@@racketman2u hahaha...of course I would never play with that...my R-22 was the bomb....it's just an iconic racquet...I wish brands like rosignol, Kneissl, snauwaert, Davis, Slazenger, Estuza, Mizuno etc will come back and get rid of Babolat...I'm sick of them. I know is a tough market but it will be nice. Right now pro staff v13 is THE racquet..in my taste

Great info tennis spin,,take an old frame, a standard 27 inch classic for 5 or 10 bucks and breath alot of life back into it by Installing the XTP Xtended Tennis Product butt cap,,just remove the orginal factory butt cap of ANY RACKET and stretch it half an inch to XL length 27.5,more power ,more spin, more reach, its a new Frankenstein version of itself, many many pros playing with XL racquets, no need to purchase a new just buy a good standard 27 and STRETCH it with Xtended Tennis Product, XTP..thx.j

This was a great idea for a video.
Im so jealous, I live in Tonga and its so hard to get any racquets let alone good racquets here. Basically any tennis gear is almost impossible to come by, desperate for some overgrips lol
Wish I could walk into a store and just pick up some gear like that, my students would gladly use those.

I have and still play with the Prince Graphite Pro 90. mind you I took about a 20+ year hiatus from tennis and got back in three years ago. Looking for a new racquet to replace mine. I actually got mine restrung last summer after all that time and no strings were broken when i returned to play.

Try out a Wilson Ultra Tour 97 V.2. It's the prior generation before the current Wilson Ultra Pro V.3. It's pretty no-frills as modern rackets go, and is definitely a throwback feel to the classic frames. I played with a Prince Original Graphite 90 (I think it was actually a 93) for many years and I love my Ultra Tours. You can get them relatively inexpensively on eBay too since they are a generation old. Same situation with Prince Phantom Pro's if you want to stick with Prince.

Always love to check out thrift stores for rackets. You never know when you'll stumble across an original Pro Staff amongst all the $20 aluminum junk. Fun times treasure hunting!
Just be sure to check closely for cracks. Sometimes there's a reason you find too-good-to-be-true rackets at the thrift store.

I just picker up a Prince Thunderbolt mid-plus Longbody 800 power and a Wilson Hyper Carbon Hammer 4.3 that were both stuffed into the Wilson carry cover at a large local thrift store. Everything was filthy and caked with dust and some sticky stuff that I couldn't ID but, it felt like tape residue. The grips were shot on both but the rackets were in nearly perfect condition under the dirt and both had been re-strung. After I cleaned them I found that the paint on both looked almost new. The shop owner didn't care anything about them, he said they had been sitting around for a while and he just wanted to turn them into money. So, I asked what did he want for them? He gave me the stock reply, "what will you give me?" As a wise crack (I thought) I said $5 for all of it; he said "pay me". I couldn't get the money out of my pocket fast enough. I just need to regrip them. You got to love rural country thrift stores.
