i don’t really understand the whole, Jaclyn signed contracts so no one can use her formula, but Morphe are allowed to change the formula without telling her? that doesn’t add up...
And she didn't even ask what are they changing or anything every person would ask why unless she knew
The thing that doesn't make sense to me is that the only unique thing in the fornula is the added oils, but those oils weren't in the original formula. So, what exactly was her custom formula?
Andrea Her original formula may have contained the exact same ingredients as the regular Morphe formula, but in slightly different amounts. Two formulas with identical ingredients can actually contain different *amounts* of each ingredient, even if they remain in the same order on the ingredients list. The order of ingredients is “most to least”, but that doesn’t tell you how much is “most”...so like, the first ingredient could be 60% of the product in one formula, but only 40% in another. Adjusting the amount of even one ingredient could change the product’s quality or appearance. I really don’t think she created a totally different formula like she claims, I think she just made some improvements to the generic formula...and then Morphe changed it again.
I just think that Jaclyn needs a new job!
Well that's how copyrighted things and the like work. Even if you only change a small thing, that thing really isn't yours anymore. So technically speaking, they didn't need permission to "change it" because what they really did was "make it into a different formula", off the records of course. It's still shady

Moral of the story is, Jaclyn doesn’t get a free pass on this one. No true CEO or businesswoman in their right mind would ever just allow someone to make changes without questioning it and investigating. At this point, she’s just being pathological.

RC I simply think that it doesn’t add up that she had a nice formula and a nice product well selling and decided to change the formula.. it doesn’t add up why would she do that? No reasons, however if the products are in any way to expensive Morphe could easily make a similar formula with cheaper products.

If you're going to buy anything from Jacklyn at this point no one wants to hear you complain about mistakes, broken, unsanitary, or messed up formulas. You should know better by now.
Im also tired of people claiming shes the victim and it's always Morphe's fault. If that's the case she should have learned by now not to affiliate with them anymore. They both make each other tons of money.

Totally agree, but many people bought the dodgy palette BEFORE all of her other scandals. There was no reason not to buy it back then and no way to know anything was amiss. I just assumed it had been overhyped and that was why I didn’t like it as much as other people did 🤷🏼♀️

I commented on the op. This could open them up to litigation due to advertising the pallet as vegan for a full year. I was a biiiig morphe supporter but I’ll no longer be purchasing from them and that truly sucks. But I can’t use products with carmine. The fact I almost bought it thinking it was vegan and now it’s out in the public it’s not anymore is a relief and a disappointment. I was so excited to buy the palettes but I can’t anymore because of it. Just very very shady to not mention to your customers that the formula went under a major change and the didn’t think it was necessary to tell the public. Just gross

chocanewt37 fillers don’t actually dissolve, they just spread out. It’s going to be funny in a decade or so after all these poor young girls have been stuffing their face full. To get definition back, they have to keep injecting, but after a while (which you can see with Jac and with NikkieT) the face is just humongous in size from it all building up.

The contract could have had an expiration on the formulation. Meaning that jacelyn may have signed that the formula was exclusive to her palette BUT it didn’t include a permanence to how long they would actually produce her formula.
It also is the fact that the copyright is only for that specific formula. It likely was a case where other people cant use the formula but morphie could change it at any time. A slight change in the ingredients (an ingredient appearing higher/lower on the list) can make it no longer under the copyright and there for other makeup brands can use the new formula but not the old one

Sooo how many other "vegan" products/brands have "changed and improved" formulas without announcing they were changing?
As someone with a carmine allergy, this is something companies pull all the time- they list stuff as vegan and add/leave in carmine. I thought I could trust bigger companies, but I’ve had enough reactions to eye products to know better now.
What happens after you found out, do the companies give you a refund?
I just don't get it.when now we are living in a time where there so many makeup brands why are people buying from brands that keep being shady.

I work at ulta beauty myself. And when looking at the new pallets being placed on the Morphe display I noticed an intense difference even just looking at it, and decided to swatch them at work just for fun it was highly disappointed in the results. I purchased two Jacqueline Hill pallet back in 2017 and I could instantly see the difference.

I saw the new palette at ULTA and even said something to one of the girls working th ere that it was different then the one I have.the colors were different and it felt different. I knew I wasn't crazy and I am so grateful to Jen for bring this up.

I really liked how positive Jen was in her livestream about the palette reformulation and how she was willing to give everyone involved the benefit of the doubt.

I'm so glad to know that morphe has switched to adding carmine to their products. My friends have all told me about how amazing it is, especially for a vegan formula and I was interested in purchasing due to its cheap price and my extreme allergies to carmine. No wonder why my eyes swelled and I had hives after my friend did my makeup recently... We were under the impression that the palette was vegan???
I will only purchase JSC products (not collabs!) from Morphe in store and even then I rarely do that I usually just pay the $10 to have it shipped by buying direct from JSC.
