Day in The Life of a Twitch Mod

- Опубліковано 6 жов 2021
- Today we are taking a look at Wolfinstein and his day to day duties of that of a Twitch Moderator. A hard working job that has little to no pay. With the recent Twitch leaks it should make him upset, but he isn't because he does it for the love of the game of Twitch.

Banning chatters for making a sexual comment during a clearly non-sexual stream where the girl is bouncing on a banana while in a hot tub is hard work.

Very hard work. You could say, the hardest work possible.
Man i break my ass building houses all day and I'm only living mildly comfortable. Anyone here want to pay me to bounce on a banana?
I think of the dodgiest thing possible and comment it in the twitch chats. I’m as sad as the mods

The epitome of typecasting
The whole group does. Trevor, Spencer, I would say Cherdleys as well, but his characters are often so outlandish that it's not realistic. He still nails the essence of the characters he portraying though
he just fits the role so well lmao...

A) “That’s like really the bare minimum.”
B) “Yeah, what else would I expect.”
That’s so sad and funny at the same time.
The fact that there are streamers that don't pay their mods is actually sad
Most don't.
So what's the point
Mods aren’t important lol, thinking it’s an actual paying job and some e-girl twitch streamer would actually care about you
Some streamers do? This is why I don't get how we're ok with millionaire streamers. If all the work is done by editors and mods why tf haven't we heard about millionaire editors?
Streaming isn't a job, is a crime, they are literally making tons of money out of someone else's job.
@@hellerdamon6101 it’s like any celebrity job. They make money from their personalities and fame. The work the put in obviously isn’t equal to the money they get. But it’s the same in a lot of high paying positions.
Although you could argue they are selling their soul, private life and any future prospects of getting a normal job.
A lot of editors do get well payed, but only for the biggest creators. If they are personal editors it’s usually a hefty salary. I do think the mods should get paid in some way. It’s not OK to expect someone to moderate a chat for 6h/day and give them nothing in return.
Wouldn't be surprised to see Ryan become the next Steve Carrel. His cringe is on point.
these type of videos are heavily influenced by Kyle Mooney.. Check out his youtube, the videos are over a decade old but still some of the very best work on youtube
This man is so good at acting that I actually feel genuine pity for the characters he creates.
dude it is scary how good you are at playing characters like this
It’s funny until you realize that there are actually people like this 😳

Discord mods will do ?mute and they will all get scared
I like this. It might seem as if Ryan's ripping on simping neckbeards, but I think it serves as a much needed tongue-in-cheek indictment of internet economics. A few stars make millions, and a ton of people do what amounts to part time or even full time jobs for no money, no recognition, because they're young, gullible or don't value their time. Same goes on youtube, for subtitles and such. I don't understand how this is legal, and why there are still people feeding this system.

This video just reminds me how bad the state of Twitch is

This is the sad reality. I kind of feel sorry for them.
Tbh considering how well remunerated most steamers are, it actually makes sense to pay mods.
However because of jerk heads who want to work for free, that entire work is not financially feasible. It could add additional people to the employment tier.
theres actually always a guy in every streamers chat who spends their day doing this
the trilogy is now complete. Beautiful
I always know these are satire but my god Ryan enacts them so realistic that I genuinely get uncomfortable and cringe lmao! His acting is phenomenal haha

Instant banning from entering my business.
This is depressing. I can't believe some people live like this.
I've always wondered about the twitch mods I've encountered, and you really gave us a peek behind the curtain. That monthly call is quite the currency, I guess... and the unrealistic hope for something more. "I gotta get back to "work." "

This was long overdue. And boy did you deliver.
Thank you for all you do, Wolfstein. Your work benefits society in immeasurable ways.
I mean i have been having this question for years. Do any moderators get paid, if so how much in ratio in comparison to the streamers who they do the job for?
I really hope these mods are earning something. I mean this feels like this stuff is hard even more time consuming.
