Saleh Zwai I would add Wayne as well. When kendrick uses his crying flow you can kind of hear the Wayne influence like on Mona Lisa. And Kendrick had a whole mixtape rapping like Wayne over carter 3 beats

He’s my favorite. Over everyone else including Eminem. Elevators is one of the greatest songs ever written in my opinion. He’s just different. His accented, gorgeous southern flow and his unorthodox cadence and switch flow, his incredible, metaphoric and poetic, philosophical lyrics, then he’ll switch to straightforward bars with stellar vocabulary, and alliteration for days which are all just part of what he does in spectacular fashion w/ a skill set that’s second to none. His unique storytelling ability, his eclectic mind and unique perspective, his creativity in mixing jazz and classic r&b sounds with hip hop all while being a multi instrumentalist and composer, makes him the hip hop equivalent of Prince IMO. He’s distinctive, a nonconformist, a true artist. He’s a lyrical and musical genius, which is a word I use exceedingly sparingly. But in the case of Andre, it’s 💯 appropriate and earned. Just love him. LOVE him. Miss Outkast a lot. The genre needs Andre. He’s truly unique, a master of his craft, and one of a kind. Hopefully he’ll return some day. ATLiens FOREVER ❤️

The first rap song I heard was 'Hey Ya!' on some evening TV show in Sweden. I was probably 6-7, and it was so stuck in my head that I knew exactly where I had heard it when I got to 17-18, got into rap, and stumbled over it again. Andre really is an amazing combination of sound and meaning in his raps. Great video as always.

“Flipper didn’t hold his nose” is likely a reference to how a dolphin that had played Flipper in the t.v. show became depressed and according to her trainer, committed suicide in his arms . Seems like commentary on the consequences of capturing and keeping a highly sentient critter. The dolphin did the only thing thing she had a choice over.
Since the only way he has to make a difference is to open his mouth and say what he has to say, even if the consequences are severe. Like if he kept his head down and did what he’s told, he could make it by longer. But that’s no kinda life

Hey bro, appreciate you. Normally when I see a vid on here is 25min, I’m like “uh”… that’s long but man… this was in-depth, eye-opening and reflective. I’m a product of the hood (Cape Flats, Hood in Cape Town, South Africa) and this breakdown and lyrics slowed me to reflect on the environment I came from to me relative ascendency to where I am now in life.
But more how can we as those who rose out of that environment can guide those that’s coming after us.
I agree with you “don’t settle for what ain’t yours”… that is a layered line/bar. Sheet… André is one of thee lyricists but also how to translate it on a track and cause us to relate and understand.
Keep it up bro…”I have so much to say” after listening to this.

Andre 3000 is in my top 5 diffently I grew up on Outkast,Goodie Mob it crazy that bk in the 90's the things Goodie Mob was rapping about trying to let us know what was coming. Now in 2021-2022 we are experiencing the shit they was telling us some ppl thought they was crazy but I never did I loved both groups

I only have the Aquemeni album (easily one of the top 5 albums of all time to me) as well as Speakerbox/The Love Below album. He's in my top 5, and I'm sure he has a lot more material I haven't heard. You could do a series on him as far as I'm concerned.

Andre 3000 is the black version of Em in regards to the storytelling ability as well as his way of structuring his lyrics. He is definitely one of the best hiphop artists out there alongside Em and Kdot. This is my favorite verse from Andre 3000 and I'm still listening to ATLiens, which to me is still a masterpiece of an album.

Em’s my #1 favorite... but the best piece of rap I EVER heard was 3k’s solo reprise. The whole piece is only like 45 secs but daaaaaamn if it isn’t 🔥🔥🔥🔥

3 stacks is a killer when artists feature him. He takes them over. Beast mode. Top 5 no doubt

I can't really decide on a favorite rapper of all time... but that's only because both 3 Stacks and Black Thought exist. Those two are top 2 for me, I just can't put one over the other.

Aquemini my favorite OutKast song ridiculous lyric wise & 3-stacks rhymes on it Em tier rhymin & im a Em fan…Thts how good it is in my eyes…16 bars is good but I always prefer Aquemini prolly more of a beat preference than lyric thing but @StevieKnight how u compare them..? The “Tudors” “Tutors” is a double bc Tudors we’re a family of bankers from Florence & they were involved in everything back in that time…crazy that’s as good as Machiavelli play on words

ATAliens I think is one of the best OutKast albums, the track 13th floor , Babylon , on the real I feel 3 stacks left us incomplete not doing a solo album but in a way I understand why he didn’t with all the mumble rappers, I pray that Em and 3 stacks can do a song together, that would be legendary
