Sir Alex won the league with different teams playing different ways....a lot of managers only have one philosophy....Sir Alex philosophy was winning football... to win leagues over 3 different decades.. will never be repeated.. long live Sir Alex.. and thanks for giving me so much joy
you're the perfect age to have seen the rise and fall of utd. as a luton fan, i have the utmost respect for fergie. there's no club like utd and i hope they sort themselves out soon. invest in youth and dump that first team
I’m an Aberdeen fan have been since I was a boy and when the boss left to go to United I started supporting United and have done ever since he’s the greatest manager ever cos of what he did at Aberdeen beating the old firm and Real Madrid he should be remembered for that alone never mind what he did at United .
@im_Batman-xno, aberdeen beat real madrid to win the 1983 cup winner's cup. and then a few months later beat hamburg to win the euro super cup. and just to mention, all three major euro club cups were all straight teo-legged knockout rounds. so it's arguably harder and sometimes the uefa cup/cup winner's cup had more prestigious lineups
This man helped me growing up without a father just by reading his books and his philosophy on life of always doing your best and work hard and never give in
A friend of mine worked in Alex’s office for years and she told me that he always took time to ask how she and her family were, and that he did this with all of the staff, all of the time. She adored the man, and it seems to me that most of the people who worked with Alex, felt the same
Scholes Giggs Cantona Ronaldo Rooney - the way Fergie can just list those of his players off, so naturally, so golden. Countless era's of enjoyable football with many trophies to show for it. This man left us a legacy and really reset the bar in English football.
I’m a massive Leeds supporter but you can only listen to this guy and appreciate how good he was. God bless you fergie! Disliked in your management days due to the rivalry but always respected.
Absolute legend on an off the field..got the best out of an ok player an then had born players runners scorers .The Package from Aberdeen arrived. We love you Sir Alex Ferguson
Nothing but love for Boss...I hope he gets to see the success he fed us all these years with the new gaffer soon. And I also hope, he and Keane burry the hatchet. These two are my absolute favorites. The king and his General.....
His deep passion, compassion, love of the game and genuine respect of other teams and players - and crucially, himself - is why his insight into the mindset of players was so acute. So his claim of not using psychology is a typical working class trait. He doesn't focus on that being what he's doing, he just does what comes from the heart and translates that to his head. You can still see that in this interview. Still trying to be the best he can be and a competitive giant
As someone born in 1990 , my dad brought me into Manchester United.... In 2024 this video makes me proud I'm still united and glad I got to see these in person
You can see within 1 minute of him talking how much more he could get out of a team, making them work harder than most. It's that old school mentality but one which is badly missed these days.
As an Ipswich supporter, I think Alex Ferguson is an intelligent man, with great communication skills. Kieran mc Kenna is also a highly intelligent man, with phenomenal communication skills. Not suggesting he can win the same amount at Man Utd, as SAF, yet I think he will achieve great things in the game, with us, and then with Man Utd
Life long Man Utd fan born in Africa and lived in the UK for the last 20 years. Men like this is proof of the existence of God. Thank you SAF, you have given me some of the best highs of my life. May God bless you Boss!
Bless you Sir Alex. There will never be another like you. You demanded not only perfection but hard work, dedication and determination, something that has been lacking ever since you left United.
The stand out manager in all of premier league history. Forget pep, he couldn't do what Fergie did, nobody could. One of a kind legend. God bless him ❤

You are a reason for me and the 90’s generation to support and follow Man. United. You are our inspiration to love and see the English Premier League. We love you, Sir Alex Ferguson🥰, and wish you a long and healthy life, our legend🙏!!!
We'll never see managers like this again. He was the last of a breed of managers, Busby, Shankly, Paisley, Stein, Clough, Robson and the great man himself. The only other managers who are in a similar vein in recent years would be Guardiola, Ancelotti and Mourinho. 26 years at a club the size of Man Utd with that level of success will never be replicated again. 1999 was one of the best memories I have. Thank you.
Liverpool man, used to hate this man cos he ruled the league even coming back when the challenges of Wenger and mourinho came he didn't give up and came back beat them both. Good gers man 🙌
I know he was once a sod with us NUFC and our then manager Kevin Keegan, but loved AF attitude the way he said about working hard, and have respect, you need more managers like him today, he took no nonsense from players, where today, players now have more authority than the managers do and it’s wrong. He was a credit to have in our game.
I owe Sir Alex a lot. He made my childhood the most enjoyable one. In Pacific Islands- the games starts at 11pm first game and second Game is 3am. When ManUtd play i stay up late to do my homework studying till game comes on. CR7 made me study hard to pass all my exmas so i can go to Uni and one day afford to see him play in a stadium
4.49 Neville answered the question for himself. BELIEF. Alex installed a huge level of belief. So much so that decent experienced players could still hang at a very high level even though they weren’t at their best. It’s kinda like Michael Jordan inspiring his teammates to do what they did, even at the end.
I remember that Spurs away game, have it on dvd. United down 3-0 at the half and won 4-3, remarkable. SAF Best manager of OT since Sir Matt Busby. Looking forward to the Amorim era starting at the Tractor Boys on Sunday.
