- The Gray Army is up to their usual mischief, and this time, the Greens are ready--but when a third faction threatens to tip the balance of power, Sarge, Private, and their squad will have to think fast to prevent the operation from devolving into a farce of epic proportions.

Very nice what program was your special effects done from?
Premiere and After Effects CS6. Adobe only supports CC now, but I've heard good things about Hitfilm Express, which is free with add-on packs for like $25 or so. Most professional grade editing programs are capable of what's shown here.
I’m late, but where did you get those gray soldiers or what company are they from? I can’t find them anywhere.
They're clones of Tim Mee Vietnam soldiers made in China. I got them way back in the day from a dollar store, but you might be able to pick up a few batches here:

Thanks! I’ve been looking for these guys for months. I just ordered some from that website.
Also, I did some research and discovered that these are actually clones of a company that was originally owned my Toys R Us called “true heros” that customized the TimMee soldiers into different stances. Even if they still say “Tim Mee” clones, that’s what those poses are from.
@@RFroracer I've seen them sold under many names, but I'm not sure which are the "original" brand name. I got mine at Dollar Tree like twenty years ago, packaged like this:

They are much cleaner and better made than a lot I've seen recently at dollar stores.
The Tim Mee soldiers are actually available again, and very good quality, though they're kind of expensive. They're available in gray though, which is a pretty rare color, so i shelled out for a bag.
How did you make the sounds
Mostly downloaded them online from sound effects websites like sounddogs or pond5. Sometimes I found free packs for video game mods which have lots of unique and interesting sounds, but be careful about what you download--sometimes it's malware or pop up ads.
Triune Films (Film Riot on UA-cam) sells several very nice packages for gun sound effects, and every few months they have sales, so check them out. They also have episodes on how to find sound effects. Corridor Digital and Rocketjump also have video tutorials on sound design which I learned a huge amount from.

Actually yes. That and masking out the person holding the strings (there's an almost imperceptible ripple where the mask is because I didn't line it up totally perfect :/).

Folded cardboard taped together and spray painted. One had a straw for a cannon.

I may cover that in a future video, but if you want to learn how I recommend looking for free papercraft patterns and using that to start.

How did you make the soldiers move?
How did you do the effects?🤔
Most of it was stock video composited over the raw footage. For tutorials on how to do that check out Film Riot, RocketJump, and Corridor Digital. If you don't have the money for some heavy duty software like Premiere or After Effects try Hitfilm Express 4--it's free, and light years better than something like Windows Movie Maker or iMovie.
