  • In this week's episode I go Vertical Jigging for giant fish. Vertical jigging is a high energy, hard hitting, drag pulling fishing style. The bites comes fast and furious, and the fish are big. I also go over in detail some techniques of how to go about perform this fishing style and the stamina required. Thanks a boat load. High speed jigging is super fun, especial when you get the hook up. Nothing quite like it. I guess I'm kinda a strike junkie, it gets me every time, that initial strike, never gets old. Take care & tight lines boss. I'll checking out some of your content when I get a free moment.

Can you catch red snapper vertical jigging. Thankfully you have a lot of videos. Every search engine is jammed up with slow pitch info. I’m trying to find info on vertical jigging. Tight lines

Yes you can get red snapper vertical jigging, just only wind up about 30 feet from the bottom then let back out.

Jigging works best around structure, never directly over it. If you jig right on top of your structure, chances of getting hung up are highly increased. So, in the general vicinity of your chosen structure is good... If you're over a reef make sure to not let the jig sit on the bottom too long for the same reason. any depth is good for jigging... the way it works is rather simple. The deep you go, the heavier the jig you need. 1 gram of weight is good for about 2 feet of water... for example, a 120 gram jig is good for up to 240 feet.. you can go shallower with the heavier, but you want to keep the weight some what topical. Thanks a million for all the watching and great questions. Glad I could help. Maybe one day we'll run into each other out there. Tight lines & take care :)
