I haven't regretted my purchase of the X4, I upgraded from the X2, and also had the previous version to the X2. I've used the X4 more this summer than all the previous models put together. The improvements to the apps, phone and desktop, and the AI editing features have helped me pump more video edits than ever before. Plus I use action mode a lot, for easy edits and B-roll in other vids. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the X4, I haven't had the overheating on lens guard issues that you experienced, but I'm now be aware of them.
Yes, it’s a lot of work - but you do get some cool shots at times. 360 cams takes a science to learn how to use it. I haven’t reached that science yet 😂
I got the premium lens guard for my x2 previously on a extended tripod, it fall when strong wind blew, popped open the lens guard and scratch the lens and I stopped using 360 cam after. Now happy with ace pro
I've never bought a 360 camera and prices in Colombia makes me consider it a lot. What camera would you advice? The X3 or the X4? Does it worth the extra cash?
Great insight on this camera.... I am a huge fan of 360 and with the exception of overheating I have experienced similar lens guard issues, and thus, althought risky, I prefer to not use them just baby the darn thing and use common sense and its application. Thanks Eddie!!
I just recenlty switched from GP to the DJI Action camera and i do not regret it. Get the DJI Action, the batterly life alone is worth it. I also had the X2 a while back ago, i rarely used it however, i picked up the X4 and really like it.
great video! 👍As you say, a 3D cam is not an action. I own the X3, and it is fantastic cam for every day standard videos. It has still some issues, for instance speech control needs to have a lot of improvement. Regarding low light capabilities of an action cam - most smart phone do a better job than each action cam. Lowlight capabilities of action cams are probably the most overhyped feature - also because most people have a smartphone always available.
Finalyyyy 1 honest review.. i watched lots of fake, paid reviews and this is the first honest one.. thanks for saving me lots of money
I never expected it would be the dude who smokes a cigar while riding his ebike who would give us an honest review.
😭

It is the best "X" style camera they have made.
As you say, there is a heavy workflow with 360 cameras. That said I do appreciate the technology. Excellent and informative video Eddie!

X4 all the way. The 8K video is so much sharper once you export to 4K or 1080p

Risky 😅
How did you get the X3 bundle from Costco for only $100?!
@@joelevinson1358 It was on clearance
I still have my X2 with me... rocking as it is . So give me 3 reasons why you are still hocked on with GoPro? Just curious.
I actually like the video quality and colors out of a GoPro. Especially from the 11 or 12. Handles shadows and highlights much better.

X2 is doo doo compared to X4...low quality blurry images

Well said
Eddie…..Ya I have been looking at a X4 just not sure how much I would actually use it. Good video!
It’s a cool gadget but I wouldn’t call it a tool
My X3 fell with that selfie stick also. No cage.
@@BrooklynJimmie it needs more weight at the bottom. They should of made this one differently.
@MrEddieNunez i guess they didn't want to make it to heavy to hold. Need a height limit i think for it's base size.
Is there no way to get rid of that fish eye look?
There is with the dewarp feature
Oh, mehn. I have found myself leaving it more and more at home when I go shooting.
Drone like footage is possible, I’ve seen all over UA-cam.
Dude.. This case is for HEATING camera (by covering radiators) to not drain battery so fast when you are skiing:) So...
hmmmmm
Haha cigar on a bike 😅
It’s not an easy task 😊
DUDE I HATE THAT FISH EYE LOOK ...ITS JUST NOT REAL
LOL
