    Good video
    I have been picking about 6 months now and I practice every day Mostly on the same types of block at the moment as I haven’t managed to get a very big collection.
    Not to worry, I have quite a few ordered as we speak ;)
    My main practice locks are
    Lotto 410
    Abus/Brady 71/40
    Yale 210c/51
    Yale 500 series
    I could not get my Yale 500s at first and used the progressive pinning like you said and now I do them no problem
    So I am currently picking at blue belt
    And have just ordered a brown belt lock to see if I can crack it
    Anker Infinity K Euro
    I liked the fact it has a magnetic element to have a play with
    I need to get around to joining the discord and putting it all on camera
    Good UA-cam Chanel you have I found it because you liked one of my facebook posts about my Yale type of practice day and recognised your name of one of Sandman‘s videos
    For now I will keep watching and learning I haven’t even tried dimple or disc locks yet 😱

      You'll get a big collection eventually. They start adding up quickly. Sounds like you are doing great! Those are some great locks to practice and I'm excited to hear how you do on the brown belt one you ordered. You'll have to keep me posted!
      Ah yea, your Yales .. your collection is beautiful and Yale locks are usually so much fun to pick.
      Glad you found my channel and I hope you find some other stuff on here you enjoy or that ends up helping you out a bit. There is so much to locksport, you could be here for years and still not try everything there is to try. From pick making, to impressioning .. it is a lot! As long as you're having fun, that's all that matters! ❤️🥰😍😘

      You yourself completely blew it up once you started in on things that were tougher than what you’d always been picking. Soon as you started going above your level you picked yourself straight to brown belt locks in no time. So you know how this kinda practicing works.
      But nothing wrong with picking below your level, I just think if you’re sitting down to have your 2 hours of practice for the night, pick some harder stuff too. That’s all I was kinda saying with that. But you’re a success story in doing this above your level practicing in order to level up.
      Thanks for watching Izy!! ❤️😘🥰😍❤️

    Once again, SPOT ON LadyLocks! I love the LPU belt explorer!!! I do wish there were some more locks on it though lol. I have a bunch of locks that aren't ranked on there. Some I find easy, others I find hard lol. Oh, I hate discuss locks! 😅 I have a pro essentials 60mm (basically a dollar general cheap lock) with a small Yale style keyway and one hefty spring that I bent a tensioner in 😢. It's in the naughty corner! I can get into the brinks 60mm 70mm an ace 70mm and the master 40 I think it is, but that one alludes me! Anyway, the advice you give is amazing! This community won't be the same without your support! Ty again! Maybe someday I'll be available to stop in on picking time!

    • @LadyLocks
      @LadyLocks  9 місяців тому

      Yesssss! You should try and make it one day it’s so much fun. Even in the chat those guys are hilarious and make the whole thing so much fun! Those are some great locks you’re picking through! I hate those stupid discus locks too i don’t think I’ve ever picked one. I tried one when I first started and it whooped my arse and I never tried another one. I have one in my drawer I should bust it out and give it a go. I’m afraid to bc it might whoop me too then I’ll feel bad. Now you’ve got me curious though I might have to give it a go. But those ones from the dollar store are terrible tolerances and very tough to pick so don’t get down on yourself for that one. You’re doing amazing! Yea more and more locks are getting ranked it just takes time for everyone to pick them and give a vote. I think it needs 3 or 4 people to have picked them and rank them at the same level. If everyone gives them a different level you can’t get an accurate vote. It just takes a long time. But yea I wish some more were on the list too.
      Anyhow thanks for watching my friend! And thank you so much for all the nice things you said! That means a lot to me! 🩷😘🥰❤️😍☺️

    New picker here. This week I opened an ace hardware brass pad lock and an American 1100 series.
    Only been picking 6 weeks but it’s odd to me how I struggle more with spp master lock 1 and 3 and magnums. And even some times the master lock 140.
    But I can get green locks open with a lot less cursing and frustration. I also have a 60mm brass brinks locks that I’ve only picked twice with unfriendly bitting that I’d love to see someone else have a go at.
    Either way this is a fun hobby.
    Thanks for all the tips mam.

    • @LadyLocks
      @LadyLocks  8 місяців тому

      Sounds like you’re doing great! Congrats on all your progress. It’s most likely easier for you to pick those types of locks because locks containing security pins have a lot more feedback and they pretty much talk to you, telling you how to pick them. Standard pins don’t tell you much one way or another. And a lot of times you barely even feel a click when you set a standard pin due to the crappy tolerances inside the lock. And yea, some locks have some pretty crazy bitting that can make them a bit more challenging to pick.
      Sounds like you’re on the right track and doing amazing. Keep up the great work! And thanks for taking the time to watch and leave a comment! 🥰❤️😍☺️

    Not a beginner, but great advice as always. I have a Master 575 modified Challenge Lock (yup, guttable, altered to be that way, not normally guttable ofc) if you'd like to give it a go, or anyone else. LMK. I am working on my own CL containing hand-made pins (some without a rotary tool), and it can be pretty vile. It should be done within the next few weeks.

    The Master lock M15 magnum seems to be killing me. I have no idea if i just can't feel the feed back or I'm not putting enough pressure on it. I even tried the M5 magnum and they just feel different from every thing I have attempted more squishy maybe??!!

    • @LadyLocks
      @LadyLocks  Рік тому +1

      Ugh yea I just tried the M5 maybe … the smaller one that looks like that M15 Magnum. Well it was a real jerk. That’s one that will take me a few tries and some practice to figure out. But yea it did feel kinda squishy actually. I wasn’t a fan. Lol. I’d say if it gets too frustrating for you try something else and just put that one in the naughty bucket for a while. You can always try it periodically til you get it without letting it get you too frustrated each time. 😘❤️🥰🩷😍

    • @LadyLocks
      @LadyLocks  Рік тому

      @@Echo5-Tango I wish I had more advice on that lock but it’s a tough one. The Masterlocks in general don’t have great tolerances and can be difficult to pick for that reason. Just do not let it get you down or slow you down. I just watched someone doing a live and he was picking that M15 for 2 hours and never got it open. He was even trying to rake it. Just know you’re definitely not alone with having trouble with that one. But that doesn’t mean you can’t pick other locks at that level and above that level too. 🥰❤️

      Crazy how easily some locks pop right open. When I started, this shocked me so much I couldn’t believe how low some of their security were. I opened my first masterlock with paper clips and was totally into picking from that point on lol. Thanks for checking this video out! 🥰❤️

    Locksport level up, pass go, but never get the 200$ fecken dollars ya know🤷🏼😝🤪….. what happens when my easy is ur hard and ur hard is my easiest🤔. Oneday a noob is gonna come obliterate this system. Oh also forgot that they constantly or that the belt system is fluid. They not only get new added but old debelted. So what was once say brown today could be blue tomorrow. Especially if to many people belt this same particular lock. In otherwords (dont choose highly popular locks in the system).Take the American 1100 for example. Almost everyone used it to belt, then oneday the lock belt overlords decide its to simple because of new techniques some had learned or developed. Had nothing to do with the lock itself being easy(because so many still cant or have problems with em when in first 1/2-1 year of picking. So morale to long long story. If your doing belt system check everyday on stat of your lock your picking. Or ya might be picking yesterday’s belt🤷🏼🫣🤣.

    • @LadyLocks
      @LadyLocks  Рік тому

      Very true. But when you make it to black you get to vote on the belt color of locks you’ve picked. I think that they should have it where the people voting pick a couple different of the same model locks they vote on tho. Because you can get an easy version of a lock and assume all of that lock model are easy if you’ve only picked one.
      Eh, there are many flaws in the system but it’s a pretty cool system for tracking your progress. Not everyone likes it though that’s for sure. There’s people who are just plain against the belt system or hate it and that’s fine too. You just got to do what YOU think is fun or what’s the point.
      I just feel like if you want to level up, you’ve got to take a lock you know nothing about and dissect it and study it and try it out and figure it out and practice it and practice it some more. Picking the same old locks will only keep you good at the same old locks. Which there is NOTHING wrong with doing, if that’s what you think is fun.
      Thanks for checking this video out tho sadistic. It was sooooo long it’s kind of annoying lol so thanks for sitting thru it! 😂🤣😂
      ❤️😘🥰😍❤️
