Thanks, a great breakdown, just wonder where the Bul fits into your top 7. I own one in 9mm, and I am impressed with its accuracy and build quality, Thanks
I have a Bul armory 9mm 1911 and will put the build with my Staccatos. It is so smooth. I bought a Kimber Rapide and sold it after first time shooting it, all Kimbers only come with 1 mag, sorry for at 1500.00 dollar gun. Will never buy a Kimber again. Like the Colt, and Dan Wesson.
9mm? Double-stack 2011 all the way is a far better format to take full advantage of a cartridge of the 9mm's size, with little to now penalty on size of the firearm or its ergonomics. In the past 2011s were significantly more expensive than a comparably-finished and spec'd 1911, but thanks to imports now double-stacks can be had for under $800. And given the price points of some of the 1911s on your list, even a domestic 2011 option like the Springfield Prodigy is a hi-cap equivalent to something like the DW Guardian. And a 2011 option for the spendy Wilson CQBs? Why, Staccato of course. Or Oracle Arms's 2311 which uses SIG P320 mags. And then there's the Stealth Arms Platypus and Alpha Foxtrot (Glock mags even!). So many higher-cap options that makes far more sense, whether for the range, competition or dealing with MULTIPLE threats.

in all reality you truly should carry a SUB-COMPACT for personal defense ... and one capable with a LOT more rounds than a 1911
I always hear people say this But to me , guns are like shoes They carry / wear what they think looks cool and is comfortable to carry.
@Lateralus1007 ... guns are NOT like shoes ... people are just stupid and naive

I say RBF 1911 in 9 mm (german produced 1911). I live in Switzerland that's why it's my next gun. Has an excellent reputation.

another commercial for high priced 1911s
Didn't know I was going to watch a SW commercial...
If it's not a 45 it's not A 1911 sorry.
