    Welcome to the third video in the "Whittle a Chess Set" series! I'll show you how, step-by-step, you can take a simple piece of wood and carve it into a simple (but awesome-looking) knight.

    The wood I used is basswood, and I buy it in 1x1x6 inch blanks. I simply cut the 6-inch blank down into several 1.5" sections using a handsaw.

    Hey, I just finished whittling my knight. It was really fun. I can feel my hold and cuts getting more comfortable. This is a bit challenging for me with bigger hands and it is helping me get over my frustration with the smaller wood. Im really enjoying this series :)
