Very interesting technology! Honestly, I have never gotten a call for an Audi in my neck of the woods. In fact, I've never had a situation where I would need to use OEM software.(people around here would probably be too cheap to pay OEM anyway lol( Thanks for the demo though!
Thanks for the comments. There are many challenges with buying subscriptions. The biggest one is trying to justify the cost. If you don't have the demand, it's not worth it.
I’m new to this industry, trying to learn as much as possible. When buying dealer software I’m assuming you must purchase the software and then purchase an update for that software each year? What if you don’t purchase the update you are locked out?
Dealer software is not like the scan tool updates. You are either in subscription or out of subscription. All updates are included. FDRS, WiTech, Odis, MDARS, etc, are like this.
I've been warned about using multiple OEM software on the same computer. Currently, ODIS is on this dedicated laptop. FDRS, and WiTech, are on a second laptop and SPS and MDARS are on a third computer.
They will interfere with each other and not allow either to work. The only experience I have with this is a co-worker having Honda software on a laptop with FDRS and having issues.
Wow great video!! Finally found more informative solution for MLB keys, BIG thanks :) by the way what type of adapter or J-box you are useing for ODIS?
OEM key is usually around $4-5 hundred and takes 1-2 weeks to show up. ODIS is expensive, $1000ish per brand per year. It's also challenging to get going and keep it up to date. I don't love it but it's necessary.

@@markmccormickkeys Agreed! I always have a plan B for a customer if I can't help...is what it is.

Do you have to use NASTF ?
Not for ODIS.
Thank you for the video super! Begs the question do you have, other oem software installed on the same computer, if so, which ones?

@markmccormickkeys that's my worry.
@markmccormickkeys what's the consequences of having multiple oem softwares on the same computer??
They will interfere with each other and not allow either to work. The only experience I have with this is a co-worker having Honda software on a laptop with FDRS and having issues.
Where I can go to get odis latest version?
Thank you so much!!!!
Glad it helped.
How did u get the login part? Did you purchase a login from erwin? Or use third party?
Long difficult process with Audi. No NASTF needed. I think they make it difficult intentionally. The price is reasonable ($900 per year per brand.)
What type of software is that you're using on the computer
i guess odis
Yes, ODIS.

Thanks for the compliment. I've been using the Cardaq3+ with ODIS.
Wow great content been waiting for
Odis akl

ODIS is $10K
Who told you that Pete? Odis is $900 per year. It's on their website. No NASTF.
