I love this!!! I have a 4 month old grandson. When he gets fussy in the car and cries I play this over the speakers and he calms right down and it literally just soothes him right to sleep. He goes from screaming in madness to the sweet baby sighs of relaxation. Thank you for this! ❤
Regardless of the clearly Schizophrenia-induced hallucination that is this story; Talking to yourself while falling down a well inside of a tree as if nothing is wrong is a worrying characteristic that no person who isn't a danger to themselves or others would have.
@@DoctorTwo The *first* thing I do in my reply is mention that none of it is real, but even if it was just a dream and not a conscious hallucination; Alice wouldn't know any of that at that point in the story. From her point of view, it's all real and actually happening.
@@DoctorTwo I didn't diagnose shit, I said that the whole story was a hallucination, because I didn't know it was a dream; I only used schizophrenia as a possible reason for why she hallucinated. I also said " *regardless* of the clearly schizophrenia-induced hallucination," if you knew how to read, you'd know that meant that I was talking about the story as a whole being a hallucination and *then* saying that even *if it was real* , talking to yourself while falling down an impossibly long well as if nothing was wrong isn't something a person who's okay to be around would do. And now because you clearly don't know how to read, you're calling me a liar, like an idiot.
@@rogercase9982 It's funny, I don't feel embarrassed. I do, however, see 3 idiots who obviously skipped English on the day they covered reading comprehension.
I admire how Alice’s mind works. I seek this childlike curiosity in my own mental functions. The world should be fascinating and received in wonderment. Thank you for helping me to find sleep.
Hey can you please make a audio book on this book it's a request from one of your fan. "Don Juan and the Art of Sexual Energy: The Rainbow Serpent of the Toltecs "
The whole thing is open to interpretation so there really isn't any one meaning to 'get'. People have interpreted this book in many different ways, from critiques of political systems to representations of mathematical theory. Others just enjoy it as a work of absurdist fantasy. If you find some meaning in a scene then that's good but I wouldn't worry about trying to make sense of the whole thing, it's intentionally surreal. The really intriguing thing about this book, whether intentional or not, is that it acts as a kind of Rorschach test for the reader. Each person sees their own meaning within. Nobody is really wrong or right, they just make sense of the chaos in their own way.
Each time a character voice chances it startles me awake. It is not a story to fall asleep to. To listen to before trying to sleep perhaps but there’s nothing sleep inducing/relaxing about the way it’s read. Sorry……
I disagree entirely. I was sad and lonely, so driving around late at night. I put this on and despite listening while driving, I almost passed out at the wheel. I loved it!
THIS is the kind of voice I was looking for. The first few I browsed were female. Nothing against that but they ranged from ditzy, soccer mom, Mary Poppins or UK GPS. This is what I would consider appropriate for this classic story. 🫖🃏🐇

I’m studying English with my favorite story. Thank you 😊
Alice is hilarious she would so be my friend just talking to herself as she's falling LOL

Alice is such a lovable character in the book. They really did her dirty in the movie by making her a straight woman.
Which movie version?
@@spencerfrankclayton4348 both. She's more interesting in the animated version, but still acts as the straight woman.

Ah the voice too quick for me to sleep :(
You can change the playback speed in your settings if that helps 🙂🙏🏻
0.75 is the best speed
Click on the the video, then the 3 dots on the right upper corner, then playback speed and choose from there.
It doesn’t appear that Alice is all too bright.
I dont get it. The symbolism that is. Some points make sense and make for nice quotes but Im about halfway through and dont like the book much.

Oh, in what moments?
What is ASMR?
Certain sounds that can be relaxing causing tingles in the brain in body. Google it. Look it up on UA-cam there are tons of mind numbing videos.
Autonomous sensory meridian response.
This reader needs to drink more water.
Too fast narration!,,,, 75% is too slow.🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄going to AUDIBLE to see if Peter reads anything there even if I have to pay for it.
The movies were better.
