How did two experienced HOI players playing two majors shit the bed against the weakest Poland that could possibly exist CONTROLLED BY THE AI
"fall of berlin" and "they are about to encircle you at *LUXEMBOURG* " were not things i thought i would hear with 2 majors, germany and austria-hungary, fighting a 1/3rd sized AI historical poland.
I think the polish AI now uses the markets to just fill their big-ish army at the start of the game. I can't honestly think of the AI winning without that.

This mechanic has been in Equestria at War for about four years now, nice to see Paradox get on board with the idea of sharing/competing over parts of a regional focus tree
River Federation stays winning (our leader is a Celestia wannabe)
And they made it easier to implement in mods as well
There is a difference tho,
In the normal version, you see who pick the focus
In EAW, you don't unless you check evry federation states focus tree
It's also been in Kaiserreich since forever for, ironically, the Scandinavians.

4:05 can't believe the pony mod feature made it into the game, same for the buying and selling equipment coming from the Fallout mod, genius play from the HOI dev team by going the Imperial Federation route and integrating the dominions

Also MD for the EU but it depends on whether you unify Europe under the current tag or just boost the benefits of membership and change everyone’s flags which isn’t necessary irl but mechanically speaking if you go decentralized the other countries obviously keep the benefits of their own focus trees especially Italy and France assuming one of the two is federalizing the EU. Like maybe if it was sectors where the big countries with focus trees absorb the generic ones and they all share tech, stockpiles and templates.

I suspect what might be happening is that Poland really suffers from equipment shortages, so I think them having the ability to buy the necessary equipment to fill their initial supply gaps is making their starting army much more powerful than it was previously

Nations buying equipment in peacetime, then when at war, accept lend-lease
In their rules the US can't immediately do lend lease, I think it's either 40 or if the US is in the allies.

Unironically, I think paradox took the idea for the shared focus tree for the Nordic countries from Equestria At War, the River Federation in that mod has the same kind of mechanic.
