The correct history is Second Battle of El Alamein which is in Oct 1942 that the U.S. army first deploy in North Africa with the M4 Sherman tank. In 1941, the Sherman is still prototype phase known as T6 prototype. Later, the modified T6 was standardized as the M4, and production began in February 1942 which is impossible to exist or lease to the British during North Africa campaign 1941.
Doing some research, MG42's were produced and in service from 1942 (it's in the name, MG *42* ), and Tiger tanks also first deployed in 1942. It's awkward when DICE end up being the uneducated ones.
My Great Uncle fought the Nazis in North Africa, Sicily, and Italy. He was like Captain Julius Dusenburg. EA won’t put men like that in their game, because it’s 100% a true story.

The greatest historical innacuracy in this game is the Kasserine pass battle ... it mentions Algeria ...... Kasserine was in Tunisia and lastly you play that campaign seemingly as a French soldier ( Tirailleur Sénégalais ) which again makes very little sense as the French Army of Africa played almost no part in the Kasserine pass battle

One thing i must commend the creators of this game with, is how accurate their 'Human Factors' are... their battle scenes are very realistic, the ballistic effect on human bodies very accurate. The sound of incoming fire very genuine, the confusion of close quarter battle for both sides is very evident in the game. Well done.

I'll be honest, this hardly even feels like a WW2 game. They might as well have just labelled it alternate history and gone crazy with gameplay options. Also the whole war story format just seems so badly paced, both in Battlefield 1 and now in Battlefield V. I wish they'd simply do a cohesive campaign rather than these 1 hour long missions that don't tell a worthwhile story and have puddle-deep characterization. Give me a Call of Duty World At War style campaign where you play as different sides for longer than one mission, for god's sake. And that intro happens so rapidly that it's downright tonedeaf when it tries to hamfistedly make you feel emotion while playing knockoff "The Shire" music around 14:23 with faux poetic narration from Mark Strong. It literally feels like something that should be at the end of the game, that they threw into the first 15 minutes for some damn reason.

well the US Armed forces did at some point recruit men from prisons or going to prison, like "you either going to jail or get a free card out of jail, only thing is? you need to join the War son" I am not sure the UK or other nations did this. or if the Axis side did this either? not sure. but I am sure you didn t go from Hard Jailtime to war without training and know what to do.

Not defending the game by any means, but the Spitfire might have overshot the 109 because he was diving (therefore gaining speed) while the Messerschmidt had been slowing down to stay behind bombers. (The cutscene doesn't accurately portray this, though, because the game is trash.) EDIT: The British didn't make day raids, especially in 1943. Damn, this is even worse than I thought before.

Only 3 short war stories at launch. Game modes missing at launch (Rush, battle royale). Half the guns taken straight from bf1. Only 2 factions (Germans and British). Price: $60. This game is incomplete. Do not buy it until at least the rest of the content comes out. This is simply unacceptable.

Yup. Call of Duty WWII even had better voice talent than this and its campaign is even better than what BFV has. Even BF1's stories were more heart-wrenching and at the point you would shed a tear on the good guys that died and it gave a more heartful message in it's epilogue.

However, DICE Los Angeles were the main developer, and I think SJW Sweden DICE was small in the project. So if they brought back Medal of Honor it might be the brutal World War II we love since it would be American's. However Los Angeles is in Commiefornia, so they might be SJW's too. You know what, reboot Medal of Honor again with either a British or American studio, in WWII glory, then make MoH: Vietnam like two years later, and everyone's happy.

The Germans had Panzer I, II and III s in the early years of the North African Campain, it wasn't until 1942 when the Germans got Tigers but by then, it didn't matter much for the Axis, as the USA had joined the War in Europe. they received Panzer IV and Tigers in 1942, not in 1941 or 1940 as I am aware of. typical EA/DICE cant make "historical and fun" games, how hard can it be?
Very hard bf v have 5 tank types, and each of them needed to be animated drawn and rendered separately. It could took months and a whole lot of other animators and computer technicians, who themselves must work on human characters movement too

well the US Armed forces did at some point recruit men from prisons or going to prison, like "you either going to jail or get a free card out of jail, only thing is? you need to join the War son" I am not sure the UK or other nations did this. or if the Axis side did this either? not sure. but I am sure you didn t go from Hard Jailtime to war without training and know what to do.
@@NordicTG exactly. To my knowledge britain was in real bad situation back in 1940 and recruiting criminals wouldnt be far off at all, especially for really dangerous missions. But throwing them out there without any training is not plausible in any ways. Sure i could be wrong but this is my knowledge

Not defending the game by any means, but the Spitfire might have overshot the 109 because he was diving (therefore gaining speed) while the Messerschmidt had been slowing down to stay behind bombers. (The cutscene doesn't accurately portray this, though, because the game is trash.)

Yup. Call of Duty WWII even had better voice talent than this and its campaign is even better than what BFV has. Even BF1's stories were more heart-wrenching and at the point you would shed a tear on the good guys that died and it gave a more heartful message in it's epilogue.

Tino Benfante The era of good WWII games is over, and has been for 10 years. The only two war shooters right now are CoD and BF, and I doubt CoD is going to make another one so soon after WWII, and well this is Battlefield's attempt.
I'd say I wish they'd bring back Medal of Honor but DICE made the last few before the series died out. However, DICE Los Angeles were the main developer, and I think SJW Sweden DICE was small in the project. So if they brought back Medal of Honor it might be the brutal World War II we love since it would be American's. However Los Angeles is in Commiefornia, so they might be SJW's too.
You know what, reboot Medal of Honor again with either a British or American studio, in WWII glory, then make MoH: Vietnam like two years later, and everyone's happy.

Im a woman and love the Battlefield games, and very cool in Battlefield 5 there is a part you play as a woman. And for people in the comments, Battlefield never was historically accurate and didn't mean to be. Having said that, women have fought in wars.

The Germans had Panzer I, II and III s in the early years of the North African Campain, it wasn't until 1942 when the Germans got Tigers but by then, it didn't matter much for the Axis, as the USA had joined the War in Europe. they received Panzer IV and Tigers in 1942, not in 1941 or 1940 as I am aware of. typical EA/DICE cant make "historical and fun" games, how hard can it be?
Very hard bf v have 5 tank types, and each of them needed to be animated drawn and rendered separately. It could took months and a whole lot of other animators and computer technicians, who themselves must work on human characters movement too
