Stumbled across your channel because I just got this in a bundle with the am8 and was looking up reviews. Really like your approach bro. Keep going bro 💪🏿💪🏿
When you started playing with the voice changer, I immediately thought of Home Alone. 1 minute later, you did the whole skit LOL You killed it dude and it looks like youre having fun. Love the vibes. Cheers bro
Been trying to improve my mic audio for videos, but since I do everything straight from the ps5, was looking for a starter audio interface that's plug and play and heard so much about fifine, decided to investigate and tbh, this sounds like the play to go, at least to start, sounds fine, and for $50 you can't expect a huge professional full on sound board, I'm convinced.
Yes, this mixer will work with your PS5. I think it would be perfect and get you great quality for years to come. Its simple to use plus it has good features like programmable buttons and voice changing. Good luck!
So I have a hyperx quad cast mic .. if I run aux from mic and aux into the “headset” mic slot I can’t access the voice changing settings and everything else. Do I need to buy an aux to xlr male and plug into the xlr slot to make it work for me?
I literally show how to do it in the video. You hold the button for 2 secs.. @ 8:56 Custom audio sample buttons….Any sound playing through the mixer that you can hear out the headphones or out the output through speakers can be recorded.
@WilliamNevius thanks. It was a short undetailed explanation on how to do it. My audio mixer is only picking up feedback instead of what's playing through it. Possibly an issue with mine specifically.
hey dude great vid i have a scarlet solo the audio is great but the direct monitor is pretty quiet and the volume knob is a little weird. im thinking about buying this one how do you think the sound quality through xlr compares to your 2i2 the tone preamp noise and everything. i mostly do podcast recording and some music i'll maybe record my piano with line in and vocals with the mic. is it solid enough for that and is the live monitoring volume loud enough. hoping to get an answer thanks in advance.
In the video, I did a sound test of both interfaces back to back, and I did not notice any difference in sound quality. They both had the mic sound good. Yes, volume is loud to me @ 75% of the way.
@WilliamNevius cool thanks i ordered one hope it works out the extra controls should help. thanks for the reply though i wonder how much of that extra money is just the brand name with focusrite i bought it new when it came out for 150 i guess the build is great sounds good as well though the volume knob started giving up within a year the direct monitor volume was an issue and didnt work well with the official drivers the mic gain suffered these are known issues that they refuse to fix so i thought i'll go with something else this time around 50 bucks wont hurt haha. focusrite sounds great i wish they cared more.
For the (Line-In Aux), if you play music with your phone will the audio play through the usb-out that would be connected to a ps5 and will others hear? Or does it just playback through headphones to the user only?
This mixer needs to be selected as an audio interface on your computer. When it’s setup like that any sounds playing from your computer play from the output of the this mixer which allows you to hold custom buttons down and record sounds
Great review! I got one yesterday but I can't quite figure it out. I've tried to connect my speakers through the line out port, and on the mixer you can see the lights from the sound moving but I'm not actually hearing anything coming from my speakers. Also, when I use the custom buttons, I can only hear them when I plug my headphones into the mixer. Do you know if there's a way to fix these things? thanks!
The line out fader needs to be up to hear the audio, and the mic monitor needs to be on to hear XLR mic input through the line out port. I just tested it it works. just make sure your lifting the faders up.
Hello I'm just looking to buy some mixer but I don't know how to manage when I'm recording some music background when I do live streaming for example to easy way to press the 3 songs? Please can you help me? This one is good for that? Thank you
Does this actually amplify signal to headphones? I want to replace my Soundblastet sound card with something that will drive my headphones and have them still sound awesome.. thank you!
Going from usb to XLR definitely add character to the mic. But I think where this mixer really shines is the additional features like the programmable buttons voice effects that is more of a reason to purchase them just to go to XLR because the difference I think will be minimal. Hope that helps
@William Nevius, love the review! My only question is, can you still hear audio through your headphones without the mic monitoring on? Thanks and would love to hear your feedback on my question.
Thank you! Yes! You can hear the audio playing from your computer without Mic monitor on. Mic monitor allows you to hear yourself back when talking. I had it on for the video so I could hear myself and what was being recorded in realtime. I hope that makes sense 🙂🙃😌
@@WilliamNevius yes it does! I just wanted to make sure when I stream or something I can still get my audio to play without having mic monitoring on. More or less, I don't like to hear myself talk lol
@@WilliamNevius😂. Okay one last question and I’ll leave you alone I promise. I have IEMS and would I just plug them straight into the headphone jack on the mixer and still hear everything with out mic monitor on?
@zachmercs1116 gotcha. No worries bro 🤣😂 I’m mad I google IEMS and saw the images like oh in ear 😩 but yes! As long as you plug the headphone jack in the port you can hear cpu audio. Happy new year 🥳
Honestly it doesn’t really matter. I’d say over the ear headphones Fifine as makes pretty good headphone for a good price so maybe check those out. I use beats mainly because it’s my preference
You can technically plug in an additional mic into the line in port or an instrument as long as you do not need 48V phantom power but really this is designed more for 1 mic input. The use of the second line input would be a mix from the mixer and not 2 dedicated channels in recording software. I hope that makes sense to you lol

you need to hava XLR mic to be abiel to ues it

Yes. All effects like Voice changing are done on the xlr connection only. So if you get an xlr cable you will be good to use all of the features.
Can the PS5 party chat hear the custom buttons?
Yup!!
I’m alil late writing a comment but thinking about getting this, how do you hook it up to dual pcs?
You can try to use this mixer as an audio interface on 1 PC and use the line output on the SC3 mixer into PC 2.
@@WilliamNeviushello I cannot get my voice changer to work?????????

thanks bro. Couldn’t resist it 😅😅😫🤣🤣😂

@@WilliamNevius haha fair thanks for the review keep up the good work
@iamqaisermunir thanks a lot. Will do and good luck to you 👍🏽
Do you have to have a headset and a mic or can I use my headphones with a mic built in?
Yes, there is a slot to use a headset so you can go that route if you don’t have a XLR microphone and traditional headphones
As long as you use the headset port, it should work. You will need the proper cable.
@@WilliamNevius genuinely thank you so much just bought one after your review and want sure, so helpful!😁

For the (Line-In Aux), if you play music with your phone will the audio play through the usb-out that would be connected to a ps5 and will others hear? Or does it just playback through headphones to the user only?
It plays through both USB out and headphones. Your viewers will hear the audio unless you turn the line-in fader down
When you did the custom sound how is it picking up the audio without using your mic?

Hi. I would like to make stream with 2 pcs and I want a low cost mixer. This would work? Thanks!
I mean yes, You'd use this mixer as an audio interface on 1 PC and use the line out put on the mixer into PC 2. Try doing it that way
Can i use this to hear my pc and console audio at the same time?
Yes. Pc audio comes out automatically then need to route the console sound into line in on the mixer

I don’t think I understand. You want to record background music into your computer then queue them to play with one button on the mixer?
can i use fifine k688 with this?
Yes of course
Is it compatible with any XLR microphone ?
Yes any XLR microphone will work with this device
I recently bought this soundcard. Is there a feature to change echo?
If the voice changing or electronic buttons are lit up hold it down for 2 secs to the light cuts off then it should remove any effects
Does this actually amplify signal to headphones? I want to replace my Soundblastet sound card with something that will drive my headphones and have them still sound awesome.. thank you!
For my headphones yes. I keep them on about the 7th volume notch and it is loud enough for me and still have some play
does it actually enhance the mic quality? Im on ps5 and ive been trying to find ways to make my mic sound better since i cant use any softwares

You have to hit the 48 V button to supply phantom power for condenser Mic.
