It's true, if you drive it fast then a lot of people on the road will look at you crazy and might not wanna come close to you. Also it's a rule that you don't wanna get too close to random drivers or in packs because "Everyone is a fucking idiot behind a wheel." It's shocking to me how many people simply can't look around while driving and have 0 situational awareness at all. How are we the top species is just pure luck.
Here in Brazil this is one of the most beloved cars among car owners. I have a 3rd gen (2017 automatic) and it behaves like the first day I got it from the dealership. Extremely reliable, practical and with great fuel economy. Fantastic car.
@@shadtography The car is gorgeous, my whole family drives a Honda Jazz. But here they are very rare and quite expensive. For example, my honda jazz 2013 costs 10k$☠️ ☠️ ☠️ 😅
Had an 2010 and 2020 Fit. wreaked both of them but the 2010 made it to 300k before issues and both averaged over 40 MPG. 100% recommend Fit for best daily driver.
thanks so much for all the info and the great pov. i am looking to buy a gen 2 sport with a 5MT. I don't know how to drive manual yet but I am practicing on my racing sim at home, although I know it won't be a very good translation to irl. I am looking to save around 8k and have that be my budget. Much love
Keep on practicing on that race sim! I did that and watched a ton of UA-cam videos religiously before purchasing my first manual car in 2013. Was certainly a bit rough driving manual in real life at first but you'll pick it up quickly (like riding a bicycle).
I bought a 2010 Fit sport a little over a year ago. My only complaint is that it's underpowered. I need to drive up a steep incline to work here in NM. It struggles going up steep inclines, forget passing other vehicles. A manual would probably have been better. Otherwise, it's really fun.
Does it do good in the winter conditions and in mountains? Just got a honda fit (live in NH) but concerned about how it drives in the winter / up mountains.
@@nikolashernandez7128 yes, it's not an SUV but with winter tires, most cars will do just fine (as long as snow accumlatins aren't significant and if roads are plowed)
I had a 2010 Honda Insight, the ROOF was so low on my head, I could feel every bump, the wheels would drift from the indents in the road, the AC would blow HOT because the AC compressor shuts off during idle. I'm hoping the FIT is much better, the roof looks taller.
Honestly i like cars that aren't high off the ground and arent bulky? If that makes sense and everyone says i seem like the minivan type and i want a small normal car i feel this is a good in between. Also I'm the homemaker and would be on the move doing grocery shopping and running normal errands this would look so cute and get me from point A to B easy.
@grichard1585 Did you get the Fit? I’m probably buying a 2013 Ras Blue with 5,700 miles on it. She’s a 80 something old lady who only drove it to the library and Publix. It needs tires, battery and brakes. I offered 9k, and waiting to see if she accepts. Would love to hear if you’ve had luck.
@@shadtography No excuse. get some decent performance tires, Rims, sport rotors/break pads, Intake, exhaust and a decent shift knob and then throw it into corners!
that aint no beater 😫 treat it well and it'll last forever, theres no such thing as a beater fr that term was invented by snobby rich people who do hit and runs
Drive it like a go kart and no one will pick on you on the road! 😂
🤣😭
well said 😂😂

I also have S2000 as my track car and Accord as my daily. I am in the market for Fit manual as a replacement so this video was really helpful!
Im looking for 1 now too. I have been looking for a manual as well. Good luck!
Great score. Excellent daily.
I have a really beat up 8th gen civic si and I would really like to get a honda fit and swap the drivetrain into it.
Hello from Russia!. I have the same car on a CVT and it's really beautiful
Nice man! Welcome to the channel and thank you for watching. Hope nothing but great memories with the car for a long time!

I had a 2015 and loved it! Great gas mileage and fun fwd system. Ended up trading it for a 2018 WRX but I surprisingly still miss it!

Absolutely love the ge8 fit. I have two one auto and manual.
Hybrid racing shifter is amazing.
alli express has the item straight from manufacture for 100$ less. learned about it after i bought the hybrid racing shifter 😂
@@Chiefhao is it the exact same one? or just a clone
I love honda, thanks for the video!

in the US is indeed underrated cars, but in Asia its Number one top choice for ricers lol
😂
I want to buy one this year hopefully I’m able to get the 2013 for reason I like how simple it is I don’t need no screens.
Do it, such a blast!
I have the cd player phone holder. It’s perfect.
That car is so nice, I'll buy it but the 1rd gen because here in Brazil the cars are very expensive.

@@paulvest3157 is there a low gear option that comes with the automatic that you can use for hills? That should help

Dangerous fact!
whats best for you.. a civic EX 2014 with 124xxx miles aut or a fit 2009 65xxx miles manual transm?
thanks
Everyone is different. I would take the fit for more space.
I'm looking at a 2012 Fit cvt with...wait for it...12,000 miles. The bad news is the dealership wants $14,000. I think that;s about $3000 too high.
Wow, 12000 miles is very low! Price is decent but def can get one more a lot cheaper with higher miles!
