You have done a great deal for many of the BMW owners. There is nothing else left for you to do. I will be following you mate even though my days for Porsche is over. I would like your advice on this I am thinking of getting a Mercedes Slk, I don’t know anything about Mercs . Your view and opinion would be gratefully appreciated.
As far as the big 3 of VW/Audi, BMW, & Benz goes, Benz reliability and ease of maintenance will make it seem like you have a Honda compared to the other 2. Far superior build quality. Anything 2012 and on is however a roll of the dice. UA-cam and forum presence for Benz is just as plentiful as BMW, but generally the audience is older, so you'll get a mix of deep dives and technical info along with old men still occasionally running to dealer.
Roof hydraulic systems are the biggest thing to look for on a convertible Mercedes. M112, M113 & M272 (post balance shaft issue) are arguably the most reliable & easily sorted "modern" Mercedes engines on Earth. Beware of rear subframe rot on R171's & early R172's.....recalled in the UK, class action in the US & MBUSA will reimburse. One of few Mercedes to have a fair amount of manual gearbox options as well.
Never used to like BM. Theeeen I got one. My second and current car, a 116i Sport and I love it! Because of it and this chanel, I'm sticking to Beamers I think 😂💪

I have a problem and urgently need help!
In my m5 e60 the pump motor of the smg has broken, I have replaced it correctly and refilled the hydraulic oil. But I still can't hear the pump motor and the car won't start. As far as I know you have to retrain and bleed everything, I have ordered the mucar v06 for this and wanted to ask you if it works with it or if you know what the problem would be with the car. I don't know anyone who can help me yet, I'm going crazy!

I wish I could say that was true but unfortunately the younger crowd are fooled thinking the more expensive cars you buy the more bigger you grow and the more views you get I mean look at other channels doing expensive cars like myself and you can will see what I mean. I think you will find these cheap cars are doomed for the future I mean all youngsters here deffinetely don’t want to drive bmw I have two sons who are 17 and 4 others who 2 are 13 and already well into Porsches and motorbikes and my daughter she’s 8 and Porsche crazy as that’s all you see where I am so I know what she will be as she loves the 911 and now the convertible 😅 and they follow me and they deffinetely don’t want a bmw for the first car or never I mean my sons want a Mercedes GLC AMG and a Porsche because of me 😅so that says something already which then means their friends will have to compete with that and then they push the parents to buy them something like that and I don’t think a bmw can compete with a Porsche or Mercedes if I’m honest. I mean I just paid for my sons to go to a track day to drive 4 Porsches on the track so that says something really. As I said people follow others so now my sons will have a Porsche the amount of friends my son has they will all be at the parents for one bmw doesn’t carry that symbol anymore of a nice car and achievement and I mean the younger generation do not want them maybe where you are but in the Uk that ain’t even possible people want what they see everyone else have and it deffinetely aint bmw not here anyway.
Have to remember dude im a big influence to the younger generation especially because i have kids and i speak to their friends as all the friends are now learning to drive and I tell them what cars to get and avoid and they know i know bmw very well so people trust my advice I wouldn’t own Porsches if I thought bmw was good would I 😅 im leading the next generation the right way fact is i want them to achieve great things achieveing a bmw is not a great thing its a good thing but it doesn’t mean you worked hard I want them to have something people know they worked hard to get bmw doesn’t make that statement. I’m quite lucky I have enough people come to me especially the younger crowd asking what they should buy and they all question me why do I have bmw if It’s no good and I have to explain to them the whole story 😄
Fact is my sons when asked about bmw they say it’s a old mans car 😂 as you know with youngsters it’s monkey see monkey do so whatever they have they want then the next young friend who they know wants one and next thing it becomes a trend on social media that you put everyone into one.
I’m quite lucky I can do that for my kids as you know most kids drive Mercedes now not bmw I can tell you that already

Hey Doc! I hope you are good, sorry about your car. I bought a 525i E60 diesel engine with got into a flood and has been parked for a long time which I had to buy a new engine and a couple of stuff but I still have Issues with the car starting up. It does hard starting
I found Doctor Dean during the lock down and I thought he was the bomb, first person I found on UA-cam who actually knew his stuff and who I considered "An Expert" BUT he dissed me 🤦🏽♂️ when I asked him a question about my 'highline N43 320i' he told me "I'm not interested, wait until it breaks down and get a N52 which is the best bmw engine hands down"... 😳 So he issed me off and I unsubscribed 🤣😂🤣... But STILL on a level, Doctor Dean is the best on UA-cam for BMW knowledge 💯%... I'm going to subscribe again and see how he gets on with the 911...My dream car from i was 10yrs old btw 😁... Show us how it's done with the porsche like u did with the BMWs Bimmer Doc 👊🏽😎🇯🇲
I got down to the bottom of the sos 🆘 problem down to battery drain. I bought a new battery and tried to register the battery . I have a launch 431 pad . I couldn’t register the battery. And I decided to go back through register it again, and it gave me the option too erase all batteries registered on ecu . Now I have registered new battery and the battery drain has disappeared so I suspect that all battery registered on ecu causes battery drain with confusion to ecu . I know you can delete the sos on insta which is possible. But how many batteries been registered on the bmw ecu before it gets confused

Gearbox and air suspension issues will be expensive if you're unlucky.
