As someone who had a terrifying dissociation during my first time in VR some things here are accurate.
Once I came out of the headset (after four days, my brain associated VR with the real world) I had one of the largest breakdowns I’ve ever had.
When I would walk I would pantomime holding the VR controllers and would make the same movements, my bestie took me to Walmart and instead of grabbing Oreos I pointed at them with the “controller” and pulled the “trigger”.
I still get minor anxiety attacks using VR headsets to this day and this was 26 months ago.

better to be safe than sorry. video game addiction has ruined children socially, emotionally and physically. Children who grow up on the internet who don't get enough interaction outside their computers can grow up to feel unfulfilled and like their life isn't as exciting as it should be, if not becoming basement dwellers that mooch off their parents. Take it from me, I was on the internet 12 hours a day when I was 9 all the way up to when I was 17 and it took heavy therapy for a year to be able to live for myself again. People make fun of those Facebook moms for being Karens and whatnot, but if my two cents mean anything I'll tell you 110% they're right.

Discord literally has no benefit to my life but just talking to online people I’ll never talk to in the next two years as people who you know and real will last. I fully agree with it but you should not let your children be addicts, we will never know what their life will be and you will not be sure what they’ll end up doing next. I’m 13 years old as of now and I control my internet usage without the knowledge of my parents. I’m in the process of leaving social media apart from youtube and facebook(Yep, my country still uses facebook for the main communicability device). I have high hopes that I’ll become more knowledgable and wise.
