Let's not forget what he achieved with Aberdeen...two European trophies, defeating the likes of Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, European Champions at the time Hamburg for the Euro Super Cup, Ipswich etc etc. That arguably is his greatest achievement. Aberdeen are still statistically the most successful Scottish club in European competition.
He's a fucking football God, Sir Alex. What he done with Man Utd will never be forgotten, his impact on football will always be felt, truly wonderful man
Kevin Davies Bill Shankly was better than Clough. He brought liverpool up 2 divisions & then won division 1. And Bob Paisley won 3 europeans cups not 2.
+Matt Josh What he did with Aberdeen is probably more unbelievable than what he did with Man Utd. A team made from zero money that went on to beat the mighty Real Madrid in the European Cup Winners Cup Final. Take a moment to think about that.

Good to watch. Even though this was like 6 years ago lol. Some of the players are probably a lot older now, but still enjoyed watching Manchester United play as a kid and growing up.

One of the greatest managers ever without doubt..to build numourous teams n still be successful is remarkable. Like Clougie he kept it simple..can you imagine teams being that successful playing with out n out wingers thses days??
Just such an honour to have become a fan of this football club and under his management. This is why city and chelsea will never be as big no matter how good their squad is at the moment. United is a unique club, transformational from kids to superstars and a global brand not dependent FULLY on a massive transfer budget. A lot of you anti United fans will say we've spent heavily? Yes but where did that money come from? That's the difference.
i will say united never played super entertaining football like city do now, like arsenal did for some years under wenger, like the great rm teams, like Barcelona at times, like ajax in the late 60's and so on. His Aberdeen team played better football than Man U.
