This world ... it was something else. Never found anything like it ever again. So much beauty, so much places to explore, each with their unique wildlife ... Being there back then, it was ... fantastic. And each extension made it more grandiose, complex and intertwined ... Funny how we might be the first generation of human who have nostalgia for a Virtual world ...

2022, I am loading up Guild Wars tomorrow night and forgetting about all the trauma.
I love how the music just sets the mood to the whole game.
This brings back memories that i forgot like the time in kryta when you have to defend that temple from the undead and being chased by ettins with their huge clubs.
Jeremy Soule made Guildwars, all those memorys were perfected by his music.

We BONDED with GW1.... and cannot betray our wife for GW2... im playing GW2 now to the end for the story...but yea...dissapointed. Only positive: Story and graphics, the art and regions are still extremely beautifull.

It's really too bad more people won't get to play this game. Playing Prophecies for the first time was amazing, even though it was pretty tough with just henchmen all the time. I already miss it.
This is the only reason why I love Guild Wars. I became addicted to this game because of its soundtrack. I turned off the volume and I started to hate this game. I came back and I turned the volume back on and started loving it again. There is no other explanation.
