    Very nice detailed video We were at this resort in February We enjoyed it enough to go back again in September We found the food to be very good and you are right about putting food down near the food trucks It will be gone in a second lol The room was very clean the bed was comfortable and the AC worked well which isnt always the case The beach is one of the best so if you are a beach person this is a good spot

      Glad to hear you enjoyed it there! I would definitely go back again as well. The beach is wonderful, and the food options I think are better than what you would get at other All inclusive for that price. I don't need the super fancy resorts, just good beach, good food, clean and good service.

    Are there many mosquitoes in the area?

      There are mosquitoes in the area, but I actually didn't get bitten while I was at the resort, so it was manageable, at least when I was there at the beginning of December.

    Do they have activities in English also by chance?

    • @chuytravels
      @chuytravels  15 днів тому

      Yes, they tend to do things in English and Spanish since most ppl there are bilingual and at some point they would also have some of the entertainers engage in French and Italian.

    Great video, this was super insightful and helpful. I have two questions. 1) If I am a privileged guest, do I have to make reservations every time in order to eat at Belovid? 2) Are the privilege suits scattered across the villas or in one specific villa (I noticed on the map one of the villas was white while the rest are colorful, hence curious as to why this is). Thanks!

      Hi! You do not need to make reservations to eat at Bloved and they're open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and yes, there are privilege buildings in different locations throughout. They've been pretty good at accommodating me with my request for a room. I've been to one of their other locations and both times they got me as close to the beach from what was available.

      @@chuytravels Is there ever a long wait time at beloved since there are no reservations, also would you consider the food there alot better than the buffet? Thanks for the response, this is very helpful

    • @chuytravels
      @chuytravels  3 місяці тому +1

      When we went, there were no Wait times. The inside is pretty small, but on the outside there's plenty of tables. The times we ate outside, we were the only ones out there, except for one time when there was a couple there.
      I found the buffet surprisingly good with lots of variety, but the food at Bloved is more upscale. Like something you'd find at a nice restaurant in the US or Canada. It was very fresh and tasty. It was nice to eat with the view of the beach, and having someone wait on you.
      If you go to the buffet during peak hours, you may have to wait in line for certain foods that are being prepared by the cooks.

    All the restaurents is inclued???

    • @chuytravels
      @chuytravels  Місяць тому

      Yes, all restaurants and snacks. The only restaurant not included is Bloved, unless you have the privileged package.

      The bloved not inclued? Is more expensive restaurant?

    • @chuytravels
      @chuytravels  Місяць тому

      Bloved is part of the privilege package. If you pay extra when you book your room with privilege package, you get discounts, you can use the some spa services, special area on beach, Bloved, room service and more. The only time you'll use money in the resort is for tips.
      Si pagas por una habitación privilege puedes ir a Bloved. Eso

    How would you compare the two Catalonias? Thanks for the great videos! We went to CGCM in May 2022 and loved it.

      I really liked both. The beach at playa Maroma is nicer in my opinion, since it didn't have as much debris on the sand, as costa mujeres.
      Although playa Maroma is older, it is well taken care of, and very clean so the grounds and rooms were both great in my opinion.
      Playa Maroma grounds are much smaller than Costa Mujeres. But I liked that since there's less walking from place to place (for food, pool, beach)
      Obviously the aesthetics are different from one to the other, so I did get a more beachy feel at Playa Maroma, but they're both equally great when it comes to quality of service, food, and cleanliness.
      If you don't mind a smaller resort then it's really great. You can't beat the food options that Catalonia resorts give you for the price.
      If you like the pool, then there's only one, so you can't get away to the quiet pool if the other is too loud or vice versa at Playa Maroma.
      I don't know if it was just my experience, but I went in the beginning of December 2022 to Costa Mujeres and beginning of December to Playa Maroma, yet playa Maroma seemed less crowded. The restaurants were pretty empty when we ate there and even Bloved was mostly empty every time we went (at Costa Mujeres we had to wait around a couple of times) also, Playa Maroma was very noticeably filled with mostly European guests and while speaking to staff, they said that's always the case.

      It's a Coatí! It's in the racoon family, so basically Mexican jungle racoons lol. They're super good climbers though.
