- A hilarious quote from "A Tale Of Two Mice" (1945) where Babbit claims himself as a jackass if the toy plane tactic doesn't work on Catstello, which unfortunately if you saw this cartoon back in the late 90s on The WB (as part of Bugs N' Daffy), this scene was cut due to profanity. Good thing this scene was left uncut on Cartoon Network and Boomerang.

I have been looking for this short for years!!! So many people thought I was making it up. In one of the censored versions, he says "I'll be a Jack", and the mouse just does the "hee haw" at the end.
That censored version of this cartoon you're talking about only comes from a Kids WB! airing of "Bugs N Daffy", as Cartoon Network, Boomerang, TBS and TNT back in the day aired this scene uncensored.
In addition to those censorship, the Kids WB! version also leaves out the title sequences as well.

Dam I didn't know their was another one of this that had Babbit. The only one I had ever scene was the one where him and Catstello where trying to get Tweety, but in that one they were cats.
Actually, there are three cartoons featuring Babbit and Catstello, four if counting one where the two only make a brief cameo.
Babbit and Catstello first appeared in Bob Clampett's "A Tale of Two Kitties" (1942) as cats attempting to catch and eat Tweety, who also made his debut in the same cartoon.
Babbit and Catstello would later reappear as mice attempting to raid for cheese while avoiding a cat that wants to eat them in both Frank Tashlin's "A Tale of Two Mice" (1945) and Robert McKimson's "The Mouse-Merized Cat" (1946).
In addition, both Babbit and Catstello would make a brief cameo in Robert McKimson's "Hollywood Canine Canteen" (1946) as dogs.

To be fair the target audience at the time wasn't kids when it was originally released. Besides in this case it refers to someone being stubborn or a fool, like a donkey. The problem is because how the word was eventually misused it became a swear word.

Sure, these two characters get species-swapped quite a lot, but I'm pretty sure their "canon" appearance is as cats, because let's face it, "Cat" is in Catstello's name, and not to mention, Bob Clampett is their original creator and he originally envisioned them as cats when they debuted in "A Tale Of Two Kitties".
