Great in-detail review of the Longtail. We picked up the same model a few days ago and I agree it's a beautiful bike with many cleverly thought-out little features. I've found it rides very naturally and is stable even up above 50kmh on a descent. We live in a city with a lot of very steep hills and when the motor is in Cargo model it makes light work of even 20% inclines. You covered everything so well but one other thing to mention is that you can also fit a frame lock around the rear wheel. That's a great addition. The only thing I don't like is that it comes in such a limited selection of colours; blueish white or greenish grey for the derailleur model.

Yes, correct, the frame lock option is great, but it’s on the dealers side to install it and care for the locks. It would be more convenient, if Cube delivers it with the frame lock as standard and with the same lock as for the battery and the rack in the middle.
@@sburge1989 I used the AXA Imenso X Large, which fits neatly around the large mudguard and tyres.
Cube online support told me that The ACID frame lock LATCH 6078 #93354 is compatible with the Longtail Hybrid. It will be available in October 2024

Did you find any workaround for the kickstand problem?
No, not really. Lifting the front and actuate the kickstand with one foot seems to be the only tolerable option. But you need some strength and balance to keep the bike upright, especially with kids on the back.
I love this bike.
I’m having some weird metallic sounds from the front brake disc. My bike dealer told me that the disc was too big and tend to move a little bit when I tilt the bike on curve. He wants me to move to another disc from magura, something used for mountain bike.
Did you had this problem ?
By the way, what was the accessory mounted in front of the battery?
Tolerances seem to be a tad smaller with magura brakes. I got several bikes with them and they all tend to be noisier than Shimano or Tektro brakes, especially with bigger discs. Technically they work fine, the noise doesn’t bother me anymore…
