Goldrush, a competitive 5v5 gamemode that I designed has been updated with several new features + a new map, courtesy of King Despacito! It is now in an incredibly polished state, if you want to check it out feel free to host it on a private server or join one of the existing servers with the Goldrush mod (search "Goldrush" in the server browser).

Stouty, I just want to say thank you for keeping this game alive. Mordhau is the first game I've sunk 1000 hours into and I hope to reach 2k.

SDK and a community map contest would really revitalize this game. Chivalry 1’s golden age didn’t start until all the modded content was underway IMO. Even with the uSDK Mordhau modders have created beautiful maps and modes. Modders are more than happy to fix Mordhau’s content problem if we let them.
Add more cavemen with mauls to the mix and we almost have a realistic depiction of what it would be like if this went official!
Much needed video, GoldRush should be in the Official Playlist with a shiny NEW tag next to it, had so much fun playing with it and Despa has done an amazing job on the maps,combat and everything, the community is reviving this game. Respect the Skyrim music.

More ideas for the ideas list...
Attacks should come in three types, wrist/light, elbow/middle, shoulder/heavy. You can change which attack you want to do by simple holding the lmb for different amounts of time. Wrist attacks are very fast Olympic fencing like jabs, they do very little damage but are hard to read. (You may remember that attacks do not stun so spam can very easily be countered by simple riposting) Middle attacks are pretty simple, they generate an actual swing but are slightly less telegraphed. Heavy attacks are like swings in mordhau (except hopefully without the baseball bat animations) Maybe animations could have slight rag dolls like in hellish quart, (great game) that get a little more physics based as you loose stamina.

every since i found out about feint to parry I cant stop seeing it literally everywhere. including this video
@Charlie C. its a bug / exploit that was carried over from chivalry. basically had something to do with spamming feint so it ignores the recovery window of a weapon after a wiff, so you can block / parry when normally you shouldn't be able to.
@@allaltitudeproductions454 Never heard of it being a bug. I don't understand how canceling an attack to parry instead would be a bug.

This game honestly NEEDS a new game mode, and I think it would have been an amazing idea to add something like this with the Eastern Invasion update. Shame.

I’m so glad people still play Mordhau and didn’t totally abandon it for chivalry 2. Chiv 2 is fun and all, don’t get me wrong, but it’s more casual to play imo and not as fun to watch because of its casual nature.
chiv 2 has a high skill ceiling but the gameplay isn't as clean as Mordhau and there's no private servers

mordhau needs to own up and embrace its competitiveness to succeed with the release of chiv 2. A CS go of medieval slashers, if you will

Yeah as someone with 3,500 hrs in CS, and around 500 in Mordhau... If this came out, I don't think i'd leave my room.

I wish mordhau was more popular but the game devs couldn’t care less about what the community wants and new players need to have a real amount of persistence and will to work with the big ass skill gap. I’m barely even 200 hours in but I just want some more people to play with in ranked because I’m usually met with the same people whether they be actual dogshit, afk, or a god.

Watching the first half of this video, I don't understand what this game mode is all about and therefore why it should be an official game mode. All I see is some version of TDM with you slaughtering the enemy.

Did you ever play conquest as well, also worked on by Despa? I remember I had a lot of fun in that as well, but it appears the mod has stopped working since patch 21. Anyway, I'm also trying to promote Goldrush by hosting a 240 tick server with it, but it appears that without it being official, people simply don't join.
So thanks for the marketing and keep it up.
yeah conquest is like a more interesting version of frontline but it plays pretty much like team deathmatch as well as having an annoying back capping meta. You van always look for goldrush players in my discord's goldrush channel but it might be difficult to get the full 10, hence why this mode really needs to be added into matchmaking

stouty, im really curious to hear what ur opinion is on the mordhau server moderators banning content creators from official servers such as LaraFTW for messing around with her friends. it’s been a huge issue, and even i have argued with an official moderator or two for being completely bigoted and taking his job way too seriously in a non-comp server. since you have much more influence on the devs and within the community more than anyone else, i just wanted to hear ur take on the whole thing if you knew what was going on.
