  • Well what a crazy few days it has been, we got the chance to go and pick up our very own Sherp. This does not mean we are quitting atv's and sxs's at all lol, just another tool to make it places nothing else can make it. Help out with trail clearing and atv/sxs rescues. Hope you guys like the video, stay tuned for part 2. Thank you all for watching!!

    As much as they are... Being that you live in Canada, I'd say that it was a wise investment for sure!
    I know what I'd drive in a blizzard it it came down to it! Since Harvey came through and they fk'd up by opening up the dams, it ruined our welding machine and my transmission for good...
    I've been looking at a new tig rig and finally converting my Expedition to 40's with a manual transmission. A lot of lift and some and relocating, but it'll be worth it again.
    Take care Dave, you'll be able to post videos without getting frostbite in the middle of winter! Amazing machine!

      +Aint1S Thanks dude. Sorry to hear of your situation. That hurricane was insane!!

    • @Aint1S
      @Aint1S 6 років тому

      ostacruiser it was a strange one... Especially after the tropical storm formed, that's when the national news really likes to run the bs story. The rain was more than an average thunderstorm, but it was less than other Category 4 to 5 hurricane we've witnessed. The only difference was that they opened the damn dams up on us. My area now holds the record for rainfall, but the flooding was from the dam.
      We're 28' above sea level, and it was up to our steps. The ground was dry the day before and normal rain stays on the ground for a long, long time afterwards. The day the storm came, it was raining normal with heavy spells on and off. At 4:30, something really strange had started to take place; the ground water was rising and surpassing the rain gauge at more than 3 to 4x the rate. It climbed a 3' deep incline at a length of 20+' in less than 45 minutes after 4:30pm.
      The morning after, it was obvious something more than rain did this kind of damage. Later in the day, after I had to kayak down the street to my neighbors to hear them say that they're calling for a mandatory evacuation because they're going to open the dam!?
      The water never went up after they announced that info because they opened it the evening the storm hit, but the gates wouldn't close.
      They did this all down the Texas coast... the mess is due to the water authority that controls the dams, but they're more than happy to let the storm take the blame for human error.
      We cut our grass in less than a week to the day. The very grass that was at the bottom of 4+' of water and we live at least 15+ miles from the river. Bay boats were hauling ass down the street, it was something to witness... That's for sure!
      I may post a few day before and after pictures of the ordeal on here. It'll be your mind.

    i thought he did a damn good job driving on that trailer..

    • @twoZJs
      @twoZJs 6 років тому +3

      He did a damn good job getting it home w/o it sliding to either side and off the trailer. Especially the tires were being half off the bed. ALWAYS, ALWAYS, 'X' the tie-down chains from the load's frame rail to the trailer's far side, front and rear with one set. Then the other tie-down set, chain straight down to the trailer bed from the frame rail, front and rear. If any one of those 'may-pop' tires had gone down, the fun would have been over. Ask the Russian up there or any Ukrainian, they've had this lesson too many times. : )

    This is what happens when a drunk mechanic , a stoned welder, and an engineer on mushrooms get pissed cause their regular trucks keeps breaking. Lol
    Looks like someone got locked in the gulag and was told they will never leave u less they invent the most capable off road rig ever invented.

      Funny comment, but it was 'sharashki', not gulag, where engineers were enslaved in Stalin's era. And, you should *never* joke about this things.

    • @Mocsk
      @Mocsk 6 років тому +35

      It's completely ok to joke about this things, as you would joke about ordinary prisons. Because that's what they were, ordinary prisons. But someone had the idea that most educated prisoners can be more valuable separated from general population and given means to produce and engineer stuff in much better conditions than your average inmate. All this "enslave" bullshit is an urban myth.

      I think they used it to escape from the gulag.

    Pull the ramps out to load that thing. Have someone hold the brakes on the truck also. That much pushing force will chatter the gears in the transmission back and forth and can cause damage. Had it happen from a forklift loading a trailer from behind and pushing it forward

      No where near as much load put on the transmission as normal driving or even towing.

    One thing, does it have a diff lock?

    • @Hunterboy2407
      @Hunterboy2407 6 років тому +7

      Polaris Ace Skid steers can't have diff lock... they turn by moving either side tires at different speeds, and diff lock restricts that.
