@@marcelcjr9313 he didn't get a lot of things in this movie. He talks about it on his channel, there was a large uproar in the comments. Not like disrespectful or anything just like not understanding where he was getting his views from. He was kind of nitpicky. But in my opinion he also didn't understand a lot of the Chinese nuances of the film that completed it. If you know them then you really enjoy it and it's exciting to see it come to life because these are long time stories you grow up learning.

Also the part where joe said shang chi holding marvel and asian and bart was like dont fuck up. too late. simu was called "unattractive" by china's standard and now shang chi is not approve for distribution in china. Also, simu took offence to the word "experiment" and twitted to disney saying that Asian are not a an experiment. Disney used the word experiment in the context of how well the movie will do in theater for 1 month before releasing it on disney plus. Disney want to gather information on people's reaction of going back to the theater amid covid since they will be releasing a movie every month until the end of the year

There’s main character versus step-parent or versus uncle/aunt in Chinese dramas. And plenty that fight against a parent(s) too. I don’t think that would causes issues for the China audience.

The number 1 thing I really appreciated about this movie is that it not only touches on Chinese culture, but Asian culture in general. I love the moments in the movie where it makes you go "ahhh" or "ohh I get that". And Tony Leung absolutely fucking killed it.
They need david for this episode to make it more exciting 😆
Have you watch Genius Brain podcast when David and Ed talked abt Shang Chi? He roasted the shit out of the movie and Simu. It would be dope if we get to see David and Simu in the same room tho.
My theory is Dante is real and we’re all not. He lived the perfect child actor storyline. He was Zuko from the best American cartoon. He acted with Robbin Williams. Don’t believe me yet? He kissed Ashley banks bro. Not yet? The channel that you watched everyday for five years. This guy just can slide whenever and be “ Imma do a video or two” like it’s casual.

The letterman jacket was actually reversible. You can see in the train scene that we takes it of and wear is on the other side.
The way they killed the Death Dealer was honestly the worst part of the movie imo. I expected more from him before he died smh

Yeah it was kinda disappointing especially since the trailers seemed to put so much emphasis on him. But it also kinda made sense as Shang-Chi almost killed him. Showing that he already was a better fighter than Death Dealer.
2:17 Infernal Affairs is so much better than The Departed. Don't forget Andy Lau. Another legend in his own right.

Shangchi was a good startup asian superhero movie, but marvel can def do better with the story and comedic lines. Actors and action was amazing though

I honestly didn’t think I would like this movie. I thought it was just another side marvel movie to make some money and that it wouldn’t add to the other ones. But it was really good. Honestly one of my favorites.

Same, I didn't expect them to integrate the Asian side of things so well. It felt so authentic from the music to the dialogue
So Zuko is now apart of this vlog now. . . .I love how he went from quiet and slowly gauging the room to fully integrating himself.

He had a lot of good points tho as exemplary the choreography and fighting was the forced cheesy comedy and the weird relationship between Shang chi and his father made the movie feel awkward.

The movie was solid 5 out of 10. The movie wasnt bad.

I really enjoyed the film.
This movie actually had one of the smallest marvel budgets, which honestly didn’t seem that way, though the fight in the village was really sad, it felt like a bootleg wakanda fight.
Why is it that village that existed on its own for thousands of years and wenwu’s army only had like 30 dudes fighting it was pretty unepic.
I would have prefer a sequence of maybe 1 on 3 fights between Wen Wu the sister, aunt and Shang chi. Kinda like old school Kung fu flicks.

Honest yes, but well thought out? uh no. Just look at the comments, there are a lot comments correcting them for inaccuracies or they simply missed the explanation that was presented in the movie.

The movie was above average but JK and other Asians need to stop acting like if Simu-chu messes up it will damage all Asians. Jackie Chan was so popular he had his own tv show. Anime and manga are more popular then comics and western animation. If asian got together to make live action tv shows based on anime or manga actually stuck with the source material and not change race or the gender of the characters they would do a good job.
