    This is a sequel to "How to Read Korean" (ua-cam.com/video/xlU35hbJvb0/v-deo.html), which was released back in 2019. You don't have to watch that video to understand this.

      I watched your 2019 video before I came across this. My brain is still frazzled. I don't know if it's because of your youth but the speed that you spoke left me with empty brain headache syndrome 😂😂😂 detailed: yes speedy: hell yeah, can I read korean: NOOOOOOO

    Assuming that everybody knows how to type with ten fingers instead of searching and picking at the keyboard with two is adorable of you. 😅

    When you were talking about how many words are actually used in everyday conversation, it reminded me that English speakers learn over 10,000 words in the first 18ish years of life, but only use about 150 to communicate.

    It’s obvious you’ve put a lot of research into this video and so much appreciated as I haven’t seen these explanations done to such an extent anywhere

    Man you should get much more recognition! After watching the vid I was surprised how little comments there were... I'm korean but i tumbled upon with the duolingo vid and ur explanations are phenomenal... I also got many korean questions living abroad so I know how difficult it can be to explain it when u don't actually understand and study how the language works...
    가려운곳을 시원하게 긁어주는 느낌이에요!! 재밌게 보고 갑니다 :))

      "다람쥐 헌 쳇바퀴에 타고파" seems to be the most famous Korean pangram I can find. (Means "The squirrel wants to ride on the old treadwheel.") It uses all 14 consonants in Korean but not all 10 vowels. There are other pangrams that use all 10 vowels and the double consonants.

    Something interesting is that the dot you mentioned at the end is still used in the language spoken on Jeju island (i say language not dialect because its mutually unintelligible with Korean dialects) and sounds something like "au"

    You speak sooooo fast i actually speak spanish and german and i can speak a Little bit english and understand a lot but youre tonfast to me lol... 😂😔 im learning korean since 5 days and i spend allready 10 hours in duolingo learning hangul. Now i can read and know all the hangul but im still learning how it reslly works. I dont understand why there are two ㄹ for example like this ➡️ 을라 ⬅️ when u only need to speak it once. U understand what i mean? Does Duolingo explain it anywhere? Or can someone explain it to me. ???

    • @cbotz3
      @cbotz3 Рік тому

      Did you figure it out? I've just assumed that you had to pronounce the ㄹ stronger.

    • @buzzy1010
      @buzzy1010 Рік тому +1

      을라 and 으라 is pretty different! 을라 is closer to eulra and 으라 is eura
      If u watch his how to read korean video he explains how the same consonant can be different depending on its placement and also how such words are pronounced differently (not sponsored lol)
      Im just a korean passing by enjoying how he explains it so well so should be accurate 👍

    ㅈㅇㄴㅌㅅㄷ is so much fun (코리안) i know it's actually 한국, 대한민국 and 남한 but what native English speaker who understands a foreign alphabet won't use the alphabet to create English pronounced words
