Hey, Monkeyfamily! What do you think of these chunky-style figures from Funko? Do you think that the form factor suits these characters? Thanks for watching; if you enjoyed the video please drop some thumbs-up, and perhaps consider sharing it with other horror fans or toy collectors! Have a tremendous week everybody! 👍🐵
Wow, that's one hell of a grummpy octopus! 😂 I have to agree, the Pinhead figure is probably the best as I think its the most 'screen acute' of the bunch.
@@Retrotoyguysi indeed. They haven't really changed his clothing style, except that he's not wearing a dress. His head sculpt is very cool. Thanks for watching, dude! 🙏🐵
@@AllThings80s Thanks man, yeah they do look pretty good for what they are. The construction isn't quite on a par with MOTU, but it gets the job done. As there are only 5 figures in the horror collection, it's quite achievable. The hardest figures to find are Jason Voorhees and Pinhead. The rest are everywhere. Thanks for watching dude! 🙏🐵
Nice random banana and a Octopus infestation. Even greater video. These are pretty cool for Funko. They should do more instead of those evil pop things.
@@reading_MOVIES You missed the giant wasp? Tsk. Savage World Thundercats figures coming to the channel soon! Thanks for watching, dude! Have a great week ahead! 👍🐵
@ReynoldsReviews Thanks man, yeah they are cool. I like that there's only five in the series, but I think a Candyman would've been cool as well. Wait until you see the Thundercats ones; they are very nice! Coming to the channel soon! Cheers for watching dude 🙏🙏👍🐵
Very nicely done Monkeyboy. This was a good wind down from last week's episode! Maybe it's just me, but that Myers mask looks a lot like the one he wore in Halloween The Curse Of Michael Myers. I admit that this is another line of figures that I would be willing to purchase whenever I am successful enough to have some spendable money. At this moment however my pockets have more lint than cash 😔 Anyway, enjoy your week and I'll catch you on the next episode! 🐒👍
@@alexjames7670 Thanks Alex! I thought that these figures would be a nice way to ease out of the Spooky Season! I'm looking forward to featuring the Savage World Thundercats figures, because they are faithful to the cartoon in terms of their appearance; probably more so than the original LJN figures. That will be fun to do! Thanks for your support of the channels dude, I appreciate your interest and encouragement! 🙏🐵
I really like these. Very unusual and not keeping to the standard form. Everything is perfect, including the spelling errors. They should have kept them in. Excellent. Pinhead was cool. But I do like the mask of Captain Kirk. All kinds of wrong. I love it!
Yeah, I was pretty impressed with this line. The first one I saw was the Freddy, and I thought it was a bootleg until I saw the Funko logo. Really happy to have the full set because they display very well on the card. Wasn't able to afford all 8 of the carded Thundercats figures, but got them loose and complete for a slightly less frightening price. Looking forward to having a closer look on the channel quite soon! Thanks for watching, dude! Have a good week man! 👍🐵
@@MonkeyboysToys ThunderCats has been confirmed as coming to the MOTU Origins range soon. It would be cool to have a standard Lion-o to go alongside He-Man and company. ThunderCats always felt like a sister show to Masters of the Universe to me.
@GreyHulk2156 That sounds interesting, although aside from the extra articulation, I'm not sure they can improve much of the Savage World sculpts. We'll see I guess! Cheers dude! 👍🐵
That MOTU-style Pinhead figure looks like he has nails in his head instead of pins! I keep thinking Leatherface is Ash from Army Of Darkness everytime you show that MOTU styled figure! lol Excellent video Monkeyboy! :)
Hi Chimpin 'chimp.. 2 more figures to complete the series. They look a bit like funky cartoon versions of Jason and Hellraser, or shall I say funko ;-) . Funny that licensed figures have these spelling mistakes on the packages. I would prefer to have the ones with the spelling mistakes 😆 Have a great week sir!
@@sva3897 Cheers Seth! Yeah it's a nice little line. It would've been good if they had made a Candyman, I think. I was very impressed with how the figures look, and I can't wait to feature the Thundercats figures because they look sooooo cool. I have them loose, so that will make for a good video at some point soon 👍👍 Thanks for watching dude! 🙏🐵
I do like all your soft friends. No offense but they seem more interesting than those Funko figures. I guess that MOTU body style doesn't really do it for me. I do enjoy looking at toys even if they aren't my jam. I do like super-jacked Pinhead. Glad he found time to get to the gym and you know he ain't afraid of needles to give him that boost in his weight lifting. Thanks for sharing. I hope you have a great week.
@andrewandrew4568 Thanks Andrew! I'm pleased that someone appreciates the soft friends! The MOTU style figures certainly aren't for everybody, but I do think the style works well with some characters. I really like the Thundercats ones and am looking forward to examining them more closely on the channel soon. Thanks for your support, even if not everything is your cup of tea! 🙏🙏 Have a splendid week, dude! 👍🐵
Awesome figures Monkeyboy. I find it strange that Skeletor doesn't pop in to see these, is he a bit intimidating? Word of the episode has to be 'janky' or is it 'jankie?' Its a shame that we can't get these figures in a Star Wars line, oh wait that's POTF2! 🤣
@dezt5108 Haha yeah I dare these figures to mess with POTF2 farmboy Luke! 😅 Oh, darn. I think I missed a trick by not asking Skeletor to have a look. That might've been fun. Doh. If I remember, I will give him a shout when I look at the Savage World Thundercats figures. Thanks for watching, dude 🙏 I know a lot of my stuff probably isn't your preference, but I really appreciate the support sir. Enjoy the rest of your week my friend 👍👍🐵
@MonkeyboysToys no worries at all, I always enjoy seeing what other people collect. Even if it's not what I'm in to, I can appreciate it's worth. And I'll even look out for stuff, or at least recognize it, at toy fairs etc.
These terrifying entities seem quite tame next the horrors of the last few weeks. Out of the ones shown, I like the hideous Leatherface the most. He has something of the medieval about him which I think suits the MOTU aesthetic more than the others. I've never seen Hellraiser, so I wondered who'd win in a fight between 5 of the Pin head creatures and 5 top tier Jedi Knights - Yoda, Mace Windu etc? I don't know why I want to know this, but it's been bugging me for some time and I don't want to watch the movies as they look like they might put me off eating food - beans on toast for example. I hope you are well, Monkeyboy. A bountiful bonfire night to you 👍
@stephengray8374 Thanks Stephen, Happy Nov 5th to you too! Never seen Hellraiser? My word. The first 3 films are worth a look (first one definitely) but they are quite disturbing I suppose. The concept is brilliant. Pleasure and pain, indistinguishable from one another. I think you're missing out, but you know yourself better than I know you, so I take no responsibility for any psychological trauma you may experience if you watch Hellraiser (it's not that bad by today's standards). It's not by accident that it's one of the best horror movies of its time. Thanks for watching dude; have a wiggly giggly week! 👍🐵
Yeah, believe it or not, I've never seen any of the Nightmare on Elm Street or Friday the 13th films either. While I like horror in general, I've always been a bit weird when it comes to gory films. I only watched The Thing for the first time about five years ago. I did like that though, it was quite thought provoking. I once saw the edited version of Texas Chainsaw Massacre without realising it was the edited version. I quite liked that too, but apparently the bits that were cut out are pretty nasty! There are many films I need to catch up with though to be honest. The last one I saw at the cinema was Glass (the sequel to Unbreakable), which has to be at least five years ago! All the best to you 🎆🔥
@stephengray8374 Holy moly dude, you need to see A Nightmare on Elm Street!! It's not particularly gory. I mean there are a couple of scenes with a lot of blood, but they are so over the top it's silly. Such a good film though. Again, great concept. It is an essential watch dude. I guarantee you it's not as bad as you are fearing. 👍👍 The Friday 13th films are just daft slashers really. Not essential viewing compared to Elm Street. If you've seen The Thing you've got no worries man. Get some Elm Street in ya. Thank me later 👍
