    Great explanation. When a person speaks a language which is not his / her mother tongue, it is essential to go slow. The reverse is also true, to communicate to a person with a language which he / she is nothing at, it is essential to go slow as well.

    @ 4:30, The one ply blade shows it has been cracked and repaired. I used to be a one ply Hinoke player, and a few of them got crack at the grain while accidently hitting the table. One of the biggest disadvantage by choosing One-Ply. The blade would not play the same (more vibration) even putting it back together.

    This is very informative but like you mentioned it is based on the fact that you start off with a good blade (1 that is recommended for you ) , i play 3-4 times /month so once a week (self thought), about a year ago i bought a new paddle for attack since i like that play style. While the paddle was an improvement to the blade i was using till then , i got no way of knowing if my new paddle (5 layer wood) is good attack blade or bad compared to whats on the market. Every person i played against and they tried my blade, was shocked to learn that im playing with a 210Gram forward heavy paddle.I am thinking of switching the paddle to something lighter in hope of getting more power , but if i switch to something at 180 gram i fear my control will be terrible.

  • @brodino
    @brodino 7 років тому +2

    I am an intermediate player. And I have the Timo Boll ALC blade.
    I like it very much, it is very fast, powerful and mostly, it doesn't vibrate too much. I hate blades that vibrate, i.e. the ZLC.
    But sometimes I feel like it is too "dead", since the ALC system basically removes almost any vibration. And I feel like it lacks a bit in control.
    I would probably play better with a blade that has slightly more vibration, and a bit less faster. Maybe an all wood blade.
    Do you have something to suggest?

    Wow to day I was thinking in changing my equipment for a faster blade with this video but now I won't , I have train more because I'm not consistent with my forehand thanks you know a lot I always think that the rubber was 80% of the playing style and 20 rubber % but now think it it true the blade affects more on the playing style :)

    Hello. Could you advise the Allround blade rubbers ? For example, I consider: Donic Appelgren Allplay, Yasaka Sweden Classic, Stiga Allround Classic etc. I am a self-taught amateur and have made a lot of progress as a recreational player. I had three rackets folded by myself.
    1. Donic Waldner Exclusive AR +, Donnic Akkadi Taichi fh and bh
    2. Donic Persson Seven, Yasaka Rakza 7 Soft bh, Rakza 7 fh
    3. Donic Waldner Exclusive AR +, Donic Bluefire JP 03 bh, Bluestorm Z3 fh
    Something must have been wrong because the balls were flying behind the table or stopped on the net. Of course, I am aware of technical shortcomings. Overall, I would describe myself as an Allround with an ambition to play offensive. I am looking for a suitable board and cladding for the first years of basic training. I heard that the best allround blades are 100% wood and soft rubber to start with. I am asking for help and Best Regards.

      Donic applgren allplay is pretty good for how cheap it is. Get in flared handle or cpen if you play penhold. You can put mostly any rubbers on it depending on your playing style. The blade keeps it in control. I have andro rasant powergrip on fh and nittaku pro beta on bh. I play cpen though. I wouldn't get these in too thick of sponge though so under 2.0mm. I also agree with the mark v though. Very easy setup to use.

      ZakaBossAura Stiga Allround NCT. It was my first proper blade, C-Pen version. One of the best blades ive played with. Excellent control, good flex and feel. Great choice for beginner/developing players.

    • @Irfan87
      @Irfan87 7 років тому +1

      ZakaBossAura Originally i had DHS Hurricane 3 for FH and Yasaka Mk V for BH. But they are kinda slow these days. The blade already has enough control. I switched to Victas V01 for FH and Tibhar 5Q for BH. They are essentially upgrades to the old rubbers i had. Faster without losing any control.

    What do you think about stiga maplewood, and butterfly innerforce alc (btf innf. alc controll for me is incredible but less feel than 5 ply wood) I need same controll but better feel
    ( nittaku violin? latika? accoustic, avalox blt 550 ...)

    • @pingsunday

      Innferforce is too fast for beginner. violin, acoustic, avalox 500 are very good blade. good control and powerful !

      @@pingsunday In the past UA-cam comments you highly recommended violin, acoustic, and OSP Expert for 5-ply all wood blades but I have only ever seen acoustic on your top 10 blade page from your website. If price was equal, in what cases would you recommend the violin or OSP Expert over the acoustic or any of the other 5-plys on your site (e.g., Primorac, Stratus Power Wood, Offensive Classic, Ma Lin Extra)? Is Violin and OSP Expert not mentioned lately because it has been largely determined to not be so good with the new plastic ball? Thank you for the great content!

    Hi, what are the thoughts on "Tenaly" blades? it's the ones with the slightly curved handle made by Nittaku.

    • @rikitoy
      @rikitoy 8 років тому

      I used Tenaly before. It's an acquired taste. I play penhold, that's why it's an easy transition to shakehand. The head is quite small, and at the same time, have to decide which one is your FH rubber and which one is your BH rubber, as the cut of the rubber is not the same.

    • @The_Paddle_Smith
      @The_Paddle_Smith 8 років тому

      As a shake hand player, I found the balance to be"off". It seemed to be heavier in the "front" due to the head hanging lower. I just hope it doesn't affect my mechanics in a bad way

    Hello EmRatThich, I'm very thankful for your iniciative, your are the best coach in UA-cam!! :D
    I need your help, recently I injured my knee and I'm thinking in put a Short-pip rubber in my forehand to don't force it a lote like the chinese style. I'm a penholder with RBP and ofensive player (OFF - or OFF) and I play since 2010.
    I would like some advices about equipments (rubber and blade) and techniques for this playing style. In my country there are just Butterfly, Donic, Xiom, DHS and TSP.
    Do you think the short-pip in penholders will come back with de poly ball?
    Thank you EmRatThick.

      Many people prefer the feel of either hard rubber on soft blade or soft rubber on hard blade. H3 neo topsheet is harder, like H3, but with a medium hard sponge. Perhaps the Rakza 7 Soft would give you better dwell time for feel and spin with such a fast blade.
