When SAF took over at united I was 16 years old.... the Manchester United I started supporting was not only behind the scousers but behind the likes of forest, Ipswich, villa... my first live game was seeing us lose 6 nil to Ipswich... this man gave me so much joy watching his teams... when we won the cup winners cup v Barca in 91 was at that point was beyond my wildest dreams...I would of died happy just seeing us win that...he took a team that was mid table to being the biggest club in the world.... and the football we played from 07 to 09 was the best looking football I have ever seen.. Sir Alex won the league with different teams playing different ways....a lot of managers only have one philosophy....Sir Alex philosophy was winning football... to win leagues over 3 different decades.. will never be repeated.. long live Sir Alex.. and thanks for giving me so much joy
Scholes Giggs Cantona Ronaldo Rooney - the way Fergie can just list those of his players off, so naturally, so golden. Countless era's of enjoyable football with many trophies to show for it. This man left us a legacy and really reset the bar in English football.
Nothing but love for Boss...I hope he gets to see the success he fed us all these years with the new gaffer soon. And I also hope, he and Keane burry the hatchet. These two are my absolute favorites. The king and his General.....
The stand out manager in all of premier league history. Forget pep, he couldn't do what Fergie did, nobody could. One of a kind legend. God bless him ❤
His deep passion, compassion, love of the game and genuine respect of other teams and players - and crucially, himself - is why his insight into the mindset of players was so acute. So his claim of not using psychology is a typical working class trait. He doesn't focus on that being what he's doing, he just does what comes from the heart and translates that to his head. You can still see that in this interview. Still trying to be the best he can be and a competitive giant
I know he was once a sod with us NUFC and our then manager Kevin Keegan, but loved AF attitude the way he said about working hard, and have respect, you need more managers like him today, he took no nonsense from players, where today, players now have more authority than the managers do and it’s wrong. He was a credit to have in our game.
When SAF brings up risk and then I see my manager 1-0 down bringing on Zinchenko with 15 minutes left to go is the exact reason we won't win the league with him.
What people tend to forget about Ferguson is that he took two unsuccessful teams, Aberdeen & United, and transformed them. That's different to what Pep Guardiola does. Ferguson actually never went into a successful club. I reckon I could do a decent job at Bayern Munich or Celtic. Man United are now in the same situation as we were when Fergusson took over, and it needs the same fix. Someone to grab hold of the whole club, and impose their mentality on it. They need to do what Ferguson did with and clear out the deadwood, no matter how "loyal" they are. I'm talking about the likes of Rashford, who think they just deserve to be there on past reputations. Fergie got rid of Beckham because he was worried about his distractions. God help Rashford if Fergie saw him at a New York Basketball game, draped in Gucci, Armani, and Rolexes, after only scoring once in 11 games.
From a lifelong Liverpool fan, a massive amount of respect for this great man.
May God bless him with the very best of health.
Thank you I go with my respect to your club also you and myself are lucky to support two greatest clubs of all time.
Some of my best childhood memories are because of this man. True legend and a great man.
Because your glory hunter
@matthewdoyle3877 glory hunters jump ship when you stop winning. Jealousy and stupidity ain't the best mix lad.
Glory hunter 😂😂 he didnt mean for winning everything he meant for the way they played the players they had
@@snakeeyes5432 it's ok, for everyone childhood made better SAF ruined several more 😂
In my opinion. Best manager of all time. Sir Alex Ferguson an absolute legend of a man.
A Real hard working man, never forgetting his roots, LEGEND
Legendary manager. There will never be another SAF.
of course there will, but not for a while.
@@happyclappyslappyname another manager that’s won 13 titles in one club? That hasn’t happened before or since so good chance it doesn’t

To hear the boss say its a funny game just makes me smile . What a man
THE GOAT🐐🇾🇪
Our legend is getting old I pray God gives him good health
Gary Neville will forever be criminally underrated as a player
He’s a disgraceful pundit
thats why he keep yapping, complaining and whinging
No he won't
What a manager that man was ❤
Ferguson's son and brother did very well from Ferguson's relationship with Utd.
@Rumpelstyltskin go away

Big Boss Man 😎
He'll always be by far the greatest english premier league manager of all time, the godfather of the premier league who ruled it for years... 👏😊
Nothing but love for Boss...I hope he gets to see the success he fed us all these years with the new gaffer soon. And I also hope, he and Keane burry the hatchet. These two are my absolute favorites. The king and his General.....
Communication is always the key...
Wish that interview went on and on ❤
A legendary man
THIS IS GOLD !
I love this man like my family.
He's describing Roy Keane in the first minute. Personification of a hard worker. Committed. Legend.
I remember Rooney saying SAF shouted at him but directing it at Nani, this man is an artist of management!
Greatest manager of all time.
Missing you.....boss
It doesnt matter what team you support. When Sir Alex Ferguson speaks. You listen
Legend. Thank you SAF!

Utds biggest problem: they forgot Sir Alex's values as soon as he left
SAF, Greatest of all time
Can imagine Roy Keane rolling his eyes watching this and going "why's he still calling him boss"
Respect and admiration. It's a good thing!

It's about respect, that's that. By the way can you see inside Roy Keane's mind?

@@arrow2knee385 No, I've heard him talk to Gary about it on the Overlap.
At the end there when he says. " Its a funny game. " never a truer word spoken. Made the hair stand up on my neck.
Legend
The fact that is that ex players still call SAF boss is a testimony to how greater man he is.
Such a special individual, an absolute icon💯🙌🔴⚫️

It was called Fergie Time for a reason.
I remember how united would score early and you knew the game was over already . Lol. Great great days gone past
A very very clever manager indeed ...but times have changed ...there are many Liverpools in the League now.

Sir Alex should've given Gary Neville the hair dryer treatment 😅
saf can still be a strong manager... just recalling his fergie time games.
Neville fishing for a pat on the head like always
Where’s the rest?
The past eleven years have been a waste . Miss you Sir Alex 🙏
Am sick n tired going back to the past
The last 12yrs we have been living in the past time to wake up n enjoy our present n future
Only Fergie can be 3-0 down and say next goal is the winner😀
Barely mentioned Keane haha
Better than ronaldo logan
Is there a reason this came up admin 😅
Gary Neville is the type of brudda to eat Pringles with a spoon
i'm sure you've never applied yourself to anything saying that
Fergie is a poor mans Wenger
PL was much easier for Man U during Ferguson time, there were no maney good competitors.
Where are those cups n saucers from? Neeeeed
The passion of this podcast shows me the decline in football and that it's a business rather than a vibrant passionate sport
I watched him win everything for us now he is watching us lose to everyone our players are disgraceful he would of sold the lot of them.
I dont think Pep could win a European trophy with Aberdeen....
Barely understood a thing 😂
3rd best manager in history after Pep and Don Carlo
So glad that Liverpool whipped united 7-0, 0-5, 0-3 in recent seasons
Not sure about that tea set.
Only 12 minutes? Where,s the rest?
